After purchasing this product not only did it break after get ting 3 uses out of it, but when they sent it back after fixing it, it broke again after getting 4 uses of the product. I am very disappointed, especially sicne I took such good care of it, never letting it drop and not letting anyone touch it. when I heard such great things about ALL HAI products. Guess they arent as great as I thought
I dont know what i ever did without it.

Well I do know. I have extremely thick curly coarse hair, Im sicilian and my moms hair is like steel wool. Anyhow I used to have to use relaxers and chemical straighteners made for black folks hair. But the results were... straight hair but really fly away and frizzed and broken. I went to a salon and they suggested a flat iron treatment. naturally I was skeptical. They used this thing and my hair looked like it lost 50 pounds. it was STRAIGHT and soft and shiny and silky. The same day I went right home and ordered one for myself and Ive LOVED it ever since. Anyone who has complaints about this either somehow got a bad unit or didnt use it properly. I can't see how anyone could help but LOVE this thing. :D:D

I am pretty happy with my HAI Stik. My hair stays silky smooth for days after straightening it once and following up with some spot touch ups. I would like the HAI Stik to be a bit broader so that I can get through my long hair faster. But, the narrow design does get closer to the root than wider tools.

I had got a perm in my hair and it was growing out and still was fuzzy. This iron helped a bunch to get it straight in just one swipe. This is a great iron when you want straight hair in minutes.

This Iron is amazing, I read all of the customer reviews, and everyone who complained about it, sounds like they don't know how to do their hair or take care of it. With any product, you need to know how to manage hair, not just stick an iron in it and expect it to do your hair for you. I am also African American with natural hair, this is a perfect dream iron. Trust me ladies, it is WORTH IT!!!

I am of multicultural ethnicity and have extremely curly, thick, natural hair. I purchased the HAI stick one year ago and it has not changed one bit. As with most flat irons, they tend to give out, especially if they are used so often at the highest heating range, but the each time I straighten my hair, I get compliments as if I just came home from the salon. It is amazing and has saved me thousands of dollars from going to my weekly appointments at the salon. I now only go to get a trim. It is worth every penny and more, especially since it is now on sale.

I've tried quite a few Flat Irons and this one is by far my favorite!! I have long thick hair, and it straightens it fast and makes it really smooth and shiney, just make sure you use a silicone based product to protect your hair. Definetly worth the money!

I've been really happy with it. I was using a traditional straight iron which was causing me to get split ends. I do not have this problem with the HAI Stik. My hair is now healthy and shiny. It's also lightweight and easy to travel with.

Weeeeeeeell...I gave this flat iron away. It just didn't do anything to my hair. I am African-American and I was looking for a flat iron that could get hot enough and make my hair silky and shiny straight. This did none of the above except for the heat. But what's the point of it getting so hot if it still doesn't straighten my hair properly? This might work for some, but for me, it was a definite thumbs down.

This straightener burned my hair because the rubber got too hot and melted which made the ceramic plates fall out. Very poor design. Not recommended!

This is an excellent iron. I've been using mine for almost 2 years now and my hair is in perfect health. If you use it properly and also use a heat protectant, your hair won't get damaged.

For all those who are in a lifetime war with their curls this IS your solution! I tried everything but this iron did it for me.
Money well spent and compared to other irons whose coating is just a spary this is real THICK solid ceramic! I do not have enough words to express my relief in finding a product that is worth every penny!

This flat iron is amazing! Not only does it straighten your hair, but you can use it to flip the ends out or curl them in! It is the best hair straightener I have ever had.
