I was a bit apprehensive when it came to the thought of ordering something from the internet, but I'm really glad I bought this flat iron. It works really well and has cut down the time it takes to straighten my hair. I had my hair chemical straightened through japenese methods, and now that my hair is growing out, I was having trouble finding an iron that could straighten my hair with the same consistency as the rest of my smooth hair. THis iron accomplishes this feat qutie well:)

me i am 15 years old and i have coarse and really dry hair i was wondering if the ceramic flat iron works on African American hair. Because i have one of those flat iron with the gold plates and it makes my hair frizzy and so i don't have to use it anymore. I am hoping this hair product reduce the frizness. And it's because of the humidity i just want to have really oily hair. How can i solve this problem
Dual voltage

My daughter who made the purchase thought she was buying dual voltage HAI Stik straighteners which she had seen advertised, so she could use them here in the UK and North America when visiting next year. The ones that arrived in the UK were not dual voltage but she only found this out after plugging them in - her first purchase online did not last long! Please make sure the adverts and purchasing pages clearly show the voltage of each set of irons.

addicted to this flat iron! have extrememly curly hair and this works wonders. my biggest mistake was not being aware of using proper voltage. i took my first hai to germany, used a coverter and the plats melted inside the grip. i ordered a new on and the warranty states that proper wattage is needed. all in all, great in the states!

I like the product it is better than the irons I used before and it takes 10 minutes to straighten your hair.

I've had this for almost 5 years now- it's great! I have really big, curly hair and this product has managed to keep it straight in the most humid of days. It still manages to heat up in seconds, and tame my locks! My hairdresser recommended it to me, and now I'm recommending it to you.

This iron works extremely well. I encourage those who are looking for an iron to buy this one not the ones that have wider ceramic panels. The thin, small width of this iron makes it easy to style hair and get hard to reach spots. My hair is extremely coarse, curly, and resistant and no other iron has straigtened my hair except this one.

After purchasing this product not only did it break after get ting 3 uses out of it, but when they sent it back after fixing it, it broke again after getting 4 uses of the product. I am very disappointed, especially sicne I took such good care of it, never letting it drop and not letting anyone touch it. when I heard such great things about ALL HAI products. Guess they arent as great as I thought
I dont know what i ever did without it.

Well I do know. I have extremely thick curly coarse hair, Im sicilian and my moms hair is like steel wool. Anyhow I used to have to use relaxers and chemical straighteners made for black folks hair. But the results were... straight hair but really fly away and frizzed and broken. I went to a salon and they suggested a flat iron treatment. naturally I was skeptical. They used this thing and my hair looked like it lost 50 pounds. it was STRAIGHT and soft and shiny and silky. The same day I went right home and ordered one for myself and Ive LOVED it ever since. Anyone who has complaints about this either somehow got a bad unit or didnt use it properly. I can't see how anyone could help but LOVE this thing. :D:D

I am pretty happy with my HAI Stik. My hair stays silky smooth for days after straightening it once and following up with some spot touch ups. I would like the HAI Stik to be a bit broader so that I can get through my long hair faster. But, the narrow design does get closer to the root than wider tools.

I had got a perm in my hair and it was growing out and still was fuzzy. This iron helped a bunch to get it straight in just one swipe. This is a great iron when you want straight hair in minutes.

This Iron is amazing, I read all of the customer reviews, and everyone who complained about it, sounds like they don't know how to do their hair or take care of it. With any product, you need to know how to manage hair, not just stick an iron in it and expect it to do your hair for you. I am also African American with natural hair, this is a perfect dream iron. Trust me ladies, it is WORTH IT!!!

I am of multicultural ethnicity and have extremely curly, thick, natural hair. I purchased the HAI stick one year ago and it has not changed one bit. As with most flat irons, they tend to give out, especially if they are used so often at the highest heating range, but the each time I straighten my hair, I get compliments as if I just came home from the salon. It is amazing and has saved me thousands of dollars from going to my weekly appointments at the salon. I now only go to get a trim. It is worth every penny and more, especially since it is now on sale.

I've tried quite a few Flat Irons and this one is by far my favorite!! I have long thick hair, and it straightens it fast and makes it really smooth and shiney, just make sure you use a silicone based product to protect your hair. Definetly worth the money!
