Product Rating: 4 Great for Roots...
Reviewer: Nicole from New Jersey  Mon Jan 23 2006

I have super curly hair from root to tip. I have always used a 2 1/4 inch Solano Sapphire iron to straighten my hair but I have never been able to get the roots straight because the Solano is too big and cumbersome. The HAI Twig is the perfect size to straighten my tightly curled roots and it works really well. There is only one caveat - this iron gets really hot, really fast. I have carelessly burned myself several times. But, as long as you are careful, it works great.

I have had this flat iron for a couple of weeks now, and I do not have any complaints. It heats up pretty quickly and does not seem to be damaging my hair. I do not use it every day (perhaps 2x's week) , but whenever I do I am pleased with the results.

Product Rating: 5 Twig is Great for Short Hair
Reviewer: Ally from San Antonio  Tue Oct 04 2005

My stylist used it on my hair and it was great. I had to have one for myself. I don't use curling irons anymore-just my twig. It makes my hair feel so light. I love it.
It works better then anything I have tried. Money well spent.

This is a great, small flat iron that quickly heats and works effectively. Only one small problem -- it broke in two after 1 1/2 years and I only used it 2-3 times a week during that time. I'll try another brand this time.

I had my hai flat iron for almost exactly a year. Just like the last review, it was great for the time...but it broke where the cord connects and so there was $85 spent only to be spent exactly a year later on another that will hopefully last longer.

ive used 3 different hai flat irons, starting with the older red plated convertible to the blue plated one and now to this. it is excellent for my really short hair but i made sure to save the recepit because every hai flat iron i have purchased has shorted out where the cord connects to the unit. its been almost 3 months since ive purchased mine and today it began to not work unless i turned the cord a certain way. BE CAREFUL!

Product Rating: 5 a must have

I have short hair so the twig really zeros in on the areas I need to iron. I have a Sedu 1" which I just love but the twig gives me more control over my short summer hair. I love it and recommend it for anyone with short, coarse wavy or curly hair.

You can't beat the service you get from Folica either. You guys rock!

Product Rating: 5 Highly recommend for African American Hair
Reviewer: M. Marion   Tue May 24 2005

I recently purchase a Hi Twig iron and was extremely impress. I presently wear my hair very short and spikey. I have thick and coarse hiar and my hair was straight eventhough it's time for a touch up. I was skeptical on buying an iron on line but, I decide to take a chance and Iam very pleased. I highly highly recommend this iron.

Product Rating: 5 LOVE THIS IRON!
Reviewer: Kim P from Newark, NJ  Thu May 12 2005

I love my short hair, but bi-weekly visits to my high end salon are inconvenient and costly. On my last visit, my stylist was using the Twig and I immediately sought to find one on line. It was more that $25 cheaper than my local professional beauty supply and free shipping. As I am used to doing my hair at home between visits - I found this easy to use and achieved professional quality results even near touch-up time. If you can manage your hair between salon visits, this is a great tool to have.

I love this Flat Iron. I've had a short tapered cut for almos 3 years now and this is the only type of product that will allow me to bend the shotest parts of my hair without burning myself. It has various temperature setting and gets really hot to straighten even the most stuborn hair.

I Owned the 1 and 1/4 inch HAI Iron before I bought this one. That in addition to the fact that this is the iron my stylist uses on my hair was the selling point. It doesn't pull your hair out or burn it if you are using the right temperature. I have recieved compliments on how healthy my hair looks! And I don't have that much! :o)

Product Rating: 3 Nice size, but!
Reviewer: Karen   Mon Mar 28 2005

I really like the narrow size of the Twig - it makes it easy to straighten all the way to the root. But! the OUTSIDE of the iron gets very hot (not the handle, but the area above the plates) so it is possible to burn your scalp while using it if you are not VERY careful.

As I've never used a flat iron before, I think I need to practice on my hair before I make a final decision as to the quality of the Hai twig. Thus far, it's nothing special. My hair is fine and short and this flat iron tends to make it more limp and rather unmanageable. But, I'm not sure if it's the flat iron, or my inexperience using the tool. I guess time will tell!

My stylist has used this flat iron on me for almost a year and half and I just had to have one for myself. Great for short hair. No complaints thus far.

I am very pleased with my HAI Twig Ceramic Flat Iron. As a professional Hair Designer, I am constantly using my Twig with quality results every time. And to have purchased my Twig for this inexpensive price with free shipping was icing on the cake!

Product Rating: 5 gotta have it
Reviewer: Dan from California  Wed Jan 05 2005

What more could you want in a flat iron? Good quality Ceramic plates that are solid not coated, and very small to get into the root with the utmost control. I use it for a fun style change on my male clients and they love it. Takes more time on longer hair so I have a bigger one, but for short hair nothing else compares.

Product Rating: 1 This is a twig
Reviewer: Sasha from New Jersey  Mon Sep 13 2004

I think I could have used a twig and got a better result. This made my hair dry and unruley.
