Very pleased with the 3/8 inch curling iron. Extra springs are the added bonus.

About six months ago I moved into a new home. The water in the area is very soft and my hair instantly was totally unmanagable. I spent a fortune on shampoos, gels, mouse, and hair sprays to no avail. My hairdresser recommended I get a very hot 3/8 inch curling iron. I couldn't find one locally, so my search of the internet led me to folica.com.where I found the Hot Tools 3/8 inch curling iron. I look like a new woman since I have been using it. In fact, I ordered two more just recently to have on hand because I never want to be without one.

I will never by another brand other than Hot Tools! They are awesome. I have bought several of these curling irons over the years. I have kept them so long the spring does where out but in the box (before you throw it out!) you should find a card and can purchase additional springs at a minimal cost. The springs are so simple to replace.
Great, other than the spring

I am about to buy my third Hot Tools curling iron because the spring keeps getting off track. The curling iron itself works great and I love that it heats up so fast. I have done a search to order the springs separately, but haven't found anything.
Exactly what I was Looking for.

I have the very finest of baby fine hair and not much of it and I have tryed every culing iron imaginable and this is the very best. Someone else wrote about having problems with the spring. You can buy the springs separate in beauty stores, and they are easy to replace.

Shopping for item was easy, product received in record time and is better than advertised. Solid feel to unit, warms up very quickly, stays hot thru entire curl operation. Particularly like variable heating temperature. Very impressed with product line. Good value for money.

I have med. lenght hair, I own both the 1" and 1 and 1/4". The 1" gives a little more curl which I mainly use and the other for when I want a straighter look...just the ends bumped. Hot tools makes the best irons. They stay hot, give professional results and last forever. In my opinion, the marcels are better but please don't waist your money unless you know how to use it. Hope this helps.
Great product for the price

The title says it all. The iron gets hot enough so that it doesn't take too long to curl my hair. I have medium/coarse hair. The curl w/ the 1 1/4 inch is a good size for updated styles.
Great!

I am very satisfied with my 3/8th curling iron. I had shopped at the usual stores (ie:WalMart, K-Mart, Longs Drugs, etc) for this size iron without success. I was delighted to find this product on line and in a professional grade. I will recommend this product whole heartedly. Thank you.
LOVE IT!

I would recommend this curling iron for any one. i love it! no matter what hair type you have, it will work for you. I have had this curling iron for almost 2 years now and the quality is amazing, it works just like it did the very first day! Ive been using it VERY much these years and also on different types of hair including mine and it works great! One thing i also realized is that it can also help straighten your hair if you use it in the motion you would use a straightner! I cannot live without my curling iron!
it works great however...

I also have a problem with the spring, as another reviewer has mentioned. I've burned myself a few times. My husband has tried to fix it, but it just keeps moving off track. Otherwise, the quality of it and the extreme heat, make this a must-have for my resistant hair. Any suggestions?
I have always been pleased with Hot Tools products.

I was extremely pleased with your web site, the promptness of your replies, the tracking of the product and also the UPS e-mail. I did not comment on the product itself because I have used Hot Tools in the past and have been very pleased.
Finally, an answer to a too-short cut!

Yes, this is an excellent curling iron! Stays hot. Hair grips quite easily. I recently had a hair cut and the hairdresser went a little crazy and cut my hair so short. I got the 3/8" size and instead and putting just a bit of curl into my very straight (and short!) hair has made a tremendous difference in the way it looks while it grows out.

I am so glad I found this web site. Your service was great and the curling irons arrived so quickly after my purchase. I was amazed. I could not find these sizes anywhere in my area. I have not found a curling iron that works so quickly and can curl my course hair. Thanks again

I loved, loved, loved this curling iron. The only reason I stopped using it was b/c of the whole "buy ceramic." I still have it in a drawer just in case they decide the whole ceramic thing is a farce.
I'm black with a relaxer. I would let my hair airdry and then use the curling iron to straighten my hair (like a flat iron) and curl the ends at the same time. The only problem is that they didn't seem to last long. I would go through one a year (it was a year of EVERY day use though.) and it would end of breaking. One b/c i dropped it one too many times, and the other the on/off switch got stuck. (probably dropped that one too :-)
I was excited to hear they were finally coming out with a Ceramics curling iron.

I like your product very much. The only problem I have is I need A longer brush on the curling Iron. I have tremmors and I can't keep my hair in the shorter brushes. The 3/4 in. brushes aren't long enough for me. Also the end where the handle and the brushes come together there is too big a space between where the metal is exposed and you burn the top of your ears with the iron. I also burned the side of my cheek with it. They gave me a few extra brushes to replace the ones that go bad but I had to use them when I recieved it because some of the brushes were not made wright and wouldn't stay in. I haven't had it very long and now three of the brushes are loose and I had to take one out. I now have a bare space in the curling iron.
None better
