  • Allow the appliance 60 seconds to heat.
  • For straightening and smoothing, hold a 2-inch section of hair between the clamps and slowly glide through hair, using one hand to press the clamps and the other to hold the handle. Repeat as necessary. Do not repeat on the same section of hair for an extended period of time.
  • Leave in fine, thin hair for 5 to 8 seconds, or 10 to 15 seconds for thick or coarse hair.
  • Allow hair to cool before combing or brushing and wait for the appliance to cool before storing.

i've own this flat iron before & it works pretty well i was suprised! If you have very thick hair this would work well for you the wide plates help cut the time of straightning. It is bulky obviously but i don't mind its a good flat iron!

love it
Reviewer: Kayla from Ogden, Utah   2009-05-13

I bought mine over 10 years ago and it just barely stopped working on me. So i bought another one :). I love it because its bigger than most flat irons, and if you have long, thick hair you would want to get this one.

Great Flat Iron

I could not believe the bad reviews I read. I have african american hair and this is the best flat iron that I have used. I also have the Hot Tool ceramic iron, but I prefer the way this iron straightens my hair. I highly recommend it. You won't be sorry.

good for the money

I've had this flat iron forever! I luv it! The only thing that I don't like is it's a little on the heavy side, but does a really nice job on my thin-medium hair. Way better than the ceramic hot tools version.

eh..don't buy it!
