Great iron! If you don't want your hair frizzy you have to use hair products and overlap the last curl so it's more defined. When my hair is curled like this people love it!!:) I'm very happy with it
Did its job!

Just got my triple barrel and was so excited I decided to do my hair right away. I was happy with what I got. The tool is not that heavy and is easy to grip and manage at the back of your head. The only reason it did not get 5 stars was because it takes to long to heat up.
I love love love Hot Tools!

I owned a Vidal Sassoon one just like it before & never got nice waves. I always got those ugly crimpy waves, so I threw it away. It just didn't heat up that well for my hard to curl hair, so I figured since Hot Tools curling irons are the best I've ever owned, why not buy the Three Barrel Waver. I just tried it out for the first time after I straightened my wavy, frizzy hair. The waves looked sooo pretty & shiny, too. The waves also did not budge the entire night, through Hawaii humidity, some rain, high winds & the next morning, the waves were still there. Love it!
PS. You can also do curls by wrapping your hair around the barrels using a figure 8. Creates such a pretty curl.
Owned for a couple years!

Ive owned this waver for almost 3 years use it about every day and i think it works great takes about 15 min o do my hair and my hairs down past the middle of my back!, you have to wait for it to heat up of course and the only way itll be frizzy is if you brush through it too soon...Just a lil hint..:)

this is a professional waver, its not a crimper, that is totally different. With alot, well mostly all Professional thermal tools you wont get the spring handle, they'll always be marcel. This is designed to be used in professional settings, that is why SOME of you are having trouble getting perfect waves, you can also try flipping the waver and using it that way will produce a deeper wave and maybe be easier to control, if not Vidal Sassoon has a similar waver which doesn't get as hot but comes with a spring handle for the do it yourself stylist.
Tough to hold, but gets the right look

It is pretty difficult to hold, but once you master the right technique, your hair looks fabulous.

I have wanted a waver for a long time, but when I went to get one, I couldn't find any, so I was happy to find one :)
The only thing I don't like about the waver is that the handle isn't springy...you have to manually lift it off your hair to continue down the piece you're waving. I have small hands so its kinda hard to do it. Once you get the hang of it its not bad.

Heats up quickly, easy to use, waves are gentle and not too overstated. Recommend this product as great value and quality for the price!

I have long healthy hair. I used this product on high and it burned my hair. I would not recommend this. Hair looks naturally wavy whe you braid it anywayz.

I own almost every curling iron from hot tools because I think they are unbelievable and the curls actually hold for 2 days even if I brush through my hair, butI was very dissapointed in this weaver. It is a bit hard to hold and you have to hold it in one place for a very long time to get any sort of wave. For long hair like mine it takes wayto long to even bother. If you want deep waves this is deffinitly not the product. The results are similar as to if you braided your wet hair in a few brades and then undid them in the morning. It looks too 80's in my opinion. I use the 1.5 inch curling iron and get much better results for waves.

I love my hair when I used my old 3 barrel, but when it was time to upgrade, I bought this one. However, there is no spring, and it is awkward to use. I don't like the way it opens downward either...I want the wave to start at the top of my head, not curving under. Looked bad when I did my hair. I returned it.
Great product!

I'm a cosmetologist and while I was in school, a couple girls and I used this product and our hair looked great. Even on my thick hair, not frizzy. I guess the people who have used this that didn't like it(caused hair to be frizzy, etc) must not have used product in their hair prior to using it. Key is: good product + this curler = A great style(that's not frizzy). I own one and love it.

I recently purchased my waver about two weeks ago. Everybody has been complementing me about my hair. It looks so pretty and isn't frizzy. I love it and recommend it to anybody looking for wavy hair!

I bought this thing because someone had reccomended it, big mistake! My hair looked like I stuck my finger in a light socket! Horribly frizzy and puffy! I had to take a shower and re-do my hair (I was late to work!) I was not going to leave my house with hair like that. Don't waste your money on this thing unless you want to look like a mess.

My daughter and her friends love this tool. They do each others hair for hours. It takes my awhile to do my daughters hair but it's really cute when I'm done and she's able to do it herself. She's only 10.
Worth a try..

I had been looking for a deep waver without success and decided to try the Hot Tools 3 barrel waver. It does a good job but the waves aren't as deep as I'd like and it doesn't get very hot. I found a deep waver last night by Vidal Sasson so I'm looking forward to giving it a try.
it works really good!!

All of my friends and teachers ask me how i do my hair! i just take a shower at night, put some moose and gel in, go to bed, and in the morning i turn it on, and let it get reallllly hot and if you wait a while for it to get warm, it works fast! its really cuuuute =]

i love it. i couldnt do my hair without it. right after i curl my hair i look like a poodle. so i take my mousse and dab
it (about quarter size) in my palm. i rub my hands together and than smooth it over the top of my hair. (dont run fingers through hair). it calms it down right away and holds the curl for the rest of the night. it is the best curling iron ever!!
works for me!

I bought this product in March (and Folica shipped it all the way to Japan!) and I am happy with it. It does take a long time for me to wave all of my shoulder-length hair (about an hour) but I get compliments every time I do it. It's a great way to spice up your look when you are getting ready for a night on the town.
wasnt impressed

I bought this triple barrel iron from my cosmotology teacher in high school bc i have really fine, stick-straight hair...but after using the iron i dont complain much about my straight hair. it made me look like i belong in a Dilbert comic strip. i hated it!
