Finally!!! A large barrell curling iron!

YAY!! I finally found a large barrel curling iron! I have been searching everywhere for what seems like years to find a curling iron that would smooth my hair out and not make me end up looking like Shirley Temple. I could only find the curling irons that clamp. I really need the teeth for my super fine hair. When I came across this website and found this curling brush, I could not believe my eyes. I read through all the testimonials and was a little skeptical about making my purchase. But I thought I would give it a try. Man, am I ever glad that I did. It works perfectly with my type hair (thick but very fine). I will say that this curling iron does not get super hot like some others. But actually I find this to be a positive aspect in that it does not fry my fragile hair. I would very definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a styling tool to smooth and gently shape your hair. Thank you folica.com for selling this product.

Couldn't find a 1 inch curling brush anywhere around or in my home town. Was hesitant about ordering one off the internet, but was I ever happy I did. I was kept well informed throught emails of the progress of my order and it arrived within 1 week. I like this curling brush better than any others I have ever used. The bristles grip much better and it heats up fast. Very well worth the money. I will definately order another when this one wears out!!!

It works fair for the price. The price was good, but it does not heat up enough for my hair. The tip also heats up to much to hold on to it to help role my hair. The product is fair.

I ordered this item for my wife because her old iron brush stopped working. She had been without one for a while. She shopped a number of stores to replace her old iron brush but they never had the one she was looking for. I decided to google it and Folica.com had the exact brush she wanted for a very good price. I ordered it and was advised it would take 4-6 days for delivery. To my surprise we received it in 2 days. My wife was very happy because it was just what she wanted and it works beautifully. makes large curls and it provides sufficient heat.

This curling brush is very difficult to find in stores. It is the perfect curling brush for those that do not know how to use a curling iron and for those that have short hair. I have been using this curling brush for at least 10 years. I recommend it for any type of hair. It is excellent and very inexpensive.

I love the 1 1/2 inch Helen of Troy Brush Iron. I can't find it in any store at 1 1/2 inches. I have looked in Florida, NYC, and North Carolina. Thanks so much for carrying this and when I wear it out - I will be back.

After not beiny able to find the 1/2 inch brush iron any where else, I didn't expect too much. However, it gets sufficiently hot, has great control of the hair, has levels of heat and can be turned off without being disconnected. I am pleased.

Brush was the correct size and heats up nicely. I never noticed a longer heat up time like someone else commented in their review. The product was better quality than others I've used in the past. However, the blue tip end does get hot. I also wish that the blue tip had a screw in the end to tighten it or to loosen it in order to remove teeth instead of the "turn & remove" system it currently has. It's too easy for the teeth to come loose if you just move the blue tip just a little.

I was disappointed with the 1 1/2" brush iron I ordered. It does not seem to get very hot, and since the barrel is so large, I don't really see much in the way of a curl on my straight hair. It is a replacement for my old 1 or 1 1/4" conair instant heat curling brush that finally stopped working. I LOVED that curling brush and Conair doesn't make them anymore.
Maybe I should have gone for the 1" barrel?

This curling brush's handle is too short, the on off switch is right where you hold the handle and so while you are using it, you are always truning it off by mistake. The worst part about this product is that the end (tip) gets hot, so it is very difficult to use.
Won't heat up enough to curl hair!

Warning...DON'T buy unless you have a good return policy! Some work, SOME DON'T!
Bought the 1 1/2" brush iron by Helen of Troy. The iron doesn't heat up enough to curl hair. I still have my old curling iron brush by Conair, but the handle is broken, so I decided to read the temperature with an 'insta-read' thermometer. The Conair which is great sent the thermometer zooming up to it's max at 220 degrees, whereas the Helen of Troy slowly limped up to 180 degrees. Since I got it on ebay...tsk tsk, returning it would have only netted me a lousy 2$ return, so I threw it in the trash rather than give it to goodwill and have someone waste good money after bad.

This is a great curling brush. Fits good in your hand and heats up quickly. The switch doesn't get turned off accidentally when you are using it.

I was just so pumped to finally find a big curling brush! I have looked everywhere. I was a little disappointed though. I think that the curling brush I received just doesn't seem to get hot enough, however, I still relaly like it and use it everyday. I have really thin fine hair and I have tried numerous cuts with no real satisfaction so I decided to just let my hair grow. It is now shoulder length and I can at least do a little with it thanks to the curling brush I ordered. I really like the big SOFT curls I get with it. I ranked it at only a bit above average because I was finally able to find one but like I said before, I think the brush should get a little hotter. The tip gets plenty hot but the barrel doesn't seem to and my hair does get caught around the or should I say between the barrel and the handle if you know what I mean, I wish it wouldn't do that. I would like any heads up I could get on any new products like the big curling brush. If you come out with a new and or improved big curling brush please, let me know!!!
