I absolutely love this hair iron. It totally transforms my hair from super curly to sleek and shiny without the use of a hairdryer or hair products. I totally recommend it!

PS- Whenever I use this straightner it will straighten my hair but AS SOON as I go OUTSIDE it starts to curl again! NO LIE! its soo annoying! No matter what fizz/humidity stuff I put in my hair, this straightner just seems to fry it away. TRUST ME this isnt the best straightner out there.
Its ok..

Ive had this straightner for a little less then a year now.. Its NOT the best. For my friend, one plate totally stoped working (she has the same one as me). and for myself, I will put it to a heat setting and then sometimes the heat just drops. Say you put it on 200 it will just randomly drop to 100. So I end up having to put it down and wait for it to heat up again! Plus, on the side of the straightner, there is like paint or something that is comming off and like melting from the heat. I would deff recomend the Solia. Thats the next straightner im going to buy and it seems to work wonders! =p type "solia" in the search box and see for yourself!!
Awesome. Period.

I've unruly thick, curly, huge/poofy hair. I've always had trouble straightening my hair until I found this flat iron. I didn't want to spend a lot of money unless I had too & I was glad that tried this one out... works great!
AMAZING!!!

HotTools is AMAZING!!! i love this product soo much! ive had it for 6 years and it still works as great as the day i bought it! i know it takes longer if u section off pieces of hair, but it does work better that way. though that is the same with any flat iron! the only reason im looking for a new flat iron is because i used to have long hair, but i recently cut my hair really short and a big flat iron is very difficult to use on short hair, although it still works. though anyone with long hair i HIGHLY recommend this product and hopefully u will love it as much as i do!!! or if u have short hair, just do what im doing and get a 1 inch HotTools flat iron instead!!! :]

this flat iron might be good for someone who has really curly hair and is satisfied with a simple "straightening" of their hair that actually includes kinks and everything, but i am NOT. i expect my hair to be as straight as it is when i use my friend's global beauty flat iron, but alas it is not so. i hate this flat iron, i would never reccomend buying hot tools as their products are cheap and subpar.

I've had this straightener for about 3 years now and its definitely decent. For its price, it does the job. I do agree with other reviewers that it can pull your hair at times.
All in all, this is an average straightener that has lasted me many years.
Can always count on...

I have used many flat irons since they came out. The others that cost over $100 are just as similar as the Hot Tools flat iron, yet Hot Tools is alot cheaper. You don't have to pay alot to straighen your hair.

I like this flat iron, and it does a really good job straightening and flattening, but it takes a lot longer to do than my previous flat iron that was almost the same. Sadly, it died, and I got this one, expecting th performance to be even better (because hottools is a pretty good brand) but it wasn't. Maybe I will try a newer model next time! ^_^
Good iron if you are on a low-budget

I had this iron before and it worked fine, the only thing i did not like was the smell it produced when it was hot. The first one i had broke after many times i dropped it but i had it for 2 years, so i decided to buy it again now because it is really good and it's cheap..

This is the first flat iron I've purchased(I wish it had been available in the '80"s!!) I was very impressed with the results. The only one thing I don't like about this flat iron is that it does pull at your hair. I hear the more expensive models may not do that, but for the price, I just have to be a little more careful while using as not to pull out a strand of hair.

This is a wonderful item! It works better than any I purchased in the past. You can adjust the heat level to your satisfaction and the results are absolutely professional. I have purchased an extra Flat Iron for my niece who has very thick hair. After using this product, her hair was silky straight!

Great for the price.

The straightener works great. Especially since I bought it at Walmart for only $30. I got it a few years ago and it still works great. The only thing is if you have curly hair you have to run it through your hair a few times. But defintely worth the money.
It works, but has a short life-span

This product works to straighten your hair, and I use it almost every day, but consistently this particular model only lasts for a year or so. I have had to buy a new one each year, (don't get me wrong, I keep buying them) but keep the lifespan in mind. They are a cheap buy, but the lifespan has me wondering whether or not a nice ceramic one would damage hair less, and last longer. I am debating whether or not to rebuy this straightener (it broke again, and smells like burning plastic) or get a chi or sedu. They are pricier, but i may experiement with them to judge the lifespan.
Don't waste your money

First,
this product isnt ceramic which means your hair is likely to be more suceptible to breaking and damage caused by the heat. I would reccommend paul mitchell flat iron which i recently just purchased. I
If you are going to buy it, do not turn the heat up high because it damaged my hair so bad that it looked burnt out and i had to spend almost 2 years growing my hair back out.
use a leave in conditioner in order to restore your hairs natural moistures and prevent damage
I wouldnt use this product on your hair if you have thin hair like mine, you should buy a top line product but dont use chi because the setting is to high.. paul mitchell is best
