Product Rating: 1 Heavy and Bulky
Reviewer: NilsaG from Chicago  Wed Jul 02 2008

Heavy bulky not a good travel dryer ended up pitched in the bin Get a CHI dryer to do the job right.

Product Rating: 1 Blew out after 2 months
Reviewer: Victoria from Wheaton, Illinois  Sun Jun 22 2008

It seemed to be OK while it was working, so if you want to take your chances, I'd say the performance was good. I wasn't interested in trying this hairdryer again, so I exchanged it for a Chi dryer (not travel, though -- I'll have to start researching again -- sigh).

I probably will stay away from the Hot Tools brand as a result of this experience.

Product Rating: 5 Great Hair Dryer!
Reviewer: Kathy   Thu May 29 2008

I've had mine for about four years now and it still works pretty well. It dries quickly and I have no flyaways.

Great Dryer, Powerful

Product Rating: 4 Great hairdryer!
Reviewer: Cris from Nashville, Tennessee  Thu May 08 2008

This dryer is wonderful! I like it almost as well as my $150 regular one. I bought it strictly to avoid the crappy dryers in hotel rooms (and friends' homes) and it far, far surpassed my expectations.

Product Rating: 3 Comb Attachment Problem
Reviewer: Frizzy   Thu May 08 2008

This is a great travel dryer. It is powerful and compact, BUT it has an oval-shaped opening, which creates a problem if you need a comb attachment. It comes with a concentrator attachment, but if you need a comb attachment, you are out of luck. I bought it with the thought that I could use a "universal" comb attachment. Later, I discovered that "universal" attachments work only with round openings. Now I need to buy another travel dryer.

Product Rating: 5 I love my Hot Tools Hair Dryer
Reviewer: Robin Joy Reft from Rochester, PA  Fri Feb 15 2008

This is absolutely the best hair dryer I have ever used. I am 49 years old...have long hair... and have gone through many different brands of hair dryers. None can compare to the Hot Tools Anti-Static Ionic Travel Dryer. I love the size, the weight... and the fact that it drys my hair quickly without burning it. Gone are the frizzie ends!
Best buy for my money!

Product Rating: 4 Hair Dryer
Reviewer: rra   Tue Feb 05 2008

The blower arrived on time and in good shape. It seems to work fine. We just wish we had known it was made in China before we ordered it. (Yes, we know that lots of items are made there, and a bzillion of them are junk.)

Product Rating: 5 Great for my fine hair!!
Reviewer: Nally from St Louis  Fri Feb 01 2008

I bought this hairdryer based on internet reviews, including the ones here and have had it for 6 weeks. Use it daily and love it! Dries my hair fast and still gives it volume. I have fine hair that is short to mid-length. Have no problems with the attachment - maybe its because I do not use it for a longer period of time. Would recommend it for my hair type and if it breaks will buy it again (unless something better gets on the market by then).

Product Rating: 4 Ionic dryers really do make a difference!
Reviewer: Addison from Pittsburgh, PA  Thu Jan 31 2008

This was my first ionic dryer and I'll never go back to regular hot air. This dryer does travel well, but there aren't a million functions on it. It's a "get the job done with no fuss" dryer.

Product Rating: 3 Works Great but Concentrator Attachment Falls Off
Reviewer: J.W. Venn from Massachusetts  Wed Jan 16 2008

This is a light weight dryer that works like a regular at-home heavier drier. It folds and is compact for travel. I've had good results with it. However, the concentrator attachment continually falls off no matter how hard I snap it on. Must be something to do with the snaps warming up as you use it and releasing the attachment. It's annoying for sure, but not enough to keep me from taking this along when I travel.

Product Rating: 1 Don't waste your $$
Reviewer: Mboyer from Houston, TX  Wed Jan 02 2008

This isn't that old and I can't say as I saw any difference in my hair using this but this morning it shot flames and sparks out onto my face. I sure wish I knew the real manufacturer so I could complain, it seems there isn't any info on that.

Product Rating: 4 small but effective
Reviewer: renata kis from Toronto ON  Mon Oct 29 2007

I wish it was a little smaller, but I guess the smaller the less power. This one works really well - the difference I've experienced between its drying and the drying of my regular hairdryer is noticable but negligible. I have curly hair so for me it worked well. I would recommend it.

Product Rating: 5 Love it
Reviewer: Kirsten from CA  Thu Oct 25 2007

I bought this a few years ago and I still love it. It's travel size but you really don't need a regular one. It dries hair faster than anything other blowdryer I have ever used (including the super expensive ones Revolution $300). I love it great for it's cost, fast, long lasting...all my friends and family love it and want one too!

Product Rating: 2 Nozzel falls off way easily.
Reviewer: Alexandra from Houston, TX  Tue Oct 16 2007

The blow dryer itself works well and it does make my hair super shiny, but it's a pain to try to style it because the nozzel attatchment constantly falls off which can be a pain, especially if you're half way through blow-drying because it gets really hot. I wanted to buy another attatchment but others won't fit because the end of the blower is oval, not round. Not impressed.

Product Rating: 1 Very disappointed
Reviewer: A customer from Shorewood MN  Tue Sep 18 2007

I bought this TRAVEL hair dryer in August 2007. Used it twice (its a travel dryer) and the 2nd time I used it it over heated and now it won't work on the hi level, only the low. Since I don't have unusual hair drying practices and only used this twice before it broke I find this product unsatisfactory BUT can't get a refund because its past my 30 days.

Product Rating: 4 my hair is so smooth and shiny!
Reviewer: Christine from Millbrae, CA  Wed May 09 2007

I bought this dryer for a trip to Italy b/c I didn't want to lug my normal one from home. Well there were shipping delays so I didn't get it in time, however, I am really happy with the dryer! It dries my hair way faster than my old dryer and it's so smooth and shiny. Biggest complaint is that it doesn't give my hair quite as much volume as my other dryer. I've had no problems with the attachment yet, it snaps on pretty securely.

Product Rating: 4 Great travel dryer
Reviewer: anonymous from Washington, DC  Mon Apr 02 2007

This hairdryer is very practicable and functionable. I was afraid it wouldn't be warm enough since it only has two heat settings, but it worked just as well (if not better) than my full-sized Conair hairdryer which I use on a regular basis. The ion setting does in fact help control frizziness and static, which is a common problem for me since I have fine hair, and I also like that it has a cool air button. I do agree with the other reviewers that the attachment falls off easily (sometimes just by putting the dryer down -gently-), and that is my only complaint about it. Nonetheless, it's a very good dryer for travel and even every-day usage if you are looking for a compact dryer.
