I have enjoyed my straightener thus far. It is effective on my curly hair and reaches a very high temperature in a very short amount of time.

I have only had my Hai flat iron for a few weeks and I must say I am very pleased with this flat iron. I have purchase several flat irons and this one tops them all, especially the store brought ones from the regular beauty stores. I recommend that you do have to spend a few extra dollars to get the best. I plan on holding on to this flat iron and hopefully it will be with me for along time. It really gets my hair straight and I that was my reason for buying this flat iron and getting the results that pleased me fully.
I like it

Is a relly good flat iron it takes less time to straight your hair than others, but you have to use something for the frizz, otherwise you have a lot of frizz.
It actually works!

The Hai Stik Ceramic Hair Straightener actually works on any kind of hair. It leaves any hair looking silky and healthy. It turned my hair from frizzy and curly to sleek and straight.

its good, but it doesnt give my hair that straightness that i wanted. especially when my hair is super dry. it made my hair look less dead, but what can u expect for a 75 dollar straightner. if works well with products. but if u have dry hair like i do. dont use it! or just dont blow dry it and use it after. maybe its just the southern california weather lately, plus i had a perm done couple months back.
From frizzy to smooth in 10 minutes!

This flat iron is the best I've ever owned. I had several irons previously that weren't ceramic and they never really worked on my frizzy, coarse, thick hair. But the HAI Stik ceramic iron very impressively smoothes and de-frizzes my hair. It gets alot hotter than non-ceramic irons which is really important for straightening hair like mine. Even though this iron is recommended for shorter hair, it works great on my medium-long hair.
It works fine but is Not a true ceramic plate

I t works fine and did straight my hair really well. However, I was looking for a an iron that straight and protects my hair and this specific model is only "ceramic coated plates". I returned this item and got the SEDU which in my opinion is the best!
I use it everyday

This is my first flat iron I have ever had and I love it. My friend recommended this one because she had used her friends before and she said it was the best she had tried for the price. I can't compare it to others because I have never tried them but I think this one is great. I think it is easy to use and I now use it every day. My hair is damaged from using this but I think that is expected if you do not use a preventive product on your hair prior to using the flat iron.

When I bought this iron a year and a half ago I thought it was the best thing that ever happened to my wavy, frizzy hair. I could let my hair dry on its own, and then use the iron on it and it transformed sleek, smooth and shiny. However, gradual use of the iron weakened my hair and it began breaking alot at the ends. It gets super hot instantly and I burned myself many times, I even accdently sat on it once while it was on, and I now have permanent scars on my ass from it, my fault though. I dropped it a couple times and it was fine, until the top plate came loose. It still works but not as good. I think Iam going to go with the Sedu next.
Worth the money

more expensive than the ones in the drug store but worth it. Doesn't pull hair and makes it straight and frizzless quickly.

I LOVED this straightener for the two years I owned it - took perfect care of it, never dropped it, never left it turned on too long.... today as I was waiting for it to heat up I smelled a faint burning... didn't think much of it until I put the straightener to my hair - lo and behold, one of the plates, as if in slow motion, slid off the plastic arm and dangled by a wire. I thought it must have slipped out, but no - the iron had MELTED the plastic that holds the plates in place and before I had a chance to turn it off the second plate also slid out, my bathroom smelled foul - burned plastic and hair, and the thing kept melting as I was holding it waiting for it to cool. I was all around horrified. the thing is, while it worked it was amazing - the best thing that ever happened to my hair... now i have to deicide whether to buy another or try this one again.

I have owned many flat irons before this. But this one is the best yet. I actually had to purchase a second one, because I accidentally stepped on my first one and I snapped one of the arms off! :~( It was totally my fault. My hair is already straight to begin with, but the Hai Flat Iron gets my hair FLAT when I want it to be flat. It looks just like Jen Anistons hair when she was on friends. It heats up in seconds, and gets my hair stick straight with just one pass. I get ready in 1/2 the time, thanks to this little baby!!!

This is the second flat iron I purchased since I was so impressed with the first one which I purchased approx. 2 years ago. Unfortunately, they have changed the design from my original purchase and I have been unable to detect a light indicating the iron is on. I returned the purchase thinking there was a possible defect and received the same identical unit back. Needless to say, I am very unhappy with my purchase.

I'm 13 and I live in Boston MA. I just got these straighteners a few weeks ago and they are amazing! I have very curly frizzy hair and it use to take me over 2 hours to straighten my hair. With these starighteners it takes 30 minues or less! They are amazing! If you straighten your hair and then you go outside and its humid your hair will still stay dead straight! My hair comes out shiny and gorgeous every time I do it! I really think if you need new straighteners you should get these they are defenetly worth the money!
I Highly Recommend It

I purchased the HAI stik pressing iron almost 3 years ago during the time while my hair was in its natural state. I learned about it in San Antonio, TX, a student at the beauty school used this exact iron to press my hair. It staightened so well it felt like she had put a relaxer on my hair. I tried the conventional pressing comb, but it did not straighten my hair like this iron. Trust me my hair is coarse and thick, I definitely understand why my mom put a relaxer in my hair at the tender age of 3. Now that my hair is relaxed again I still use it and it still works like a charm. It has not burned my hair, my hair is healthy, and since I use it between touch-ups it straightens and smoothes all the way to the root. I always get comments on my hair, even from my hairdresser. I love it.....I highly recommend it to those of you who have very thick and coarse hair like mine...........

im sooo annoyed with this straightner...i took such good care of it...never dropped it or anything...the stupid thing just stopped working while i was using it. i tried the reset button but that didnt work...so i got a new one under warranty...that thing worked really good...it did the same thing 3 months later and these losers told me i cant get a new one cuz the warranty is up...sumthing about thier policy...i think thats crap. other than the fact that it breaks so easily...eveyone i know wiht different hair types...i mean like coarse thick hair, short normal hair wahtever it be...has loved the straightner. if u have super thick hard 2 straighten hair try using that straight and sexy spray stuff...the red bottle...thennnn straightn it...works like a charm:)

this is the second straightner i've been through in a year (this same exact model). i really like the straightner and think it does a pretty good job. But unfortunately the first one the i bought, the cord did not work unless i bent it and clipped it to the handle. Now that i got my second one i found that it has to be above a specific heat in order for it to turn on. Both of these are electrical problems and are not covered in the warranty. Overall, i think the straightner is a good investment at a very reasonable price.
Not So Great

The HAI Stik Cermaic Pressing Flat Iron did not work so great. Yes, it gets your hair straight, but at the same time it dries out your hair and makes it frizzy. It does not seem to add any shine or luster. I have the $85 HAI Convertable Ceramic Flat Iron, and it works great. I bought it a long time ago and it is still going strong. It makes my hair shiny, smooth, and sraight. In short, get the $85 HAI Ceramic Convertable Ceramic Flat Iron, not the $75 HAI Stik Ceramic Pressing Flat Iron.
