i've experienced no weird smell as aforementioned by previous reviewers. it's light and totally a must-have for your travels. it works best when you use a little product in your hair. i use tigi bedhead uptight curl maker. after my hair is dry, i then put a little pomade to smooth out and define my waves.

This is the best diffuser I have ever had. It is so easy and lightweight to use. I have always had kinky curly unruly hair and this product was a Godsend. Some people said that there was a bad smell when they first used it but I didn't smell anything. I have 3 more packed away so I will always have one available for years to come.

This is my second Hot Sock. It replaces my first one which "died" after 4 years of daily use. It's incredbly light, fits every blow dryer imaginable, packs perfectly, and keeps my curls from frizzing. There's a smell produced during the first few uses, but some of the higher end plastic diffusers do the same too. This should be a definite purchase for anyone who travels and needs a diffuser!

I love these things. I have natural curly hair and I don't have to work at my hair with one of these. They are very easy and really nice results. I have used one of these for several years and I paniced when my local store didn't carry them anymore! But I found them on the internet and I have ordered several to last me a while.

I think it's funny that this is called a diffuser. It should be called A fire hazard that stinks! This got very hot and did not do what other diffusers have done for me in the past. Meaning, it did not keep my waves in tact, or keep my hair from frizzing. Also, the smell is quite unbearable. It smells of rubber and chemical! Gross! I would like my hair to smell nice, thank you. I know it's cheap, but don't waste your money. Buy a regular diffuser. Would have been great for travel, if it had worked.

This diffuser is a godsend! Fits over almost every blowdryer I've come across. I have keep one in my bathroom and travel everywhere with another. Perfect for the girl with curly hair who doesn't want her hair blown all over the place when using a blowdryer. Perfect product.

I was skeptical at first because of the price (its so inexpensive, I thought it was 'cheap' and wouldn't work) and because of the material it is made of... it really does look like a 'sock' you put over your blowdryer. But when I used it, it made my unruly,thick, dry hair into wavy, voluminous, bouncy hair. I really love it, I even bought another for my sis who has long curly hair. It makes her curls look fabulous. It gets even thick hair dry pretty fast compared to other diffusers.

I love this sock diffuser- is AMAZING on curly hair. However, it has to be replaced every few months b/c holes appear after a few weeks/months. So it works great - but you have to replace quite often.

This diffuser is great for travel and for the gym. It is light and stuffs anywhere. It adds volume to my very fine curly hair when I don't have access to a plastic diffuser attachment for a blow dryer.

I have been looking for a "sock" type difuser for some time now that Wal-Mart doesn't carry them anymore. I was so excited to find this product! It's great and fits just about any hairdryer!!!

I had a version of this years ago and was sorry that it eventually wore out, so I was extremely happy to find these! It fits any hair dryer and is great to take on trips.

While it can serve it's purpose the experience I had was that, even on low speed, the sock would fly off the dryer. Once it hit a friend in the face. Just be careful when trying to use it.

I am heading to S. America in March and with my naturally curly hair was trying to figure out how I could handle styling without carrying my bulky diffuser (I don't want to check any luggage).
I ordered this and got to practice with it on a trip this week to Austin. It worked great... it fit over the small wall hair dryer in the hotel room and prevented the frizz that I get from a stand-alone dryer.
I highly recommend it for convenience in traveling if you need a diffuser!

Bought this soft Hot Sock diffuser because the hard diffuser that came with a new blow dryer I purchased was terrible. The Hot Sock does what a diffuser is supposed to do and it fits any blow dryer.
