I am an Afican-American, and I thought (especially for the price)that It would straighten my hair, like a hair salon's flat iron would.....it didn't. It worked great for re-curling my hair (like the next day). It would probably work well for different hair types, but not mine. My hair needs a lot of heat. Also, you cannot get too close to the scalp, or you'll get burned. I just expected more!

I spent dollars after dollars trying to find a flat iron that really worked with one stroke. I came across this site and purchased Bion from the reviews and I could not be more please with this product. I swear by it! I have thick coarse wavy hair and my hair has never looked smoother. look no further.

If you are like me, you press the snooze button on your alarm over and over and don't get out of bed until you are pushing you limits for getting to work on time. Since I bought the Japanese Ceramic Hair Straightener, I can even press the snooze button one more time. It is so quick and easy to use! And, the unique shape allows you to get closer to the roots than the straight tools. The flat iron I had before this one required several passes because my hair is naturally curly. This one just requires a quick once over and my hair is straight, smooth, and shiny!

Before the bion, I was using a $30 flat iron from the drug store which totally fried my hair every time. When I first used the bion flat iron, I was totally amazed! It actually improved the condition of my hair. Also, the bion cuts the time to straighten your hair in half because I have long curly brown hair and it used to take me over an hour to do my hair, now its half! I was so impressed. The bion also heats up in just seconds but takes a while to cool down. This is the best $200 investment I ever made and if you are having doubts about spending so much money (like I was) I strongly recommend buying the bion.

For all of you who are indecisive towards purchasing a flat iron-buy a bion....i've tried practically every flat iron on the market and bion is the one i chose to go with...i was going to purchase the chi, but i've tried chi's before and after a while it starts to fry your ends...i live in hawaii...so i know what humid is...on top of that...i have long, curly/wavy hair so being in the hot, humid weather here...the bion works great :) i would definately recommended the bion 1" 1/2 flat iron to anyone :)

I used it for the first time this morning and it's light, effective and is better than any other flat iron I have ever used.I have another one which is above average, but this one is even better. Excellent product!

My hair is wavy and super thick and it straightens in about 15 minutes! Best flat iron ive ever used! Definetly worth the money!

I have been postively tickled happy with my Bion. I had picked up a mucher cheaper 'drugs store' version of a flat iron and laughed all the way back to return it. The cheaper version took forever to heat up, was awkward to use etc. The Bion not only heats up in seconds, but it also has a specific temp gauge rather than 'medium' or 'hot'. I have lived with my 'frizz' for over ten years because I could not find anything that was easy, safe for my hair and would stay for more than ten minutes. Any humidity or scalp heat would release the ugly frizz demons. Not with my Bion. Absolutely the best $$$ I have ever spent.

I used my friends Bion strightner for a dance and I loved it. The next day I wnet online and bought my own. I use it almost every day and I love it. It does not fry my hair and it keeps it sliky for the whole day. It really works!

I thought that for almost $200 I would get an AWESOME flat iron. I did NOT! It pulled my hair and left it on the frizzee side. I returned it for a CHI and that one works INCREDIBLE! No frizz and and very soft! Thank you Folica for the no hassle return!!!

I must have tried 6 flat irons before buying Bion. Although picey, it is worth it, especially when I think about all the money I wasted on inferior flat irons. This falt iron not only straightens, it lasts. Plus, it really improves the texture of your hair! I love it and highly recommend it.

My hair is so hard to straighten that even professionals have trouble - but with this straightener it gets straight and STAYS straight until I wash it - even if the humidity is high or it's raining! This is the best $190.00 I have ever spent - I highly recommend this product!

I really didn't want to spend almost $200 on a flat iron, but was convinced by the reviews. I received my and used it right away. I love it! I have very thick wavy/curly hair that loves to frizz. With this flat iron, my hair is not a problem. It stays straight for 2-3 days & does not frizz in the foggy weather@

I have very thick frizzy hair that i would never feel confident enough to wear down and instead i always tied it back in a hairbun. I have tried multiple hair products on my hair and many different straightners, but now I have found probably the best thing out there! I cannot live without my straightner, and I wear my hair down all the time, it heats up so fast, and takes hardly any time to use! It was definitely worth the price!I LOVE IT!

This hair straightner did wounders on my hair. My hair is thick and wavy/curly. It is frizzy and if i left it to dry without anything at all it would be a huge puff ball....literly. So i used my friends straightner and i loved it so i ordered my own. It is delivered very fast and works excellent. But i am not going to lie and say it works wounders, because it doesnt. It just is a really good straightner and if you have the money then i would recommend this one, but if not go for a cheaper one, that will be almost as good. This one does work really well thought, it is fast and works great and im glad you can use it on damp hair as well as dry and im definitly happy with the results.

