I love love love this iron! it heats up quickly, the temp settings will cover all hair types, it's comfortable to use, and it is very well constructed. the ceramic plates glide over my hair, not snagging or puliing at all. for only $89 you get an iron that works as well as a $200 model -- really.

I've tried them all: store brands, like Conair or Revlon, beauty supply brands such as GVP, Helen of Troy, and Jilbere, some I ordered by mail, such as the Maxiglide, and even home remedies like the good 'ol iron (seriously, don't!). Up until a month and a half ago, I thought the Maxiglide was as good as it got for me. My hair is spiraly-curly, but not particularly frizzy or dry. I've owned my Maxiglide for about three years, no major issues, and was great for straightening my hair when it was long (to my waist). I also got a great upper body workout because it's a bit heavy LOL.
My hair is now at about chin length and my biggest issue was that the maxiglide's plates were too wide to really get "in there" close to the roots. My hairdresser uses this exact model of Hai, so I decided to give it a go. I've used this product for a month before submitting a review and I've come to the conclusion that, in my experience, this is by far THE BEST of the bunch! I'm loving the shine, the lack of fried ends and shedding and the fact that the style actually stays straight for days!
I'm still a little concerned about my iron dying after a while the way it has for other reviewers, but right now, I couldn't ask for more in a hair straightener. Also, the plates are a little narrow if you have longer hair, so it might take longer to straighten it, but I believe Hai makes a straightner with wider plates (maybe a future purchase for me?) Had I known about Hai before, I probably wouldn't have wasted so much money on junk. If you're riding the fence on whether or not to buy, I'd say go for it!

I love mine, My daughter and I both use it almost every day I have had it for over a year, heats up fast, I haven't had any problems. I am thinking about buying another one so we don't have to share.

I bought this flat iron a few months ago, and after about 1 month of use the blue "ceramic plates" started to chip off leaving metal plates underneath. The flat iron still works great but I'm disappointed by false advertising.

I absolutely LOVED my HAI Straighentening Iron! It was God-Sent! That is until I moved to Europe and blew it out because I failed to plug in the right converter. Oh, well R.I.P to my 1st HAI, I am about to purchas my 2nd one as we speak! I promise it is the best investment ever and is worth every penny! The price has even been reduced since my intial purchase a few years ago Thanks Hair Art Institute for this wonderful product!

My former flat iron was a Cricket, it was a ceramic iron - the cord ended up exposing wire at the base and I had to put the black electrical tape on it and then make sure it was in a particular position every time I would use it. I later discovered that wrapping the cord around the iron when i was done using it wasn't good for it.
Anyway the ceramic plate cracked when I dropped it one day and now I have the HAI Convertible. Its amazing! Actually lighter in weight compared to my old iron and it goes up to 400 degrees and my old one only went to 200. I have fine hair and can turn it up to the 350 range and it makes my hair look absolutely amazing. the straight look holds better whereas with the cooler temp my hair was prone to curling quicker.
I love the look of the blue plates and it seems to be pretty gentle on my hair. It's the flat iron that my stylist and all the other stylists use at the salon I go to (Carlton Hair Int'l). I highly recommend it.

I love this product. A friend recommended it to me almost six years ago, and I've been a big fan ever since. When my ceramic iron died a couple of weeks ago, I immediately went to folica.com to purchase a new one.

This Flat iron is the best I have ever used. It was recommended to me by my wonderful Hairdresser whos uses one himself. The value for money is absolutely great. It heats up very quickly and does a fantastic job in a short amount of time. Two Thumbs up for this product.

I used to have a WIGO straightening iron which cost about the same price but was terrible. I have relatively fine hair that I have thermally reconditioned and need a flattening iron to smooth out my hair between treatments when it starts growing out. The HAI stick works wonders, it heats evenly and makes my hair look so smooth and beautiful. I use it almost everyday and haven't been disappointed. For the price, it's a great value.

Before I bought the Hai I owned a hottools brand and would have to buy a new one every year. Also my hair looks better and is less frizzy. It also heats up very fast and works fast.

I have had several "Straightners", however I wish I had known about this years ago, I would have continued to have thick beautiful hair. In the past all the straightners that I have had have pulled out my hair making it extremly thin, however with this HAI iron it glides amoothly through my hair and works great. I would strongly suggest that if you are in the market for a "Terrific Iron" that you will not be dissapointed with the HAI.

seriously this is the best flat iron i have ever owned! I had it for years and it finally broke...then i went through 3 other irons for 6 months after that and hated every single one of them! I eventually stopped straightening my hair because there was no point! then i bought this beauty again and hair prettiness was restored! Great price on this website too!

This straightener is amazing!! I have really wavy, thick hair that wouldn't quite straighten before, but this product really works. I have also tried the Chi brand before, but I think this one is way better!

Every part of my transaction with Folica has exceeded my expectations. The price was the best on the internet, the flat iron arrived on schedule for my daughter's Christmast gift, the follow-up has been perfect. I would definately buy from Folica again. The Hai convertible flat iron is wonderful too. My daughter says it is the best she has used.

I have been in the quest for a great flat iron with no luck until now. This flat iron is fast and easy to use. It gives wonderful results leaving my hair smooth and silky without the damage. I am finally extremely happy with my wonderful flat iron and the great carry case. I just love it!

I love this flat iron. It heats up super quick and runs through my hair like butter leaving it soft and silky instead of burned feeling. I had used my girlfriends before getting my own and once I used hers I went on the hunt for it! Best money I have ever spent. I use nearly everyday and always get the same great beautiful result.

I first bought this iteam at a mall a year ago it is a great product. Unfortunatly my little brother tripped over the cord one day and steped on it and it broke. I really didnt want to pay the $150 I paid at the mall so I decided to look on the iternet and see if I can find it cheaper and to my surprise I did, I absolutely love this product I recommend it to anyone looking for a good flat iron you will not regret this purchase. I love it! oh and did I mention I received my product right away I ordered it on a Friday and by Tuesday it was at my house.

This Hai straightener is a god-send when straightening my hair. I have really curly hair that is hard to tame. The high temperature allows for quick straightening. Plus, my hairdresser tried to sell me one in the salon for $250 plus tax. Buying on the internet was simple, fast delivery, and I even got a bag and a heat mat thing that makes it easy to put into a gym bag while it is still hot without burning anything.
