This straightener does not work very well. It eats your hair and badly damages it. My hair is very curly and this flat iron left it very frizzy. I do not recommend it.

I have had this straightener for two years and it's still working great! I never end up with burnt, frizzy or damaged hair. Sometimes my hair gets caught in it, but it straightens fabulously and heats up in 90 seconds. I LOVE it! I'd buy this for a friend for sure!
dont buy it.

i have went through 3 of these same straightners in 2 years ! they are horrible! the paint it chipping off, my white counter is yellow from the burns, it burns my hair so bad, and my hair smells like its burning. im deffinety buying a better flat iron. this makes my hair go straight for lik an hour and then ir will start getting curly. also, it makes my hair fall out! my sinks cloggedddd with hair from this stupid straighner and my hair used to be thick and now its thin as anything and i could never get it back to the way it was. ugh. im just saving you the money.

This is just the worst flat iron ever. Doesn't get that hot, snags your hair, the hair that gets stuck in the cracks burns, hair frizzes up fast, and ceramic chips. It really doesnt do anything right dont buy it ever.
love it

I don't understand all the bad reviews. My sister has one of these and she loves it. I tried it for the first time and it was excellent!
It's okay.

This was my first real straightener, and I still use it. It's actually my...fourth...version though. The other ones I had wore out really easily. My hair is thick and curly, and I insist on straightening it every day, which is probably why they wore out. It snags your hair sometimes, but it gets the job done, even if it takes a while. I never bother to completely make it rodram straight though because that would take too much time. So pretty much what you get is what you pay for. It's plastic and it snaps easily, so you probably shouldn't use it for every day use (don't be like me or else it'll break easily). But if you just want a flat iron to make your hair less frizzy or straighten out some random bits of hair, it's good. And it heats up pretty high. I'm getting a Sedu for Christmas, and I'm really excited to get a new and better straightener.

I have used this iron for the past three years and it has done amazing things for me. It keeps my hair light. I don't have to use products to help the iron get my hair straight. It does it on its own. However, be sure to follow the directions properly. I have had the iron snag and pull my hair before. :)
not worth the low cost.

I have medium length curly hair. This straightener does not straighten it. I turn it up to the maximum heat, and run the straightener over my hair multiple times, but as soon as im done, my hair turns wavy.
It has also damaged my hair more than any other straightener i've used. After using it, my hair feels fried and looks very dry, which causes frizz.
Another problem with this straightener is that it pulls out my hair! I always have strands of my hair stuck in the corner of the straightener.
I would recommend this straightener ONLY to people with naturally straight hair who possibly want to do a little touch up here or there.
Overall review: waste of time and money.

This product is a waste of money! After a few short months, it simply refused to heat up one day and is now incapable of straightening anything!
not worth it

I started straightening my hair with the hot tools professional iron but after a year and half it stopped working. So I went and bought the hot tools ceramic because it was surpossed to be better for my hair. Well it was not!!It lasted alot longer than the first but has really damaged my hair. Also i've had my hair get stuck in the straightener so many times. It doesn't straighten as well as the hot tools professional either, so if your looking for something in this price range go for the hot tools professional.
Don't Buy It

I got this straightener about two years ago. I didn't use it too often because of how it left my hair feeling dry and cracked. It didn't leave my hair feeling silky and soft like my Solia does. My hair was constantly getting caught on the plates. I bought this straighter because it was cheaper, and I regret that. Instead I should have just held my money and gotten the Solia to begin with.
Love it!

I got mine from a friend who said I should try it, it heats up SO quickly, and it works great on my thick hair. It stays straight all day and I don't have to worry about friz. I read another review and the girl said it burned a bunch of her stuff, I use mine on it's hottest setting every day and let it sit on my countertop and I've never had a problem. I love it, although it does pull my hair every once in a while, but it's not often.
worked every time

I have very thick hair and with all the other flat irons Two or three hours after I used them the waviness would come back but with a hot tool my hair stays straight all day long. The hot tool gets hot very fast so I don't have to wait around for it to heat up.
I love it

I got my straightener about 1.5 months ago and it works really well. i have crazy hair and it straightens it in about 15 minutes. It does pull your hair, but thats because the chunk of hair you put in is too wide/big/thick. the purple stuff is NOT coming off, nor do i think it ever will, but i guess i'll find out with time if it actually does. This is a good straightener, and i would reccommend it to anyone who wants straight hair. :)
very bad!

this by far is the worst flat iron you can buy and i am a hairdresser! the ceramic chips off and pulled my hair time to time
Good with the bad...........

This flat iron really straigtened my hair. Yes the ceramic does chip over time and it occasionally will pull your hair, but overall I was satisfied with the results. My real problem with this flat iron was the handle. One night I wrapped the cord around the base including the handle, which pushed the plates closed. When I came back the next day, the pressure from the plates being closed caused one of the plates to break. It broke right at the area where the plates and handle meet. Big disappointment! So if you have one or are considering buying, DO NOT wrap the cord around the handle!
very bad
