This is my second Hai stick.. the first one's plug seemed to short out, so I bought a second. I see the changed the
plug, and I hope it doesnt happen again.. but everyone derserves a second chance.
I like the Hai stick because it gets hot fast and works great.

My first iron was a Vidal Sassoon gold plate piece of crap. I always had trouble straightening it quickly, it smelled like it was burning when I would walk into my room after letting it heat up for less than a minute, and the gold plates always burned me when I tried to clamp the end together so I could press my hair straight. I am half Irish, and half Asian, so my hair is medium thickness. Finally I decided to go on ebay and buy a straightener, and I looked at the CHI and the HAI and thought it was basically the same thing but the HAI was cheaper. When I got it, I straightened my hair right away. It was extremely soft, straight, wonderfully beautiful! I brought it to school every now and then and my friend would joke about it being an "imitation CHI". WHATEVER! This thing is SO much better than the CHI. I used my friend's chi. There is no temperature dial, it does pretty much the same job as the HAI, and the CHI just looks dirty for some reason when compared to the HAI. My iron recently broke, but it worked wonders for the whole time I had it. I do have one word of advice, DO NOT wrap the cord around the iron. I did it all the time and one time, I was using it and it jst started sparking and smoking ... It was freaky! My Dad spliced the wires and fixed it. It still gave me another 4 months of perfectly straight hair and sexy bangs. I always tossed it on the ground after I used it, I don't know if that caused it to break (I had the iron for over a year). This is a very durable iron, it has a nice design, it doesn't cramp my hands, it straightens great, if you take good care of it it will not break, and I give it a perfect 5 with all the hell I put it through. LOL.
It Changed My Hair like MAGIC

I had never used a straightener before, and a friend of mine said she would do it for me. So, she straightened my hair and it looked incredible. It was soft, and smooth. I looked like a model. That night we had a fire drill. Everyone ran out of our dorm into the dining hall. I have never gotten so many compliments in my life. My hair is typically curly and frizzy. Nothing would tame it! I love the HAI straightening iron, infact when we got back to the dorm that night, I order one for myself. It's definity worth it! This tool is amazing! It worked like magic. It was so easy to use and it took no time at all.

I love this flat iron its really good, my daughter has long curly hair, but she doesnt liked it combed, what 5 year old does, anyway i tried blowing drying....looked like a giant afro....so i didnt want to chemically straightned it she is too young, then i heard some ladies on a hair message board saying flat iron is the way to go...so i read the review on the HAI and FHI....i went with the HAI...and i am pleased with it, i dont have to use it everyday either, it works great on my hair texture too which is african-american, so I highly recommend it

I was skeptical to get a flat iron at all, but I think it has definitely been worth it. I'm able to do things with it that I can't do with a curling iron or roll brush. I've gotten more compliments on my hair which is fun too! It's easy to use, and helps me do my hair fast, which I like. As far as this particular model, I've been very happy with it, but I don't have much to compare it to since I've never had a flat iron before. All I know is that it works great for me! Just in case you're wondering; I have thick, medium-to-fiine, straight hair . . . but I have it thinned like crazy by my hair stylist. I don't think it would work for my style if I didn't get my hair thinned.

I've been using straightening irons purchased at places like Sally's or department stores for many years. A few weeks ago, a stylist recommended the HAI flat iron; she said it was the best of the lot Now I wish I had discovered it years ago. It really is great, easy to use and gives me a great look. It has also speeded up the process of my getting ready in the morning!

I won't buy another brand of flat iron. I have two HAI irons the twig and stick. They are the best.
HAI rocks!

I'm in love with this with flat iron. I'm black with natural hair, meaning no relaxer what so ever. I can't believed I wasted years of getting my hair straightened with a hot comb. I can save time and money at the salon by straighting my own hair at home.

It works really great and fast, but there's not much information on the booklet how to use or taking care of the product.

I could not be happier with the ceramic iron from HAI.
So easy to use and finally salon quality styling at home and in minutes. Forget those expensive blow outs! My hair never looked better.

My hair is wavy, but when i straighten it, i blow dry first and it just turns into a big straight frizz ball. It only takes me about 10 minutes to straigten it out and I have pretty thick hair, so this little thing is powerful!! It heats up very quickly too. I highly recommend it.

Everyone needs to buy this straightener if you battle constantly with frizzy and/or wavy hair. I have tried many products and many other straighteners, but none have had such AWESOME results as this one! My hair is finally how I dreamed for it to be. No more frizzies! No more waves! And it takes barely any time at all! I have no regrets buying this product. Well worth the cost.
LOVE IT!!!

I love this iron. I have very thick, coarse, naturally curly hair that just grows in humidity, when dried with hairdryers and when it rains, good grief, I usually have to put it up in a hat. I have tried everything from giving in and going curly to a clothing iron! The HAI Stik is so easy to use and I have been using it for 2 months and it works just as it did the day I bought it. I now dont have to wash my hair everyday and with a 2 year old that takes up a lot of time. I can use my HAI for quick touch-ups and go! You should buy one! It has been the best ceramic iron I have used.

My hair is slightly wavy and manageable in regular weather, and normally I like it to have a bit of bounce and texture. I use irons when I need taming in humid weather, of if I haven't had time to dry my hair properly, or if I want something different for going out.
I have been using conventional irons for the past 10 years to accomplish this - taking usually about 30 minutes to straighten my hair (with high electricity costs if one forgets to turn it off!!!!). My niece recommended ceramic irons and I purchased these based on detective work and scrutiny of other reviews etc. I am not disappointed. I ordered through Amazon and the irons were delivered quickly and efficiently (with great communication through Folica).
They are the best. What used to take me approximately 30 minutes with conventional irons, now takes me 5 minutes tops with these irons. I love the fact that one can regulate the temperature of the plates, since my hair is weaker at the front. The plates are small enough to do delicate areas, yet can cope admirably with large sections of hair.
The bottom line: Technology has evolved and it's time to update your irons. Ceramic irons are unbelievable in this day and age when we are all so busy and need to do things quickly and efficiently.
