It will take about a half an hour for wavy hair and even longer if you have curly hair. I do reccommend investing in a nicer one like the Solia 1-1/4 inch. It is a bit pricey ($88) but worth it in the long-run because it dosen't damage hair as much and straightens faster. | Wet Hair?
Can you use this on wet hair? Question posted by L Thu Oct 05 2006 Submit your answer | Reply by customer service

NO. Unless a flat iron indicates it is meant for wet hair, your hair must be completely dry. | | Reply by Danielle

NO, I've used this on damp hair at times and let me tell you I only do that if its an absolute emergency.
Even for irons that say you CAN, you shouldnt because I used to have a wet to straight but noticed that when i straighten it while its wet it only tends to make my hair look fried and dead and wispy.
The thing with wet hair is that water heats up to an even higher temperature causing your hair to burn as the steam from the water evaporates. Don't try it unless you want to burn your hair. (If you notice that thats why they tell you not to water your grass in the afternoon when its sunny--because the water heats to a really high temperature before evaporating causing the grass to burn) | Not a vey effective iron.
This was my first flat iron and I thought it was doing an ok job until I bought the Chi. Love that but it burnt out in about a year. So i now have the Sedu. It's Fabulous so far but I have a feeling it will also burn out soon. My advice, buy the good stuff, just expect to buy one every year. Compared to the other two products, this iron really can't be. My question....why do this things burn out so fast? Question posted by D D Sat Apr 29 2006 Submit your answer what happenes

Yes they are ceramic | Flat iron stopped working
I have a Hot tools professionals flat iron that one morning refused to heat up. The light still came on but there was no heat being circulated to the gold plates. I called a beauty supplies store to ask what could be worng. My answer was that Hot tools has been having problems with their flat irons just "fizzing" out. Is there a way to reverse this? If there is not shouldn't I receive a new iron? After all I have had it less than six months and I received it for a gift. I would like to hear answers from this company as to why a product I had no problems with up until now has just died....
