My First, (and Favorite) ,Flat Iron !

I Got this flat iron about three years ago. It was the first one I used to straighten my hair myself. It works perfectly! It is wider than most more expensive irons and straightens my hair faster and with less frizz problemss than the ceramic irons I have tried. My husband has been a hair stylist for over twenty years, and he could not believe the results I got on my own hair with this! I have three other professional ceramic flat irons, but this is still my favorite one for quick, easy beautiful and long lasting results! I should note that I have very wavy hair naturally! A great product. I recommend it to anyone!
Not too bad

This was my first iron and I do have curly and long hair. It worked alright but not for my hair type. My friend has much softer hair and It works great on hers! Use it if you have normal type to straight hair. Its better than wasting your money on a more expensive one.

I used to use and it would straighten my extremely thick hair, BUT it would take FOREVER! Of course, all straighteners would eventually straighten your hair, but this one took forever. Plus, it's made of metal, not ceramic, so it's more damaging. I've been using my Chi for two years now and it works wonders.

I have thick, hair that has been chemically straighted. I did not find that this Flat Iron worked well, and was never able to use it to straighten my pre-straightened wavy hair. I've tried using it to now to touch up my chemically straightened hair, but it does not give good resuts - my hair catches in it and it does not leave it straightened or shiny. Also, it doesn't close properly around my locks. I get much better results running a standard curling iron through my hair.
I like it BUT...

I'm on my 2nd Hot Tools Flat Iron because both times, 1 plate has stopped working. My hair is too thick and I have too much to deal with it anymore. So, I'm in the process of looking for another brand. Hot Tools is great... but the quality doesn't last long. Good luck!
Awesome!

My girlfriend has used mutliple irons to try and straighten her hair with no avail. After she bought one of the Hot Tools Professional Flat Iron, she had the best "hair days" since. If you have a hard time getting your hair straight, I recommend trying this product. Also, you save big money when you purchase from this website because all local stores carry the same product for about $25 more than what you spend here. Happy Shopping!

I've had two of these and they both work great, but on both of them over a 1-2year period, one of the iron plates does not heat up....but it still does the job because of how hot the other plate gets. I would never use anything beside this straightner on my hair.
good

When I first got this product I was surprised at how well it worked. My chi had finally had a shortage a little over a year, which is typical because my last one did that. It does heat up relatively fast and really hot on the highest level. It gets my hair straight, but not stick straight. On the highest setting though, it burns my hair and I start to have breakage. But, I really can't but it on a lower setting because then my hair still stays wavy. Even though my chi broke, my hair was so much healthier, but this time I ordered the Sedu. I'll let you know how it works out!

BEST STRAIGHTENER I'VE EVER USED!

Hot Tools is the best straightener ever for my thick, wavy, medium length hair. It has heat settings so it can better straighten your hair, which my old straightner didn't have. My OLD straightener never straightened my hair and I began to doubt whether my hair can be straightened then I borrowed my friend's Hot Tools straightner for a week and WHOA... immediately I saw Hot Tools work on my hair in just 10-15 minutes. It's great and it's fast! I'm now looking for where to buy Hot Tools straightners... because everyone I know with my kind of hair has HOT TOOLS because it's the BEST STRAIGHTENER EVER!!! =)

I have had my flat iron for a long time. And it still works! Not only that but it straightens my hair and it stays all day long. My friend has a flat iron that is only a 1 inch one and it made my hair frizzy and it started to break. I accidentally left mine on and I had it on my floor...hours later I came back and it melted part of my carpet...just to let you know how hot it gets. Anyway I love this product and of course I would buy another one again if mine ever broke!
This is the best thing everrrr!!!!

I could go either way about this straightener. It does work for me. But then again, my hair is only so wavy( I like it pin straight). I do have to go over it several times per section. I have also found that too hot completely fries my hair no matter what I put into it, but that too low does nothing. The only way I can get my hair as straight as it should be is to blowdry it ( using a serum), then straighten it. I would much rather just be able to straighten it. Also, with any moisture or static in the air, my hair will only stay straight for 5-6 hours after using this straigtener.
On the bright side, this straightener does heat up very quickly. It also has held up for 2 or so years worth of use from my sister, then me.
I have found that I have gotten much better results from a higher quality Hot Tools ceramic straightener. With the ceramic one, I only have to go over it once and it stays all day or until I wash it!
