one word: coffee submitted by: erin,

I use hot strong coffee mixed with my henna (one part bark brown to two parts sunset glo). I think it tones down the orange and helps to smooth out the lumps... I'm not sure, but it looks like it soaks into my hair better when I use coffee.
to avoid GREEN-BLUE HAIR submitted by: anonymous,

if you don't want bluish green hair... make sure that absolutely NONE of the hair you have on your head was EVER dyed with chemical dyes!!! Even if it has been 7 months or a year. If you know that those bottom 4 inches were dyed blonde or highlighted once upon a time, DON'T USE HENNA. No matter how long it's been, it will still turn a strange color. Your hair retains the chemicals and they react strangely to henna. The only thing you can do is possibly dye your hair black after winding up with blue hair... because even if a strange reaction occurs, the black usually covers it up.
Bodifying Baby Fine Hair submitted by: Deb Bunton, Mon Sep 03 2007

I have used the Neutral Hennalucent on my baby fine hair off and on for 20+ years. I used it as a conditioner (leaving in for about 10-15 minutes)in between Salon visits for my permed hair to bring new life and luster. There was nothing like it and it is so easy! Just recently, after several years, I tried it again on my color-treated hair, which had been done by my stylist three weeks earlier). It was faded, dull and lifeless, and I have really been pleased with the results! The neutral Hennalucent evened out the tone, brought back new body, life and vibrancy which it hadn't had in a long time! I'm considering giving up the permanent hair dye and trying the colored Hennalucent in the future (or semi-permanent dyes), but I definitely need to proceed with caution so I don't encounter problems in the future, but so far, so good!

I agree with the other posting. The original formula worked soooo much better than the "new and improved" formula. The new formula is not at all efficient and I am very disappointed.

Go back to your original formula. It worked very well. I was a very satisfied customer and recommended you product to my friends.
Your new formula has ruined the product. It no longer works, and I am a very unhappy customer looking for a new brand of henna.

When I apply my henna, I mix an egg, honey and some coconut or olive oil with my henna and sit underneath a dryer. My hair is very well moisturized once henna is rinsed out of my hair.
