Awesome Straightener!!!
Reviewer:

I had tried this straightener once before, and it worked really well! I have curly hair, and in humidity, my hair is hard to keep straight. This straightener got so hot, that my hair stayed straight when going outside. This past week, my old straightener (a Remington Wet to Straight) died, so I decided it was time to upgrade, and was so excited to purchase this one. This straightens my hair so nicely, and doesn't fry the ends of either. Don't listen to the reviews about how awful it works etc, because it truly is a top of the line straightener. I DEFINITELY recommend purchasing this one!!!!
Most versatile flat iron. You'll love the results.

Best ever flat iron! I purchased this iron at the Denver hair show and I just love it. It flattens the hair nicely and curls very nicely. If you are having trouble with creases you should probably have someone demo it for you again. I plan on retailing this product in my salon:)

Better than the CHI

The HAI Elite Digistick Flat Iron is way better than the CHI flat iron. My hair stylist always used this flat iron on my hair, and it ALWAYS turned out looking great. I was stuck with a CHI (it is a good flat iron, however HAI outshines it by far). I was satisfied with the CHI, but never got the results I did when going to the hair salon. Until one day it broke, so I decided to buy this HAI. I thought it wouldn't be different by buying the HAI, but turns out my hair looks and feels EXACTLY like it does when I go to the hair salon. The HAI left my hair feeling so silky, smooth, and it has a GREAT shine to it! I have very curly, course hair that takes a while to straighten. I use it on high (380 degrees). It cuts the straightening time for me by far! I absolutely, highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.
Pulls hair and leaves creases.

Poor quality Iron. I had HAI before and was extremely satisfied with its quality. I basically wanted to keep the same brand and upgrade to another product, which actually turned out to be worse than what I had. I would not recommend this product.

I just recieved it as a Christmas gift. At midnight I opened it and said to myself could it work on my hair now that it is dry and curly. Can you believe that in 15 minutes my hair was as straight as if I had a Japanese Straightner just done, but even better. I would definitely tell my friends it is great to have especially to get a salon look at your own home. Thanks Santa...xoxo

This iron is not worth wasting your money! I am a professional in the industry and bought one of these irons because of all the great reviews...I hate this iron and was so embarrassed after doing a few clients hair with it. It sticks and pulls the hair out! It leaves creases throughout the hair. My clients were very dissatisfied with their results..no shine even with product used. I was even trained by the HAI rep Edward Teitel.
Plates chip after 3 months of use

I am now on my second digistick. I purchased the first one 6 months ago. After 3 months the covering on the plates started to chip off. It would snag and tear at my hair making it look frizzy and dull. I got a replacement for the first one, and now 3 months later the plates are chipping AGAIN. Lousy quality control. I would not recommend this flat iron to anyone.
You wont regret it......Use what Aveda stylist use and get the best!

I have been thru 5 different flat irons (including a Solia that I was less than impressed with) until I found the HAI. It has definately made my fine wavy hair look so great even when the humidity is bad outside. The temperature settings are accurate on the iron and it heats up sooooo fast. It works to straighten your hair stick straight but it doesnt burn or damage the cuticle. If anything if makes your hair a little bit healthier because it seals the moisture in the cuticle. I will buy this one again even if it does quit working because it is worth more than any other iron to me. I am now proud of my soft, silky hair when I go out!
I'm not crazy about this HAI product-returning it ASAP!!!!

I have had HAI convertible flat iron before (the blue ceramic falt iron). It was my first and I was very happy with it. It left my hair SHINY and SMOOTH! When that one broke, I decided to buy this one. Because the iron plate is not COATED like the Blue Hai, your hair will not be as smooth or shiny. When you grab the tongs with your hair and attempt to straighten it, it just makes your hair dryer and duller. I'm so disappointed. I thought because this item cost more, it would be worth it! Apparently not! I'm returning this item today and I'm going to re-order the Hai Convertible (the $74.oo one, blue iron plates). I have to warn you though my first HAI only lasted 1 year til it sparked and caught on fire. My advice is to make sure the cords never are pulled abruptly or tangled. It makes the inner electrical wires loose which results in a dead HAI flat iron.
amazing!

i had a ceramic straightener that i had gotten for christmas and it lasted about 7 months and i was dissappointed, i did some research on straighteners and came across the HAI i was a little bit worried i would pay all this money for it and it wouldn't work. My hair is extremely puffy and would usually take me from 45 mins to an hour to straighten. It took me 15 minutes with the HAI this is a great investment and i love it :)it also lasted throught humidity and it was straight when i got up this morning
Really love it!

I really like this product. It's smaller size makes it easier to use than other irons I have used. I also use it to curl the ends of my hair.
Great flat iron until it broke

I understand that all irons will eventually break but i paid near $200 and it lasted one year and 2 months...of course out of range of warranty. I use it approx. once a week and i dont use it on the highest temp. It just stopped turning on one day. Its great but if you are paying that much it should last you in my opinion at least 2 years. I have had revlon and conair flat irons that have lasted longer than this which is just sad. In my opinion not worth the money.
Best in the Industry

Pro- heats up quickly. It's nano plate technology makes it the best flat iron in the industry- helps to seal the hair cuticles to protect hair color (especially if died/treated).
Con- I wish I bought both the 1'' and 2'' plates.
Overall Review- For course hair, I highly recommend this product. It straightens your hair with ion AND nano technology, which makes it less damaging to the hair.
I do not find the item worth the cost..

My hair is just below the my shoulders it is coarse, thick and wavey.
I do like how quickly the iron heats up.
Although it does take longer for me to strighten my hair then the $ 45 iron I picked up on Sale 2 years ago.
This iron only 1" wide the less expensive brand was 3" and felt sturder in my hand.
Thank you for asking for my input...

This is a good flat iron. Better than generic store brands, but overall not really worth the high price tag!

I was expecting to have straight silk hair but instead I got puffy course hair. This strengthener does not work it leaves your hair feeling course and tangled. I went to my hair dresser so she could rate this iron, so we sectioned my hair into three sections and straightened it with three different irons. We used my HAI eLite Digistick Ceramic Iron, her HAI Convertable Ceramic Flat Iron, and my sister’s Remington T Studio Tourmaline-Ceramic Wide Plate Straightener. The HAI eLite Digistick Ceramic Iron did the poorest even my sisters $30 Remington left my hair straighter and silkier. The HAI Convertable Ceramic Flat Iron did the best it straightened my hair faster and left it silky. Do not buy this iron it is a waist of money.
Just ok

I've been using the chi flat iron for years and was very satisfied. Wanted to try something new. The HAI looks great, I liked the vibrant colors. It felt really light which is good, but at the same time it felt like something cheap. Also, it did not reach very high temperature so it didn't work as expected. I returned it and exchanged it for the chi.
Excellent product

I've wanted one of these for a long time because my hairstylist uses one on me and it always makes my hair so shiny and smooth and straight, which is always a good change from my natural wavy, frizzy, coarse hair. I've been using a 1" Solia for the past year with good results but finally I just upgraded to the Hai Digistick and it's like a dream come true. It definitely straightens as well as the Solia, but it doesn't seem to need as many passes to do it (I can get as much accomplished with 1 pass with the Digistik that I did with 2-3 passes with the Solia). Both straighteners made my hair shiny and silky, but the digistik made it even more so. The digitstik is about double the price of the Solia, but it does do a slightly better job.
