This curling iron works for straighten your hair too, I use it to curl my hair and to straighten so this is a very good buy

For fine hair, you should hold the curling iron in place for about 10 seconds or so with the heat setting applied from about 3 to 6, depending how fine your hair is, for thicker,coarse hair, you should try the heat setting 7 or 8 and hold in place for about 20 to 30 seconds, depending just how thick your hair is. Heat settings 9 and 10 are really hot and so use those settings with caution as it can really damage your hair. Please use a heat protector cream/spray/etc. lightly before using a curling iron or any other heat product to protect your hair and keep it from damaging.
