i didn't buy this straightener from folica.com. i bought it from a local beauty supply store. but this was the most amazing straightener i have ever come across. i was thinking of buying the 1" ceramic straightener because the plastic on the corner of this one cracked and broke off, but seeing the reviews of the 1", i think i'm just going to buy another one of these. i was so upset when it broke. it gave me pin-straight hair in litterally 20-30 minutes. and plus, the ceramic one is $30+ more. if you're reading this hot tools, please find a way to make a flat iron like this but thinner! i'm getting a hair cut and the wide irons aren't very good for it. :[

it works ok, it at least straightens my hair some what. it pulls my hair with every use, and the on/off button is so easy to turn off while using it, which sucks cuz then you have to reheat it again, so bad place for a turn off button slides in the off too easy! other than that it's ok.

I got this exact straightener as a gift about 2 years ago and I loved it. I knocked it off the bathroom counter one day and cracked the plastic. I liked it so much that i got online and searched for the same straightener. I found it on folica.com. First time buyer from this website, but i am very please with how quickly it arrived.. and as i thought, i'm happy with the straightener. Plus they sent a heat proof pouch ($20 value) for free!

I am happy with this product--it is not the strongest and most powerful flat iron, but it works and did the trick for me. It is what I needed it for. The price was just right--I didn't feel it was worth it to spend 4 or 5 times as much for a stronger flat iron.

This is the best hot iron I have ever used, and I have tried the ceramic and tourmaline ones. I have very thick and coarse hair, and this hot iron gets my hair silky smooth, and it even stays straight in humidity. On top of all this, the price is unbeatable. I definitely will purchase from folica.com again!!

I've been using this standard model for many years now, in fact the reason I purchased this one was because the old one died and I couldn't bring myself to try any other model.
When I've used this flat iron on my frizzy curly hair it stays smooth despite the NW humidity.
And gee, the price is too good to be true for something so dependable.
Great for humid weather!

Recently I had my hair highlighted and my stylist used this iron on my hair. I was really impressed with how straight my hair was and how quickly it worked. I live in a tropical climate, with humidity around 90% and the temperature about 80F. So, pretty warm. Usually I'll straighten my hair with my Conair ceramic straightener, but give me a few minutes outside and I don't have straight hair anymore. However, with this iron I was surprised. I took my daughter to the park, ran around outside, went to the beach the next day, and my hair was STILL straight - and only minimally frizzy. I bought one for myself and I'm still impressed. With my old iron, it would take 20-30 minutes to have my hair sleek and straight - with this one? It just takes a few minutes, and I have very thick hair!
The only downside, I think, is the iron's body - it's plastic, and doesn't seem built to last very long, but for the price, I'm not exactly complaining. :)

It's a great deal. A wonderful straight iron for the price. I'm very pleased with my product. It's my second iron. My first one lasted for over three years using quite frequently (it still works actually... it just has a short from being wrapped so many times). I don't have curly hair, but it is coarse and wavy in parts. The straight iron gives it a cool new wonderful look.

i dont have that thick hair its medium ish but its soo fast to straighten and it can get really hot, i had it for a couple years now, i hope it lasts!! a must buy if yu are looking for a cheap good iron, this is the one!!

I got this flat iron for christmas. At first i was very excited about it because i thought it would work a lot better than my one i got from target, but i was wrong. My hair is fairly curly, not like insane though, and when i tried straightening it with this iron at first it worked pretty well, but probably only like 1 hour later my hair was pretty much back to how before i straightened it. It made my hair less poufy than my iron from target but the plates dont stay together very well. and it doesnt last very long.

I have been using the hot tools flat iron for 5 years now. I have thick curly hair and never imagined having straight hair that looked so good. I recommend this iron for anyone desiring to have fabulous looking straight hair.
I always have 2 irons , one for travel and one for home. Just can't live without this product, and enjoy having smooth shiny straight hair all the time.

I bought my first one of this brand and model over five years ago and it still heats up quickly, and evenly. The outside plastic case has suffered many falls and has cracked, but I am able to replace it here for much less than I paid years ago. I just bought four to give as gifts. The free pouch is an unheard of bonus that just adds nicely to the value

Be aware, I am already on my second one of this product.
Short shelf life, it doesnt heat up after about 3-4 months. I will never buy it again. It works great at first, but it doesnt take long for it to not work at all.

Wow I just love this iron!, Thank you Folica for making it so affordable I paid 50. for mine 5 years ago. I had to purchase a new one because it broke! Thanks, supper fast shipping, supper fast exchange, yea I had to exchange it for another one, for those of you that say it doesn't work it was probably because it didn't get hot enough. I had prior experience. I bought the iron from another company 5 years ago, so I was expecting for it to be the same iron as before well it turned out that it didn't get hot enough, the iron needs to warm up super fast from the minute you plug it in, then if you can't pas your fingers by the iron that means it's good. If you can sort-off after 10 it's not getting hot enough by the way this is on setting #10. Enjoy! :)
