Either a 3/4 inch or a once inch. The bigger the iron the bigger and looser your curl.

I believe you should use a 1" to a 1 1/2" curling iron. face the curling iron upside down and wrap the hair around the barrel to achieve demi's curls. :) I hoped this helped!

Is Hot tools curling iron ceramic?
I was told to always by ceramic blow dryers and curling ironsbecause it heats the hair from the inside out. The others will cause your ends to singe. I can't find out from the website if it is ceramic or not.

Clip
i have a problem with most curling irons where the clip that holds my hair in place leaves a crease...i was just wondering if anyone knew of any tricks or curling irons that would solve this problem.

Make sure that you've gone to the end of the hair strand so that the clip can close over the piece of hair entirely.

You are probably getting this crease because you are going against the natural curve of the curling iron. You have to go with the curve to acheive a smooth curl. Hope this helps! :D

Does the Hot Tools Curling Iron take away frizz?
Hi,My mother-in-law has a WONDERFUL older curling iron thats similar designed to Hot Tools - usually I have to flat iron my ends to take out the frizz before I curl my hair - but with her curling iron - the ends automatically defrizz and the curl are shiny and beautiful.Has anyone had any experiences like this? Will the Hot Tools iron remove the frizz from your ends? My hair is long, naturally wavy/curly, fine, but there's a lot of it.

I have long, thick, curly hair and I use my hot tools curling iron to tame my frizz and add curl to my hair. I never have a problem with frizz at the ends of my curls unless I miss them when curling.

What Size?
I have been looking for a great curling iron and i think i have found one in the Hot Tools..but im unsure about what size I should get one in. I have long, layered, very straight, fine hair that doesnt curl very well. I have always wanted long, natural looking medium waves. Any suggestions for the size of barrel?

Personally, I would definately suggest a 1.1/4 inch curling iron over a 1.1/2 inch because it leaves room for more curls. I'm telling you, it just looks cuter whend done with a 1.1/4. Hope this helps! :)

Volage
I see that your hot tools are only 120v. Do you have any 3/8 or 5/8 curling iron that are duel voltage. I am in Kuwait and I would need those size because of my hair length. Thank You.

Barrel Size for Solid but Loose Curls
I have very thick, naturally soft-wavy, long hair. I've heard that larger barreled curling irons are better for creating the tousled loose curls and waves look. Any suggestions on the exact size that I should purchase this iron in - 1 1/4, 1 1/2, 2''? (And also, any tips for actually curling it in that style? It never comes out quite right -mostly the curls stick out in slightly odd directions.) Thanks in advance for any help!

I have the same hair: long, loose-waved, and thick. I asked my hairstylist what I should use, and how I should use it. She suggested Hot Tool's 1 1/2" barrel iron. Take 1 inch (or about) sections of your hair, starting at the top of the piece (instead of the bottom), and work the hair around the iron by depressing the..clip?the spring? the little piece that your thumb rests on. only hold it for about 15 seconds, otherwise you'll damage your hair. Hope my discription helped. :D

I have pretty much the same hair as u ( Italian family). My hair is probobly i little curlier than urs, but a 3/4 or 1in is probobly the bast. They will gove u curls that aren't too tight, and it u want it a little wavier than curly, just flip ur head over, and run ur fingers thru ur hair to loosen the curlz.
