My daughter and I have very curly hair and we can use this straight iron without getting a relaxer, and it straightens are hair so straight people think we have a relaxer

i know everyone has been raving about Hot Tools Professional flat iron in some other reviews, but i've been using this product for about a year, and I honestly have to say that it was just okay, nothing great. My thick curls took a very long time to straighten with this product and i had to keep going over each section until it was really straight, which damaged and fryed my hair. Sometimes i would only have time to do half of my head, and then i looked ridiculous! and unlike some other flat irons, it's no match for humidity, and it doesn't keep the hair straight for a long time. It also has these weird roller-type things in it which snag my hair :( i'd always end up with bumps, even after going over a scetion many times. i had my hair done by a professional last week and she used a ceramic straightener, which left my hair silky smooth, unlike this one which left it dry and stringy. Maybe splurging on a high-quality flat iron will help my hair straighten :)

I LOVE THIS HAIR STRAIGHTENER!!!! i have had this for a while now and every time it works!! i have really curly/thick hair and this really works i have never been able to find a straightner that works and now i have!! i love it!!!! thanks hot tools!!

I bought this straightener about a year ago, knowing that it wasn't the best but I figured I'd try it on my own. Overall, it works great, but comes with some disadvantages. The top of it does crack after a while of using it, and the sides do eventually come off. This straightener works great as long as you TAKE CARE OF IT. My room mate was the first to drop it after a year and thats when the sides came off, then she stepped on it when she was drunk and completely broke the poor thing. Overall, it's worth the price, you just need to take care of it and it will last you a while.

I had a remmington wet to straight flat Iron for nearly a year. It sucked. It didnt have smooth plates and was really thin. The only good thing about it was the heaat. I baught a Hot tools after all my cousins recommeneded it to me.I LOVE it! I t has smmoth plates for and easy glide and heats perfectly! keeps it straight all day with no kinks and my hair feels moisturized from the hair serum and smooth and shiny from the straightner!! I would so reccommend this to everybofy! I have thick and wavy hair do its awsome for me.

I am so pleased with my Hot Tools Flat Iron! I have used several brands and have to say this is the best one in regards to really straightening my hair completely.

I have tried many other types of flat irons, Then i was introduced to Hot Tools. This flat iron i found works the best for me, i have thick wavey hair, and when im done i have straight thin hair that looks healthy.

I absolutely love this product. I've tried numerous other flat irons and nothing has worked on my thick, VERY curly, frizzy hair except this! My aunt bought me this about 3 years ago and I LOVE her for it! Like everyone said though, it only lasts about a year but I use it everyday, sometimes more than once a day! Who cares anyways? As long as it works I will buy it no matter the cost, which in this case it is very affordable. And what is all this talk about ceramic??? Ceramic irons DO NOT work for me, this HOT TOOLS WORKS!!

as sooon as i got it i loved it but as time passed (2 or more mounths) i found it didnt work as well espeshally when trying to tame the frizz. my hair is curly and frizzes easaly this did help but stoped as time went on all my friends have it and they say it works great and they have the same hair type as me and they had it longer but overall i recamend this hair straghtiner to anyone.

This straightener does straighten your hair and it warms up wuick. However, my last one stopped working all of a sudden and we've only had it for one year. So then we bought another one and it keeps snapping in half. I think this product should be redesigned. Corioliss is the best straightener though...it also curls your hair with theee most perfect curls!

My hair stylist recommended this flat iron. Received it yesterday, tried it, & can already tell it's going to do exactly what I want...in less time than others I've tried. My only complaint? Wish it had a lock for the clamps. Heats up super fast. Not only would I buy it again, but also recommend it for others. And for the price? Awesome!

I bought this Flat Iron as a recommendation from someone, and I love it. Mine came with a free pouch, which is nice for protecting it and travel. I have thick/wavy hair and it works great. Even gets out pony tail marks from having my hair up all day!

First off thanks folica for the superfast shipping! I have to admit I didn't expect much from this iron because of the price but I was wrong! It works and it works well.It only takes me ten minutes to straighten my hair.I absolutely love this iron!

I have fine hair that if I put it up, it would have to stay up until I washed it again because of how badly my hair would crimp. But with this flat iron I can actually take my hair down, and straighten it and I'm ready to go. I have not found any other item that could do this for me, and I love it!!! Very happy with my flat iron!!

This straightener worked great on my curly and thick hair. Though, It broke really easily (probaby because I dropped it so much)! That also made it snag my hair. Now, it only works when it is standing up not laying down. It stinks, because now I am looking for a new one that will work even if I drop it, because there is no way I won't drop it. I'm too clumsy. You should get it if you wont drop it though.

I love this flat iron, especially when I don't have to use anything in my hair for shine. It keeps it straight as can be even if you put your hair in a pony-tail; it still comes out straight. I have never had any other product work this way.

I love this product. I have struggled with the frizzies for years and have tried many different hair products and irons. This is by far the best iron I have ever tried and my hair is stick straight for the first time in my life.
