I got this flat iron about 2 1/2 years ago. It worked GREAT with my hair the first 2 or 3 times. After that, I would have to constantly run this iron over the same strand of hair to get it to work. It fried my hair and also broke all the time. Don't do it. Save your money and get the Kenta.

I would like to convey to everyone out there that the first time I bought this iron I LOVED it! It worked for about a year then died. I got another one which lasted an even shorter amount of time, and stupidly another which lasted a mere 3 months. DONT BUY ITS A WASTE OF MONEY YOUR BETTER OFF WITH A SEDU!

This flat iron stopped working after five months of use. I would suggest to spend a bit of money and purchase a product that will last for a while.

I've had mine for about 6 years and the power and heat is remarkable. The size of the head is huge and can hold a lot of hair which makes it QUICK!! Unfortunately I've used other peoples' which don't have the power that mine carries. But everyone always asks me to bring mine wherever we go b/c mine is the master of all! (sometimes it smells like burnt hair but that just means its working)

My brother bought me this product almost 5 years ago for the holidays. It was the first hair straightner that i ever have owned. I was so happy with the results. I have thich wavy/curly frizzy and puffy hair. So, I have to blow dry my hair before i use it. But even so it worked great. It made my hair go 'down' and be 'flat' and everything i had wanted. It took a long time but i was satisfied. Recently i decided i wanted to try a new straigtner. So i splurged for the $ 190 Japanese Ceramic Digital Hair Straightener by Bion. I had used my friends and loved it and it worked great. If you have the money and the bad hair then go for it but if not then go for this one because my hot tools still works for me today (while i wait for my other one to be delivered).

I am sorry to hear about some of the bad reviews, but this hot iron works for me. I have a very coarse, thick, frizzy and curly asian hair. I have tried so many hair products including relaxers before I found this straightner. I now have a manageably straight hair. I have used this product for the last 8 months and still going. Hope it lasts long!!

I have owned this straightner for 3 years and it still works perfectly - I am sooo satisfied especially for price. I have long very thick and wavy hair and when I blowdried and used the straightner my hair was very straight but still thick and "big". I discovered that if i just let my hair air dry and use a little bit of hair serum (I use the European brand steiner but i'm sure frizz-ease is good too) before I straighten each section my hair looks AMAZING - I get lots of compliments from people who knew me before and they also want to know my secrets. Takes me 30 minutes 'til perfection and lasts looking really good 3-4 days. I suggest trying this straightner before putting down 100-200 for a ceramic - a little experimentation can go along way with this iron.

This flat iron works okay. I mean it worked okay when i was using it...I've gone through 3 of these flat irons in the last 3 years...Do not buy this flat iron. Spend a little more money and buy a flat iron that will actually last more than 3 years.

This striaghtner is magnificent bu tmin eseemed to have boken quickly make sure u unplug it or it will result in a bad outcome....otherwise I RECOMEND IT !!!!!!!!!!

Wow! I received my order quickly. I just love the product. It consistently retains the same temperature and does a terrific job. The only thing I would like to have would be an automatic shutoff after 30 minutes. My daughter has a tendancy of leaving everything on and after several days the flat iron burns out!

I have had this flat iron for 3 years. It still works great. I have really thick puffy curly hair. I use this and my hair is silk and straight. Everyone else say that it hasn't worked for them must not know how a straightner works and I are just cheap to spend money on something this good.

The people who wrote the bad reveiws must have had a faulty product! I've had mine for 3 years and its just like the day that I bought it! I have really wavy, frizzy hair and this makes my hair straight, shiny and smooth!! I love it!! and if it dies tomorrow I'll be back on this site buying another one!

This Iron was great while it lasted. It did straighten my hair extreamly well but I wouldnt recommend it for everyday use because it does cause a bit of dryness. The only thing with this product was that I only had mine for about a year and it slowly fell apart on me. Other that that it worked well.

so dependable--has lasted me almost 6 yrs, and even though falling apart structurally it straightens my hair better than my new CHI.
