My stylist recommended this product for my new asymmetric bob. Styling as never been so easy than with this flat iron! This in one hand and a comb in the other gives me a flawless finish on my Victoria Beckham short style.

I was debating between the Chi, the Sedu, and the this one. This is my first time using a flat iron and I am excited that the HAI STIX is working really well so far. It straightens my hair really quickly. Alot of the reviews I've read stated that it leaves hair really shiny and smooth but my ends still look dry. It may be because of the hair cut I just received. I like that is does NOT pull my hair. I am very satisfied with the product and Folica was just wonderful to order from. I ordered my iron on Saturday (Labor Day Weekend) and got it on Wednesday. I am a dedicated Hai customer. The very first professional flat iron that I purchased was a Hai and when it outlived its hair straightening after 4 years, I bought this Hai flat iron, which is the newer version of my former Hai. It feels lighter and easier to handle than my old one and it still makes my hair manageable. It straightens, curls, and minimizes frizz. My hair is in between curly and wavy and this product makes me look like I just walked out of a salon. I highly recommend this!!!
Folica.com also shipped it in a timely fashion and gave me a free heat-proof case. I will return to this website for future hair styling products and tools.

I had the HAI straightening iron with the blue ceramic plates for years and loved it. When it started to go out, I replaced it with the Stik.
I have only one complaint, but it's MAJOR - the iron was constantly snagging my hair, especially in the front. For weeks I had big chunks in the front that had been broken to an inch that stuck straight up!
I've switched back to my other HAI, even though it only works about half the time. I've had no snagging and I've realized just how badly the Stik damaged my hair.
I love HAI tools and have no intention of switching to another brand, but maybe this model isn't put together well enough????
This is an awesome flat iron!

I thoroughly enjoy using this flat iron. It is light weight, heats up fast and straightens my hair perfectly. It leaves my hair shiny and silky feeling. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to straighten their naturally curly (or frizzy) hair like mine is.
HAI is similiar to the rest!

I have very coarse, dry, African American hair. The HAI does a good job at straightening, when you have a fairly fresh relaxer/perm. Once you have new growth or frizzies at the ends, the HAI does a mediocre job. I don't seem to get much shine or softness either.

I have to say that the iron is okay, but I'm not overly ecstatic. I actually have a Conair that I paid $20 and honestly, it works just as well. I kept this as a back-up, but it's not like what I had hoped for. My hair is long and wavy, but not curly by any means, and I still can't seem to get it super straight like my hairdresser does, even with the Sedu styling product.

I'm in heaven with my HAI 1" Stik! I have very tight waves in my hair and some curl and frizz. The waves look a little like the way movie stars used to style their hair in the early 1900s. I think they called it finger waves. That might be great for gorgeous stars of that era but it looks horrible on me. For more than 35 years I've been smoothing out the waves, curls and frizz with huge round metal brushes and blow dryers. I've tried every conceivable gel, liquid, and electronic straightener. Nothing ever guaranteed that the hair that was straight when I left the house, would stay that way. If I got anywhere near the ocean, my hair would change dramatically. I hated them, but I wore hats. If I didn't have a strong fan in my bathroom, I couldn't smooth my hair until the dampness was gone. I ended up drying my hair in another room. If I wore a hat for more than a few minutes, I'd have a ridiculous crease when I took it off. So, once I put a hat on in public, it stayed there till I got home. No matter what my hair looked like when I went to bed, I'd wake up with hair shooting in many directions. I've been to parties on patios in the evening where friends would look at me and ask, "What happened to your hair?" That's because when I arrived it was smooth, but the dampness in the night air changed it. I never dreamed there would ever be a product that would solve all these issues! This hair straightener does. I've done many experiments and with this fabulous stik, and my hair remains straight until I shampoo it again no matter what! Wish I had this thing years ago. It would have saved me lots of angst and hours upon hours of fussing. Today I was with my visiting sister (who has hair like mine). We went to the beach and it was humid. In just a few minutes, her hair was freaking out and mine looked great! She said, "How come your hair is straight????" That's when I had the best moment. I got to share my Hai secret with my sister! I researched many flat irons and it was here that I found the best consumer comments that helped me choose the best one. I thank you and highly recommend this product. I have basically straight hair but it does have a natural curl in it especially in humid conditions and this iron does the trick on straightening. It heats quickly and straightens with out damage. It's easy to use and doesn't pull my hair. The heat pad/case that it cam with was nice too.

It heats up super quick and my hair looks really great and it gets straight and shiny. It is so light and easy to use. I brought this because it was a little less expensive as the CHI (which is what my hair stylists uses) but I use it with the T3 brushes and the CHI therma products all with the Tourmaline and all I can say is AWESOME!!!!!! I love my hair and Ive been getting complements since I have been doing my hair with my HAI iron. Oh yeah and when I ordered it from folica, it came the very next day! It cant get any better than that!

It's smaller so I can work on the shorter hair easily. It takes up less room in my suitcase too! Quality, well-made product at a very good price at Folica.com.

This is the first one I ever purchased. I love it. I have wavey thick, medium coarse hair. It is easy to use. The HAI Stik makes it so soft, smooth and silky just like when I have it professionally done. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair every time I use it. I am never going to use anything else again.

I absoultely loved my HAI Stik...until it suddenly stopped working after 2 months of sporadic use. As others noted in reviews, the red light went off while using it. I was hoping this meant that my light just was not going to work and the iron would still work. Not so. I only used the iron 2-3 times per week and never dropped it or twisted the cord. I hope I will be able to convince HAI to either fix or replace, since it is past my 30 day warranty through Folica! My advice: Love the iron, just save your reciept and be sure to register your iron with HAI for the warranty.

I am happy to say that this flat iron really does everything it claims! I have thick not-curly-not-straight hair that fails to respond to almost all flat irons. I have actually been through 3 others in the past month - none of which were hot enough to straighten my hair on first pass, or even second and third. The iron heats up quickly, stays hot longer than most, and straightens without giving my hair that "straw-like" look. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it highly!

better than the others, go for the hai. i've tried chi (doesnt last) sedu (doesn't work) and solia (poorly made). i've been using my hai stik for over 2 years and it's the best iron EVER.

I bought this particular HAI Stick a little over 2 years ago. I absolutly love how it works, but it does easily dry my hair out. Any flat iron will do that to you hair however since it uses so much heat. I love the ability to change the temperature and it heats up in only a matter of seconds. However, recently, as other reviews have noted, the light began to short out, signaling the flat iron turning off. It has only done this occasionally, but I am afraid it will more than like bring my wonderful HAI to an end shortly. Great product, but not for an extended period of time.
