Straightening your bangs submitted by: anonymous, Wed Aug 13 2008

First thing is try not to take chunks of hair that are too thick or it will only take you longer to finish straightening all of it.
Don't drop it like everyone else has already mentioned.
And if you've got bangs, and always seem to have problems getting them to curve back and fall nicely with your hair then u can try bringing your side bands to the front of your face, place them between the iron and slide the iron down and as you slide it down curve the hair in towards your face. Then once u push the bangs aside, they will fall like a nice fringe on the side of ur head with that soft curve rather than being pin straight or sticking out towards the front of your face.

When you use this product seperate hair in sections.(aspecially with layers) this will make your hair more straight and easier to straigten. Also put some leave-in conditioner or serum in before and after to prevent frizz. (use a nikel size amount each time no more or hair will be greasy and oily.) Prevent from dropping by keeping other cords away. If u drop this it will breack. Lastly before using this straigtener try to dry your hair as much as you can (if using right after the shower.
Hope this works for you. These tools helped me alot. By the way is you havent got this straightner yet you should your getting a good product for your money. It works good and makes your hair really straight even if it is naturally wavy or curly.

I USE THE PAUL MITCHELL SUPER SKINNY SERUM. I PUT A LITTLE IN AFTER I SHOWER, AFTER I BLOW DRY HAIR, AND WHEN I AM DONE STRAIGHTENING IT, I PUT A TINY BIT JUST TO KEEP THE FRIZZ DOWN...WORKS GREAT. MY HAIRDRESSER TOLD ME TO DO IT.

Dont try to go through hair fast with this straightener, it gets caught in hair often and will snag and rip out single pieces of hair.

I usually split my hair in half and put one side into a bun. Then I split the side down into half again and straighten the side down. I do this to all pieces of hair. Then when done straightening I split both in half again into low ponytails this time. Then I straighten it so it straightens the hair together. I undo the ponytails straighten all of it quick and it is pin straight. It works for me!

Putting too much Biosilk can make your hair looking oily and dirty. I only like to put a dime size amount in my hair and i don't worry about ruining my hair 'cause my straightener is ceramic.
Ceramic is the way to go!

I have to agree with Caitlin about being careful not to drop it. This was my first and only flat iron and I had it for about 2 years when it got tangled up in another cord and fell to the floor. It stopped working immediately.
