small curls

I wanted to make small curls as my hair is very short. Not easy to use but will keep trying to master it...made great curls and my hair looked like I wanted it to...could use a tip on the end as it is hot but I believe it just takes practice...am taking it to my hairdresser for some pointers the next time I go...am happy with my purchase...

These marcel irons are the best all around. When you consider that they are priced better than other professional brands and they work as good or better. The hot tools marcel was the first irons I used of this brand and I also own the spring iron now. Both give the best results and work on any hair type...just adjust the heat setting for your hair type. IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE A MARCEL IRON PLEASE DO NOT BUY THESE BECAUSE THEY ARE HOT AND YOU WILL HURT YOURSELF...which might make you give these irons a rating that is well below what they deserve. My hair dresser used this curling iron on my hair for years. I now have several in different sizes. It takes a little practice. Once mastered it curls the hair in half the time of conventional irons. The trick is to bend the hair from the scalp outwards, towards the hair ends, releasing and applying pressure as you go. The ends do not burn as with conventional, spring loaded, roll up irons.

This is the best marcel available. I have used many in the past several years. This iron gets VERY HOT which can make it dangerous if you are not careful. For those who prefer Marcel styles to spring loaded you will not be disappointed.
If you do not have experience with a marcel it takes practice. Hot Tools makes great products all around!

I had to return this curling iron as I could not use it without burning my fingers ( no cool tip on the end of it). Works great when my stylist uses this on my hair at the shop,but didn't work out for me at home.

Excellent product. Curling iron heats up fast and curls hair easily (even though my hair is very hard to curl). I recommend this product to anyone who wishes to style hair so that it looks professionally done.

I have tried other marcel curling irons and Hot Tools makes the best. The new, improved more durable power cord is fantastic. I also like the new, non-slip plastic on the body. Hot Tools makes a very durable, effective curling iron in comparison to others. Is worth the money and last for many years.

JUST WAS A HARD TO USE CURLING IRON..MAY HAVE BEEN MY FAULT..BUT, THAT LITTLE BAR ON THE SIDE..WAS A REAL PAIN TO HANDLE..AND ALSO DIDN'T HAVE THE TIP TO PREVENT FINGERS GETTING BURNT..SAID IT HAD IT ON..BUT, IT DIDN'T.
SOMEONE ELSE MAY THINK IT'S OK..NOT ME..JUST WANTED A PLAIN SIMPLE SMALL CURL CURLING IRON..THAT'S ALL. EILEEN

Heats up fast and stays hot. This curling iron is a dream. It is not spring loaded, however, so it takes a little practice. Once mastered this gem makes fast, easy, long lasting curls.

I love this curling iron. I have very stubborn curl resistant hair and so do my twin daughters. I brought them to the hair dresser to get their hair done for a school play. I saw the hairdress making these awesome curls in my daughter's hair & very quickly. I got the name of the curling iron (hot tools), went right home and ordered one on the Internet. It works great. We need the highest setting. I would recommend to anyone since it has a wide temperature range. Very great product. I would definitely buy hot tools products in the future.

I am returning the item, because of the spring loaded mechanisim. It doesn't work for me as women of 84 years old. Not very simple to use

I've had this curling iron for the last 6 years maybe longer. Marcel curling irons are the only typed I've ever used and this one has lasted the longest. It's swivel handle features are the best.

Absolutely fantastic PROFESIONAL curling iron...BUT you need to know what you are doing...There is no tip to hold on to...You can easily burn yourself and fry your hair if you are not used to using this kind of an iron...

Why ever time I pull up marcel curling irons all i get is the plig ins I want tp see the stove curling irpns I dont beleive these work as well as the stove curling irons.

I purchased this curling iron 8 years ago - and it still works to this day. I paid $75.00 so this is a great price. I am getting another one - not because the other one broke but just because I love it so much.
