How do you control it? The manual is a small booklet that hardly has any information.Do I let it warm up for a few minutes and is it the highest? I let mine warm up, but it doesn't seem too hot. I don't understand how to control the temperature. Thanks.

Short hair
Will this work well on short hair? My hairdresser used it and it worked well but not sure I can do it myself. Is it hard to use?Thanks.P

can it straighten ends?
looking at the picture of the tong iron, it looks as though it can straighten hair but would curl the ends of your hair either over or under. is there any way to make the ends straight rather than flipped out or curled under?

My hair is shoulder length and very thin and also curly. My hair dresser uses it on me every time I go to her. She has flipped up my hair and flipped it under. But YES,to answer your question she has done it just flat for me as well. It looks awesome. I am going to buy one myself. I can't get the same results with all the others I have bought. And, that has been many. Hope that helps. |
Can it be used as a curling iron?
Wondering if anyone knows if the eLite Tong can be used like a curling iron...I know it says it can make "smooth circular shapes" and "alternating curls" but I'm not sure exactly what that means???Thanks!

sometimes i like to use it as a curling iron. it doesn't make tight ringlets but it makes really pretty loose curls. all you have to do it twist your wrist while you straighten your hair (in the same motion you would twist your hair around a curling iron). whenever i would use curling irons, my hair would never hold the curl for more than 5 minutes - but when i curl my hair with this straightener my hair holds the curl for days! it's amazing, i love this straightener. |
