I want to buy this straightener because my friend bought one similar to this one and i LOVE how it curled my hair! i love big, thick curls and i was just wondering if this one provided the same results? Question posted by Gwen Wed Dec 26 2007 Submit your answer DIFFERENCE?
I used to have the one with the blue plates which costs about 80$. Now I am debating which one to get. This one or the blue one. What's the difference? Pros and cons? Question posted by menzer Tue Feb 06 2007 Submit your answer | Reply by Yay

I am too. I just don't know which one to get. I accidentally stepped on my ifrared one and it broke. But I loved it. Now I don't know which one to get. I don't used it often to prevent damage to my hair. But I think I just might get the infrared one because it protects colored hair. | | Reply by Joely

My last iron was also about $80 and I loved it! I am a hairstylist so I use the hell out of my iron. That iron lasted me 4yrs so when I bought a new one it was this Elite. I LOVE it and it makes my job much easier...but it is only 7 months later and it is not working, not sure why. They are going to replace it for me as it has a one yr warranty. But honestly everyone loves this iron and many of my clients have splurged and purchased one after we use it on them. Highly recommend! | | Reply by RFD

I thought this was pretty self explanatory. The blue one I'm assuming is the Convertable, part of Classic or Pro line. This however is part of the ELITE line. It has completely different technology is built to higher standards. hai-elite outlines most of the differences, like ORMs, 6 layers of ceramic, and faster heating. | wet hair??

Okay so I haven't tried this straightener yet.......I am thinking about buying it. I am white and i have very very thick frizzy hair and I was also looking in chi straighteners. I keep looking and looking but I dont know which one is right for me i heard chi straighteners break and some dry out your hair. I want a straightener that makes my hair smooth, straight, and silky. Please help me in either telling me about another straightener thats best for me or if this is the right one for me..........??? sorry i posted it in review i did it in the wrong place but please help! don't get the chi had it for 2 years it smoothed out the hair but it dryed it out over time- i now have the digistick and like it but only had it for a month- i have been on a quest to find the worlds best flat iron and if the digistick doesnt work then i want to try the new ghd with temp dial($200 somthing)or sedu- there is also a new fhi "runway" flatiron that is $400-but dont think i will spend over $250 for a flat iron- if anyone knows about these flat irons let me know | | Reply by Valencia

Hey no prob. My best friend Noel used this flat iron on my coarse and very curly hair in all of twenty minutes it was silky and straight. Go for it because my hair felt silkier not dry like it does when my hair dresser uses the CHI iron. Yes they do break and dry out your hair with improper useage. | Is this recommended for African-American Hair
There are not a lot of reviews available. I was wondering if anyone knows if this is effective in straightening African-American Hair compared to the Sedu. Currently I have a Bion Flat Iron. It does a good job, but I'm looking for a change. Thanks Question posted by c k Tue Aug 08 2006 Submit your answer | Reply by Hair Fiend

its ideal for African American hair types.I am an African American woman from the moment my hair stylist used it on I my hair I fell in love.I must admit I was a little skeptical at first but I must say its well worth the investment and you will be completely satisfied with it. I have very course, un-relaxed hair and it did wonders for me. | why is this digistick way expensive than the rest

It has digital temperature control? That's all that jumps out at me as something to justify the price. | | Reply by RFD
