great flat iron for all around use

I've seen the Hot Tools get bad reviews and I think that what people aren't realizing is that NO flat iron is magic. You have to use good products and blow dry well if you want to get good results from your tools. That said, I love my Hot Tools.
I got it for Christmas a year ago and it's still kickin.
This year I figured I'd "upgrade" and asked for a Chi. The Chi was harder to use and there was no noticeable difference in my hair. Sorry, Chi, I'll save my money and keep my Hot Tools.
I have very course thick hair and it works great. You have to know that you need to use quality products, and generally you will have to flat iron your hair in small sections. If you use Suave shampoo and a crappy blow dryer and try to do your ironing all at once, of course it will look terrible.
All in all, I really love this iron. I'm not sure if I'll upgrade since I get the results I want with the Hot Tools. Great deal. The blow dryer in this combo is also very nice and also is still kickin a year later. Great deal.

I purchased this special while still in school. I wanted these to be my styling tools when I went to work. I have had great results with both the blow dryer & falt iron.Just 3 months after getting licensed, I recently was asked to join a more upscale shop in my area. I do believe my finished styles and the texture of the hair are the reasons for my new position. Of course my ablility too. But, believe me great tools do make a difference.

the packaging was nice, my daughter uses the bag as a purse. but within a month she was asking for a new straightener because it doesnt straighten very well.

I'm a cosmetologist and this curls like a ghd one of the top used flat irons in the industry. The tourmaline is the best part about this set you are getting an awesome deal and they look cute too!! Excellent Buy!

This kit is great and the blow dryer is amazing! your hair gets dry quickly and doesn't feel brittle afterwards but feels nice and soft. the bag is cool but I haven't used the flat iron, I'm giving that away as a gift.

I guess the Ion technology is for real because that was the first time I ever blow dried my hair and it felt supur soft with no static. I couldn't keep my hands out of my hair. The purse is cute too. Flat iron is cool but not the best quality.
Amazing set!! It's a must buy!!

I received my order 2 days ago and used both the blow dryer and the flat iron yesterday. The hair dryer is amazing, it gets really hot and its light so your arms won't feel weighed down while using it. My hair is pretty coarse and when using the comb attachment it straightened my hair pretty nicely. The flat iron curls your ends very well, it does straighten well too, it's not better than my FHI flatiron but it does the trick. The whole set comes in an awesome maroon colored linen box which is great if you want to give the set to someone as a gift but I bought this for me (smile), I will use that box for something else though. the pocket book that comes with it as a free gift is very nice & is lined on the inside with a cool strap. Get this set, it is a great deal and you won't be disappointed!!
