Yea yea...you've all seen this before. But to those who've said they're still using theirs after 9 months...just wait. I bought mine a year ago, LOVED (notice past tense) it and about a week ago it just died on me. It lights up but doesn't heat up. So for those of you that LOVE it right now...word of advice, SAVE YOUR WARRANTY!
Just some advice from a friendly consumer :)

I had this flat iron for approximately 3 months, used it less than 20 times and it quit working. I hope the warranty works!

Do yourself a favor and buy the Sedu iron! It may be a bit more money, but well worth it and it won't break in a week! Trust me. Hot Tools sucks!

I have had hair straightners before, even ones at this price range, and this one by far lasted the shortest amount of time. I swear, before the one month mark hit the plates burned out. I am now shopping for another one that won't burn out as fast.
Keeps breaking

I've gone through 2 of these and they have both consistently stopped working the third time I use them. The first time I exchanged it I was told that several people had returned theirs with the same complaint, so I should keep the box in case I needed to return it again. $60 is way too much to throw away on junk. spend it on a flat iron that works more than twice.
Unreliable

Doesn't deserve a star! Worked great for a few days but then stopped heating up. Complete rip off NOT PROFESSIONAL very cheaply made. The way the heat setting is set up allows any moisture to get inside the iron and ruin it. Just look at the heat and power setting VERY CHEAP
dont waste your money.

i had this flat iron for less than a month & one side stopped heating up. Even before that it took a while to heat up & it pulls at hair a lot. My hair takes 15 minutes to get straight & with this it too double the time. If youre gonna get a flat iron get the sedu. dont waste your time on this cause its just going to break anyway.
i love it

I loved it. I have such thick curly hair this was the only one that made my hair super straight and because its bigger than the other ones it cut the time in half. People have been complaining that it won't heat up but I've had mine for almost a yr and it still works great.
I love this!

I had this for about a month when it stopped heating up, but if you get a warranty on it, they will send you a replacement and my new one has been working great since!

I LOVED this flatiron before. I have very thick and curly hair and it's the one iron that was able to make my hair extremely straight. But now, two months later, it won't heat up at all. It's a waste of money :( I wish I had read these reviews before I bought this product.

I paid $80 for this product and after a couple months of using it won't heat up. Obviously this has happened to more than one person. Do Not Buy This it is a waste of money.

People seem to complain that it doesn't heat up after a while but I've had mine for months, I use it everyday and it still heats up just fine.

I bought this product approximately one month ago, and use it 3-4 times a week. Now, the ceramic bars will not heat up and I have lost all this money. I thought this was the best brand, but apparently not.
