I thought this iron would be hard to use but it really wasn't. I love how fast it curls my hair and my curls look great! I definitely recommend this iron.

I am still struggling with the professional style handle and am still trying to figure it out. The curling iron itself is very nice.

I have seen a few reviews about how hard this is to use. Hot tools also make spring curling irons that work as good as this. Marcel's can be hard to use on your own hair. However when doing clients hair they are top notch. For everyone who is having problems do not feel bad, we where taught how to use these in Beauty School. If you have trouble switch to the spring. Hot tools is the leader in salon irons market for a reason!

my hair dressar has this and so do i and i love it so much its so great epecially if you put hair spray in your hair first then use the curler !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well... i've been using this iron for about 2 1/2 years now and it still works like it did from day one... I'm a hair dresser mind you so I've used this one EVERYBODY'S hair.... and its still going strong... I even flat iron my hair and then curl it completely with this iron and my curls last most of the day... (i luv it) I strongly recommend it especially because its a marcel... ladies don't get spring irons because they will break quickly... stick to marcels and you will see the difference.... :-)

The Marcel took me a few sessions to get used to, but now that I have the method down, I love it!

My hair stylist recommended this product for my new hair style. This is the exact curling iron she uses in the salon. At first it was a little tricky to get used to--but practice makes perfect. I actually went into the salon for a lesson--wow! This curling iron is great that I will never go back to conventional handles. The precision and result are just that good! For the first time in my life I do not have bends or fried ends--smooth, perfect styling is now what I get. I am fussy and hard to please and I frustrate easily. However this product continues to impress. The quick heating is great for when you are crunched for time and the marcel handle frees you up. Very, very good product!

I have never had a curler that worked so good on my hair!! especially because i have really thick hair, but hot tools worked great on me!!! thank you..

I was so impressed with this product, i want to buy all the curling iron sizes Marcel makes. It took only a couple of times to get used to the handle. After a month of use, I have mastered the tool. Best of all...the curl last ALL day long!!

I am a cosmetology student and as a part of our kit we were given a marcel curling iron....all i can say is there is no way i will be going back to a clap curling iron! The marcel is awesome....i love it...yeah you gotta get into the habit of not touching the tip while curling....(use a comb to help lift and hold hair) but the handle spins and it's just great....great great great....i had to do a review...infact i came to folica to try and get a big size :-p

This is a great product and yes you need to be coordinated to use this product. It works great even if you are not able to get your hair completely dry. The curls come out fantastic. Two thumbs up!

The product is great. Gets very hot quickly. A little tricky to learn to use-especially on yourself. Hardest part is not grabbing the end of the iron-there is heat all the way to the tip. Would recommend the iron if you adapt well to the way you hold or grip.

The Ceramic Curling Irons actually dried my hair so I needed a new Gold Plated Curling Iron. This product is better than what I thought it would be. The width of my curls is perfect. I have body, and shine that constantly gets me compliments. I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs a curling iron.

I OWN MANY CURLING IRONS, BUT THIS ONE IS THE BEST BY FAR!!! THIS WAS NOT MY FIRST MARCEL PURCHASE, BUT MY SMARTEST. I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO FIND A TOOL THAT STRAIGHTENS MY HAIR AS WELL AND AS QUICK AS THIS MARCEL IRON. I LOVE IT!

I wanted to make small curls as my hair is very short. Not easy to use but will keep trying to master it...made great curls and my hair looked like I wanted it to...could use a tip on the end as it is hot but I believe it just takes practice...am taking it to my hairdresser for some pointers the next time I go...am happy with my purchase...

These marcel irons are the best all around. When you consider that they are priced better than other professional brands and they work as good or better. The hot tools marcel was the first irons I used of this brand and I also own the spring iron now. Both give the best results and work on any hair type...just adjust the heat setting for your hair type. IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE A MARCEL IRON PLEASE DO NOT BUY THESE BECAUSE THEY ARE HOT AND YOU WILL HURT YOURSELF...which might make you give these irons a rating that is well below what they deserve. Best of luck!

My hair dresser used this curling iron on my hair for years. I now have several in different sizes. It takes a little practice. Once mastered it curls the hair in half the time of conventional irons. The trick is to bend the hair from the scalp outwards, towards the hair ends, releasing and applying pressure as you go. The ends do not burn as with conventional, spring loaded, roll up irons.
