Very good dryer

I was interested in tourmaline hairdryers and found this dryer for $59 about 3 years ago. I have very thick, long hair that holds water and takes forever to dry. This dryer cuts the drying time in half, doesn't fry my hair and is much quieter than any dryer I've owned. After three years of daily use my cat knocked it off the counter and one of the wires inside has come loose and causing the power to cut out but it's definitely worth repairing given the price of new dryers. It has less airflow than my old dryer but with the tourmaline/ion technology combined with the heat, it dries my hair much faster without snarling and tangling my hair. The high heat setting is too hot for me so I don't bother using it. I've read how great the T3 is but the same reviews also say they don't last. I rate this "Good" as I'm sure there are some better models out there but this is a good, reliable dryer for the price.
So-so performance, can't go the distance.

I found this hairdryer not to be superior to your average drugstore hairdryer in terms of drying speed as well as ability to tame frizz, but it definitely looked extremely cool and was satisfactory. After 15 months of use (about every other day), one day there was an electrical popping noise and smoke coming out the back of the hairdryer. I don't think I'm going to bother trying to get it repaired.

I was really surprised to read of few negative reviews on this dryer, I think this hairdryer is awesome!I ordered both the HAI elite and the Hot Tools tourmaline 1875 dryer because I had read so many reviews and I could not make up my mind between the two. What I really disliked about the Hot Tools dryer was the location of the buttons, I kept shutting if off or changing the heat settings, it was enough of a hassle that I sent it back. Now with this HAI dryer, the buttons are basically in the same location but they dont shut on or off when you are drying your hair. The heat temperature on this dryer is very hot and the air flow is excellent. This dryer made my hair soft, full and dried quickly. Also, if I am going to spend alot of money on a dryer, I want it to look good as well! This dryer has a nice, more expensive looking design, it doesnt look cheap like others out there. I would totally recommend this dryer, especially over the more expensive T3 which has horrible airflow in my opinion.
Love it

This is the nicest hair dryer I have ever owned. I loved it so much, I purchased a second hair dryer to keep at my weekend home. The dryer is lightweight and easy to manage. My hair, which is thick and curly, dries in no time flat. I recommended this hair dryer to my hairdresser and she purchased one as well.
My Favorite Hair Blower

I love this hair blower, and its heat is certainly adequate. I have fine hair, and some of the hair blowers just get too hot for my hair. One feature I particularly like is that you can place it down on the counter while it is still on, and it will not move because of the non-skid material covering part of it.
The placement of the on/off switch farther up the handle is a little odd, and maybe not the best design, but this is a very minor inconvenience to which I can accustom myself.
Disappointing

I was excited to buy this dryer. It has a higher wattage than my old Super Solano (that I love) which was my motivation to make the purchase. This dryer was a disappointment. It doesn't get very hot and for the amount of wattage it has, the output is not strong at all. I returned it. I am now using my old dryer which is duct taped but at least I'm getting the results I need!
Save your money and buy a Super Solano - I've had it for about 10 years!
Not powerful enough

This dryer did not feel like a normal 1875W dryer. Just not very powerful, and thus did NOT reduce drying time. It did style well, however, and left my hair shiny and smooth. Also, the cold shot button is not positioned well, my finger hits it numerous times while drying and I have to hit it again to turn it off. I ended up returning this hair dryer due to the lack of air flow.
HAI eLite turbo Ionic dryer - best dryer I've used

I have used my fair share of dryers & this is the best one so far. The dryer leaves your hair so soft and is really quiet. I have platinum blonde hair that is very dry & split from bleaching, this dryer really does help . I use it along with my chi straightening iron & my hair looks so much more healthy than it actually is when I am done. I would also like to point out that the dryer does have a cold/hot option button , not a cold shot button , I think that the negative reviews this dryer recieved was a result of people not reading instructions & not knowing how to use the dryer the correct way. Overall I would rate this dryer 10/10 . I was lucky enough to get a great deal on mine $80 and it was totally worth it

I slaved over whether to buy the T3, the Chi Rocket or this product. I ended up with the Hai because I wanted the new tourmaline technology, and I also wanted a lightweight hairdrayer. After reading all of the reviews of the T3, I came back thinking it was a good hair dryer "when it worked", but made rather cheaply. The Chi Rocket doesn't have the tourmaline, and I wanted to really try it. So I ended up with this Hai and took a chance. The negative reviews on this product ARE NOT TRUE. It is my belief that these customers did not use the hairdryer correctly. It has a button on the top of it which has an on/off switch for the heat (not a cold shot button). I think that they didn't press this button in.
All in all, it dryed my hair in a snap, left is soft and silky, it was sooo lightweight, and a pleasure to use. I highly recommend it. This is a true salon product. Give it a try!
not worth the money!

This dryer was not only over priced but not what I thought it would be. It didn't heat up and had very low pressure. As I was drying it my hair was getting kinda puffy and not silky soft at all, and it did take pretty long to dry. I returned it the next day! Although the only thinkg I did like was that my hair did feel soft and nice the next morning, but I don't know if that was the dryer or all the hair product I had put into it. I wouldn't recommend this, it's too much money for not that great a product.
Not a Hot Dryer

Dryer doesn't get real hot and takes a little longer than my old dryer to dry my hair. Not worth the money and you better off buying a dryer that heats up more.