I ordered this straightener while it was out of stock so i was very surprised to see it came 9 days before the estimated delivery date! I have extremely frizzy ringlets for hair and i've been straightening it for about a year now. I've gotten pretty good at it with my $30 Vidal Sasson flat iron but i wanted something that would take less time since it takes me any where from 30min-60min to iron my hair now. So i ordered this iron and the first day i tried it out i found it actually took longer to straighten my hair with this iron and it didn't get as straight. It does get VERY hot so you can't get as close to your scalp without burning yourself. I think i'm going to return it because I'm deffinatley not $190-satisfied. It's very light weight and very nice looking though.

I TRIED IT AND I LIKE IT! MY YOUNGER SISTER BOUGHT ONE A FEW MONTHS BACK AND SHE BROUGHT TO MY PARENTS HOUSE WHEN SHE WAS HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS. I TRIED IT BEFORE I HAD TO LEAVE FOR MY IN- LAWS. NORMALLY IT WOULD TAKE ME 1 HOUR AND A HALF TO 2 HOURS TO FLAT IRON MY HAIR. THIS ONE CUT IT DOWN TO 45 MINUTES, WHICH IS A BIG CHANGE FOR ME. MY HAIR LENGTH IS DOWN TO MY WAIST LINE AND I HAVE VERY THICK AND VERY CURLY HAIR. MY FATHER IS AFRO- AMERICAN AND MY MOTHER IF FILIPINA. SO, I GET MY HAIR LENGTH FROM MY MOTHER AND MY CURLS FROM MY FATHER. I GET LOTS OF COMPLIMENTS ON HOW CURLY MY HAIR IS, BUT SOMETIMES THE CURLS GET TOO MUCH FOR YOU TO DEAL WITH, AND YOU NEED A BREAK. THATS WHEN THE FLAT IRON COMES IN HANDY. I AM NOT A BELIEVER IN RELAXING HAIR. I DID IT 3 TIMES AND IT RUINED MY HAIR. FLAT IRONS ARE BETTER; HOWEVER, I ONLY FLAT IRON MY HAIR ABOUT 2-3 TIMES A YEAR. BECAUSE I LOVE MY CURLS AND TOO MUCH HEAT APPLIED TO MY HAIR IS NOT GOOD FOR IT. I BASICALLY LEARNED HOW TO GET A LONG WITH MY CURLY LOCKS. ANYWAY, EVERY FEATURE ABOUT THIS BION IS GREAT EXCEPT I AM NOT TOO FOND OF THE PRICE. I THINK IT COULD BE ALOT CHEAPER. THAT'S WHY I'M GOING FOR THE SEDU. IT'S $105 AND IT'S ALSO CERAMIC/ TOURMAINE JUST LIKE THE BION. IT MAY NOT COME WITH THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE SETTING AS THE BION, BUT FOR ME I DONT NEED MY IRON TO GET THAT HOT. WHEN I TRIED THE BION I HAD IT ON 160 THE ENTIRE TIME. AND IT CAN GET HOTTER. THE ONLY THING I DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT IT WAS THAT IT DIDN'T HAVE A COOL SPOT TO PLACE YOUR FINGERS ON. I CAN'T FLAT IRON MY HAIR WITH JUST ONE SIDE SHUT. I NEED TO SHUT THE OTHER END. IT WAS SO HOT I USED A FACE CLOTH TO PROTECT MY FINGERS WHILE I CLOSED THE OTHER END. I REALLY LIKED IT A LOT.I JUST DONT LIKE THE PRICE. GOOD LUCK FINDING AN IRON JUST RIGHT FOR YOU. :)

ive only had my straightener for 3 months and 1 of the sides stopped working. FOR 200 dollars I THINK IT SHOULD KEEP WORKING FOR A WHILE.. i am so mad that its not working.. its like they want us to spend 200 every 3 months for a straightener.. i have no idea what to do cuase yes it made my hair so nice and straight but whats the point if it doesnt work after a while. I am so mad.

A good investment, heats up quickly & easily adjusts it to a lower temperature for highlighted hair in seconds. I use it when my hair's damp hair or dry with perfect results which last all day, even when it's raining. I'm done in 12 minutes & have received many compliments. As a result, I'm growing my hair long, since it's now a pleasure to comb and brush. And my husband loves the results!
