I'm a hair dresser and my mother bought it for me for a christmas present of '08 not knowing how bad this straightener is. It was nice of her but the straightener does not heat up enough for my thick hair as well as for any of my clients hair. It also pulls my hair and the smell of that plastic straightner will not go away to this day. waste of money.

i have African American relaxed and at first i was unsure of this iron because of all the bad reviews online, nonetheless I purchased it. when i tried it out for the first time it was amazing! it didn't fry my hair, it made it smooth and soft. the tourmaline technology in this iron really does preserve your hairs moisture! i would highly recommend purchase of this iron or any other iron with tourmaline technology! very impressive overall!

i have had two of these and the first didnt even come on!! and the second doesnt even get hot enough to straighten! seriously dont buy it! waste of my money!

This was my first professional flat iron! i have curly/ wavy hair.... And at 425 degrees it didnt woek so well.... ive had it for 1 year and i have to admit it is very durable but i wouldnt recommend this flat iron for everyday use!! Because where i live we have all kinds of weather like recently its been cold/foggy/misty. when i get my hair straight then leave the house in the morning for school ( my school has outside hallways) probubly like 15 minites after i get to school its very frizzy and wavy and very dissapointing beacause i straigten my hair everyday so if ur onlt gonna use it occasionally then its ok but NOT for everyday use..... O AND IT MAKES UR HAIR SMELL!!!!!

i want to buy this but i dont know if it works. i have the blow dryer that mattches and i want the matching flat iron so someone tell me if it works hhookk.
