I just finished using the Hot Tools Professional Flat Iron and am happy to say how well it works. It leaves your hair smooth and straight in minimal time. I am very happy to have purchased this product.
Good results for the price

This flat iron works well for only being about thirty bucks. It gets really hot and I've never burned my hand on the iron itself just my actual hair is how hot it is. Be careful with it and keep it off the floor because it is pretty fragile. I have had good results for about 3 months now. Sooner or later I will get a sedu I think this is a great temp.
A Quick Fix

The Hot Tools flat iron works well for the first 6 months-year depending on how much you use it. By the end of that time though, you will notice intense damage to your hair, no matter how well you try to take care of it. Your gets caught on the ends and breaks a lot, it takes a long time and the heat doesn't stay for more than 45 minutes. I bought mine from this site last year and until now it's been alright, but now I think it's time to move on and get a Sedu.
With Hot Tools you get what you pay for, no less and no more.
Pay more money, get a better one

Mine didn't break like others did and once i even left it on all morning and when I came back home, it was still hot .. but it damaged my hair! I even used sleek by matrix to protect from heat damage!! I'm buying a solia now.

this hot tools straightener was the first i ever had. i have very thick and curly mixed hair, and it did the job okay and quickly so i liked it. then i noticed that it not only made my hair straight, but friend it as well. even when i used a heat protector on my hair. eventually it started snagging my ends and breaking them. my hair looked worse than ever. after 6 months or so it stopped working. it was cheap enough that i didnt mind replacing it. so i did.
i have since been through about 4.
hopefully a sedu will work nicely for me.

My ceramic flat iron recently broke (after 1 1/2 years) I spent $80+ on it and my hair would not stay frizz free with it. I decided to try HOT TOOLS flat iron after reading comments posted here. I was skeptical because it was so cheap. However, it is a fantastic product. I live in a summer climate that is very humid and usually don't even attempt to straighten my hair. With this product-I am able to do so without it looking like a frizzy mess a couple of hours later.

I had this straightener for about 4 months and loved it. Suddenly it stopped working and my friend has also started having trouble with hers. I would definitely reccomend getting something more reliable.
it was all right...read this.

so i used this product but i dont know...somehow i wish i could have gotten more out of it. I started using it when I noticed that straight hair was the "innest" thing at school. And then after, i realized i wasn't getting anywhere so i got an infrashine striaghtner, and ive been using that one and forgetting about the other. And then I talked to my friend who has SERIOUSLY STRAIGHT HAIR! and she told me that she used hot tools professional, and i was like OMG! [oh my gosh] and I went to get it from my bathroom drawer. So, i started using it again, and to let you know, i have the thinnest hair probably in the whole world! So, you would think, WOW! EASY TO STRAIGHTEN! noppe, not easy at all. HARD! but, anyway, i guess the product was alright. I mean, i just wasn't impressed. I have to keep looking. Thanks for Reading.

This flat iron is nothing special. It was the first one I ever used.I have very thick curly frizzy hair so my best friend let me borrow her hot tools gold plate iron...It was okay it straightened my hair but it left it very dry and unhealthy looking with split ends (after just one use!) and didnt hold up against humidity...now I have the sedu which is expensive but amazing! save your money and get a sedu you'll be much happier you did! :-)
Its pretty good

I got this iron for chrsitmas and i had like the WORST iron before so i though this one was really good. but now it has been buring me cause it became unsturdey. you have to find a good tetquinic to make it as strait as can be and find a spray thats good for your hair to portect it. i am gonna get a FHI.

I have been using this same model for the past 5 years. I have extremely thick and curly hair. It has been all different lengths but typically close to my waist. In the past 5 years I have owned two of them. I only use it about twice a month so that my hair is not damaged. If you keep your iron in good condition (clean it, don't toss it around) and generally treat it like you would any electronic it will last you as long as any flat iron and only cost you less then $20. I have used other more expensive irons and in my opinion they all lack. They never make my hair as straight and silky as the Hot Tools.

Ive used high end flat irons and yes they are amazing, but from the cheaper flat iron spectrum, this has to be the best...basically it does its job and i love it and use it all the time! I highly recommend this, its a bargain for the price...also I have dropped mine a zillion times...and it still works like a charm!
Great product!

I have had great experiences with this straightening iron -- I have owned the same one for 5 years, and it still works great (also, I use it every day). I don't have much experience with other irons; however, I can say that I have course, frizzy, wavy hair and in only about 5 minutes my hair is straight.
great!!!!!

Hello, Since December we have purchased two of these flat irons. They only seem to work properly for about two months. I know have two flat irons that no longer work at all, it is very frustating purchasing a product that you feel will be satisfactory and the results are nothing but unsatisfactory.
