Product Rating: 5 Helen of Troy Tangle-free Thermal Hot Air Brush Review
Reviewer: daughter from Wyoming  Sat Mar 08 2008

I bought this product for my 75 year old mother. Whenever she got her hair cut and permed she always raved about the styling brush/blow dryer combination the stylist used. Now that she has her own she tells me that it is so lightweight and so easy to use. She especially likes the bristles & the quick release button so that her hair doesn't get tangled and that she can get her hair fixed at home in half the time it had been taking her with two instruments. I have now bought one for myself and agree with her 100%. Well worth the money!

Product Rating: 1 Hot enough to burn
Reviewer: Terrie Ray from Denver, CO  Mon Feb 25 2008

Product runs too hot; burns fingers & hair. I have to keep balancing it with the cooling mechanism while I'm using it. It even has hot spots in the handle so I have to keep shifting my hand while using it.

Product Rating: 5 A real winner!
Reviewer: Roberta Petrocci from Prescott, a  Thu Feb 14 2008

I have very fine hair and also am lucky enough to have a cowlick. This brush really takes care of both those things
It gives my hair more body too. It is not noisy as some of the others are. It is only 300watts but that is sufficient.
I could not be more delighted.
This was money well spent.

I bought this product for my mom. Well she has short curly hair. She likes it very much.

Product Rating: 5 Excellent Hot Air brush
Reviewer: D. Maley   Wed Feb 06 2008

I think the Helen of Troy Thermal Hot Air brushes are awesome. I have them in different sizes. I also tried a Revlon thermal hot air brush and did not think it was as good quality as the Helen of Troy line.

Product Rating: 4 Changes from old style for the worse
Reviewer: Helen Smith from Houston, TX  Sat Feb 02 2008

My old Helen of Troy hot brush looks just like this and they have made changes. The bristles are softer and do not hold my fine, short hair as well. Also on the old brush, you could take out two screws and soak the brush to remove product. The screws are now rivets. The instructions say when product builds up to wipe it off with a damp cloth. That doesn't work very well at all. This is another case of "new and improved" for the worse. I haven't found a better hot brush, so I am using it, just wish they had left the old design alone! At least take the advertising off the package that says the brush is removable

Product Rating: 5 Right size, right heat for fine straight hair
Reviewer: KWY from Memphis, TN  Sat Feb 02 2008

My old vidal sassoon hot brush was great, but it finally died. I was using a Revlon hot brush, but it didn't get hot enough to curl my hair; the barrel was too big and the air flow blew my fine hair off the barrel. This Helen of Troy is just the right diameter to curl my straight hair (between chin & shoulder-length). The heat is enough to curl without burning, and the air flow isn't so strong that my hair flies around. I love it & wish I hadn't spent $26 on the Revlon.

Product Rating: 5 Very Happy this is brush
Reviewer: Roberta Petrocci   Wed Jan 30 2008

This brush does the trick. Just what I needed for this fine hair with a cowlick to boot. The cowlick does not part off like it used to. And it gives my hair more body.

Product Rating: 5 Salon qaulity
Reviewer: anonymous from alabama  Mon Jan 28 2008

I love, love, love this dryer/curler. It gives my medium length hair the smoothness that I want without burning it. I learned about it from my sister who has her hair done at a high class salon in Atlanta.

Product Rating: 5 thermal hot air brush
Reviewer: Marla Briggs from Salem Oregon  Mon Dec 10 2007

This brush is wonderful for fine straight hair. It gives my hair twice the body of any hot hair brush I have tried, and I have tried them all.

Product Rating: 5 Can't live without it!!
Reviewer: Terry Sechrest from Independence, MO  Sat Sep 01 2007

I have an average amount of baby fine hair worn in a wedge. I want some volume and I want to get ready quick! This has been the BEST curling iron/dryer I have found. I tried about 3 others before I found this and like it so well I have it in 2 sizes and recently ordered 4 more of the one I can't live without. I have no complaints!!It doesn't eat your hair and and mine has never shut off from overheating.

Product Rating: 5 Love it! Love it! Love it!
Reviewer: Anita from Albuquerque, NM  Thu Jul 26 2007

I have very fine, short , permed hair that I have been curling with a curling iron for YEARS. With this product, I have more body and softer curls than ever before!! And in less time!! I just use it on damp hair, curl opposite of growth like recommended and use a little texurizer after. Best purchase I've made in a long time!! Thanks Folica!!

Like this product very much. Worth the price.

Product Rating: 5 Great Hot Air Brush for fine hair
Reviewer: Brenda from VA  Mon Apr 30 2007

I have very fine hair and this brush works great. When I first ordered it I was a little concerned, but thought I would give it a try. I am glad that I did. The bristles are flexible and not stiff as I had expected and does not leave my hair looking frizzled. It is a very good product.

Reviewer: MWB   Sat Apr 28 2007

I have tried several curling brushes, and quite frankly I haven't found any that are of the quality of my old Conair which lasted for years. This Helen of Troy brush works ok. It gets hot, but it will only go to one setting other than cool. It is cheaply built and I don't expect it to last...we'll see.

Product Rating: 2 Not Much Hot Air
Reviewer: Ruth from Herndon, VA  Wed Feb 28 2007

I was very disappointed with this hot air brush. There was little or no air being blown through the brush so it virtually did nothing to my hair.

Product Rating: 5 Great for fine hair!
Reviewer: NYC Blondie from New York, NY  Tue Feb 20 2007

I have really fine straight blonde hair, and this brush just plumps it up and gives it so much body! After spraying on some thickening lotion or mousse, I use this when my hair is damp, and I get lots of volume. Easy to use, I like the cool button to set the curls, and I have not experienced it overheating like some people have. Love it, highly recommended!

Reviewer: D. Irwin   Thu Jan 11 2007

I find that it was a little bulky to handle and I don't like having to push cool while trying to curl if it gets hot.

Product Rating: 5 Love it.
Reviewer: Sharon from Illinois  Sun Nov 12 2006

This air brush gives my shoulder length fine hair body and super shine and softness. I use my T3 blowdryer first (another fantasic product) and dry my hair until damp and then I finish with this air brush. I can now do my hair in half of the time! No more velco rollers for me! Love it!

Product Rating: 3 Just Okay
Reviewer: Rebecca from Boston  Sun Nov 05 2006

This brush worked for putting some body and a little curl into my hair. But it really didn't make my hair look smooth like a round brush and hair dryer does. After using this hot brush, my hair was kind of puffy and frizzy. It also doesn't seem sturdy enough to really get that pull that you need in order to straighten out the natural waves. I've since gone back to just blow drying my hair and then using the chi straighter to smooth it out and get that soft, straight but with body look.
