Mine worked well for a while, but after a few months just would not turn on. For the price, I was disappointed since I only use it once or twice a week anyway. Should last longer...

I have had my Bion for about six months. I love the swivel cord, light weight feature, and the fast heat up time. This is a well made product that is worth the money. I have thick, long, wavey hair that I can straighten in aprox.10 mins.

can't say enough about this ceramic straightener. 1 yr later and it's rock solid still doing it's job w/ little maitenance or care required.
at home, on the road. it's great.
w/ the effects i get, i don't even really need product!
read some harsh reviews and they must've gotten duds. too bad.
mine has not let me down yet.
it's worth every penny. in fact, i'd like to buy another as a backup unit *you can bet it will be from folica.com ;)*
you cannot go wrong- whether you want to tame medium wavy to surly curly hair for an everyday look, get that starlet at crobar style or shaggy, edgy rocker locks; like me.
*tip if you're new to this NEVER EVER straighten wet or damp. believe it or not it's better to straighten hair that's dryer.
if it's wet; you WILL cook it!
hit it w/ a good spritz of hair tonic like bumble & bumble tonic and blow dry cool till dry.
let it sit a bit; then straighten.
if you're in a hurry- well just give yourself more hair time cos it's not worth being on time w/ bad hair!
impressive

I use to have both remington and t3 straighteners. To be fair they were ok, but the main problem with both, was that they pulled on the hair when in use and felt like they were doing damage - infact, they were doing damage. The Bion is a different story. It simply glides through the hair without a snag and leaves it very straight. Very comfortable to use too: not big or heavy. They look very smart also, which is a bonus. My only complaint is that the black rectangular bits on the straighteners do get a little hot to touch. So, are they worth the money? Well, for me, yes; they are expensive but really are so good.

The first day i used it it broke on me. I only had half of my head done. I hated it but it could've just been a defect but I didn't bother exchanging. Instead i got a sedu but i'm not too crazy about it.
Excellent Iron

After researching all flat irons in the internet (really, ALL) I decided to buy this one. It works wonders and quickly. It glides smoothly, has temp. control, it's lightweight and it's the only one slightly slanted so you won't even hurt your wrist. They thought about everything except a mechanical cord. That doesn't hurt the quality though. Buy it!! it's worth every penny.

I bought this over a year ago and i thought it was the most awesome flat iron. Ive had previous expensive high quality ones in the past and i thought this was perfect. Then you find the times when you hold it on ur hair to long and now my ends are dead. This straightener gets wayyyy to hot and can seriously damage your hair...so be carefull
Good but with defaults

This straightner really is one of the best but, I have bought two of these in the past two years. After a certain time they will not turn on. So my suggestion for you to buy a different one unless you do not mind pay for one every six months.

This straightner is very good, but after a few times, it breaks, by that I mean the heat switch, wont let you click the bottom button so you are stuck on 400 degrees! I sent it back once and they repaired it, but now it broke again after 2 weeks.

I love this iron because of its design; i'm able to get right next to my scalp without the usual awkwardness of traditional irons. I have fine hair but very difficult to straighten normally. With this iron i was able to make my hair pin straight without my normal routine of blow drying first. The only thing i am not quite happy with is that it doesn't seem to get as hot as it says which i would need for courser hair in my salon. I have chosen to keep this iron for myself for at home use and believe the design alone is worth the money i paid for it.
disappointment!!

I was very disappointed. I thought it would be a really good one since it's so pricey..I guess I was wrong. It did not give my hair a nice shine healthy look that I had hoped for.

The best straightening iron I've ever used. I've purchased several lower priced irons and have never been satisfied. The size and shape of this flat iron is ideal for any hair length. My sister used mine and ordered one immediately!
i have owned many expensive striaghteners. this one is the best.

i have long thick hair that is neither straight nor curly - just a big frizz mess in the middle.
i have been through EXPENSIVE straighteners, my last one was a BION, this one is the newer version and let me tell you
it is true - it makes your hair feel softer! i dont know how that could be, but it does! my hair was straight in one run thru! (each layer of my thick head of course)
much better than the last BION and i thought that one was amazing!
Chi is still working....

Bought this iron when my puppy got a hold of my chi. I was VERY upset (to say the least)when the 3rd time I went to use it the heating element had already given out!!!! I didn't realize the warranty info. was included in the little colored packet that resemles product advertisements and threw it out. That IS my fault but the heating element dying after 2 times is ridiculous! I had my husband fix the cord on my Chi. It is over 5 years old and still going strong. Besides $190 is a lot.
Great - straightner for thick unruly hair !

My daughter has one that she uses both personally and professionally (she's a hair stylist). Three of us used it at home, but she recently moved out and took it with her. We tried using my other daughter's flat iron (she's also a stylist), but it didn't work as well on our hair so we bought one of these and are very happy with the results.
