I can not believe I am posting my before picture it is horrible. I just think people should be able to see what it can do for you even if you have thick wavy and unruly hair. This was done with the 1" size. I do own the 1 1/2" also it works very well too. After drying my hair it took about 30 minutes to curl it and the curl stayed all day though it did relax a little.
Best curling iron ever!

I have what my very seasoned hair dresser calls the straightest hair he's ever styled. I've tried many curling irons over the years. This one gave me beautiful waves and yet doesn't feel like it's fying my hair. I love how the cord rotates for easier syling. I have the 1-1/2" and am now ordering the smaller one for my bangs. Just great!

I have very thick, coarse hair. I have tried many irons that only do a semi-good job. After a short period of time the curling irons burn out on me. This has been very frustrating and I have spent $$$ of dollars on replacements, only to get the same results. I decided to go with a Hot Tools brand this time, which my friend recommended. Their prices are very reasonable, and my friend promised I wouldn�t be disappointed. I have to say, she was right. I LOVED it! The price was right and the results have been amazing! Thanks Hot Tools for making such a great iron!!!

I bought this curling iron based on the reviews. I was so excited when I got it, but after using it, all it does is leave my hair burnt and smelling like a wet dog! NO matter what heat setting I put it on to avoid burning my hair, the same thing happens and leaves my hair smelling bad for days. Try it at your own risk.

I have super hard to curl hair. I have NEVER been able to curl my hair before, and I've tried hot rollers, different curling irons, and soft rollers. This is the only thing that has ever worked for me. I have thick, but SUPER straight hair. In thirty minuets, I went from stick straight to curly and pretty with the 1". I reallly like the swivil cord, it doesn't get suck at all and works wonderfuly. In other reviews, I have noticed people saying the iron smells. It does the first time you use it, but this is just because the protective coating is burning off. All I do is on dry hair, comb a 1" section of hair and spray it with a flexible hairspray. Then, take it and curl it towards your head, then hold for about ten seconds. Just let it out and enjoy your curls. Bottom line: Get this. Its GREAT, it's cheap, and you will love it!

Recently got this 2 months ago, I have long hair half way down to my back with lots of layers, I can do my entire head in less than 20 minutes with beautiful curls. I can't believe I only paid 30 dollars for it, WHAT A STEAL!

I really love the Hot tools, except for one thing. The screw that hold the spring clamp, after about 6 months won't hold in the hole. It really frustrates my husband who does the repairs for me. Folica is a good place to buy but unfortunately they only warranty for 30 days. My husband says they need to contact the manufacturer as this is a defect in the process of manufacturing, the screws are of such cheap qualtity that they strip. So here I am buying another, last one bought in February 2009. Hopefully customer service will jump on the company and have them fix this problem. I hope the spring does not fly and hit some one in the eye.

This is the best of the best!!! Next time you watch a tv show or something were there are hairstylists 99% of the time they use marcel irons. It lasts forever & give the most beautiful waves or curls. I have the 1" and LOVE it but i also have the 3/4" for nicer more formal events. The curls last for like 12 hours and sometimes overnight and thats good for someone who lives in texas for something to last!!!!

I bought the 1 inch curling iron after reading many many reviews and I have to say that I'm very pleased. I have thick unruly wavy hair that doesn't do much of anything and I was able to produce curls that not only looked great but lasted through to the next day. Now I do have to say that when this iron heats up it is blisteringly hot and I have been subjected to a few burns so dial up the heat with caution. This curling iron is great! Great price and great results. I plan to buy additional sizes of the iron.

I bought this iron and I found that it smells like something buring SOOOO BAD after and during use for a long time. Curls are okay... but I do not agree with the reviews on this site.

Hey ladies....this is the iron to buy...buy it in any size n m sure this will give what uuu want!! I had never used any curling iron as i have waivy silky black hair..but still u feel like having curly hair..i got this iron and curled on the new year's eve. All my friends complemented me!! then i went for the office party n even fellow girls complimented not to miss the men drooling..i know i m beautiful..all the ladies are!! but it definitely cannot be withou the beautiful hair... ISN'T IT????

My hair is very frizzy and does not hold curls well. I have been using Caruso rollers for more than 15 years to get some wave and volume every time I style my hair after washing. I got this iron after my hairdresser used it on my hair. I liked it so much I had to have my own. (She didn't have Hot Tools). After reading how many people love this product I bough it and I love it! It is so easy to use and now even when I travel I do not have to take my Caruso set. My curly look last long and it looks so pretty and natural.

Easy to use with great results. The long swivel cord is a fantastic feature and I love the look I get; great body with the softest curl. Great for longer hair!

I asked my hair dresser which curling iron to buy and she said that hot tools gives you the best value for your money. I have a collection of cheap-o curling irons that never did the job- but this curling iron is the best! I had a photo shoot that went all day and my hair lasted more than 12 hours with little hair spray. Warning- this iron gets really really hot. I bleach my hair so it doesn't take much heat to curl it. From what I hear from friends, it is excellent for all hair types! I have long hair so I bought the 1" barrel and it looks great!
its nice...but sometimes doesnt heat up fast...

I should begin with saying that Folica ROCKS!!!! they are great in shipping their products and they come in very good packaging!! about this product, the curls are very good but they dont stay that long...someone said they stay for 6 hours or something...they stay for about 2-3 hours for me...but as a 1st experience with curling irons ...this is a good product...one should definitely try it...make sure you buy the sprays from here only...muaah to all u beautiful girls out der....

I have really long hair down to my waist and I always found that my curls would always fall out. This curling iron heats up fast and hot. My curls stay in with minimal hair product. Highly recommended.

i absolutely loove the 3/4" iron; it keeps my hair curled all day long. However the 1 1/4 iron didn't curl my hair as well as the 3/4 one because after a couple of minutes (30 min) the curls would fall flat. Yes i understand the curls will be looser with a bigger iron, but i didnt know that it would practically become straight. the 3/4 & the 1 inch are my favorite for my medium long hair. [the marcel and spring both do a good job but the spring is much easier to use on yourself and the marcel is better to use on someone else]
