I am an african-americna with very coarse hair. With this flat iraon I can go 10 weeks between perms and my hair is as smooth as silk. Thank God for this thing!

Wonderful flat iron! Doesnt burn my hair and gives it a wonderful shine! Curls last a long time even after sleeping on them! Im very happy with it.

I've had the iron for about 2 years, and it hasn't failed me once. it heats up SUPER fast, and never burns my hair, or my hands. and my hair is naturally curly and thick, it takes me about 15minutes to get dead flat. love it!

I have extremely difficult hair and tried many, many straighteners....and finally this is the right one! It seals the hair, and completely straightens in a matter of minutes!. I've had three different flat irons in the past few years and this is by far the best one I've tried. I had lil'hottie from hardcore which stopped getting hot, I had the Maxiglide one that pulled out a lit of my hair, and I had the Chi turbo which stopped working. I've had this iron for about two months and I think it's the best!

this straightener I think is the best and perfect size. Just don't drop cause its fragile and my first one broke so I ordered a new one!

I bought this same flat iron 3 years ago and it just recently gave out on me. 3 years is a lot longer than I expected, but no complaints here. I love how quickly it heats up and how straight it leaves my hair. I definitely recommend this product!

I have used this iron Hai, and it was better than the sedu at keeping moisture in and not breaking my hair off (which is fine hair). The sedu was great at first but over time it broke my hair in so many places. The first year I had the HAI and it made my fine hair in better condition than before I used it. However, after the HAI stopped working in about a year and half, (I never dropped it or wound the cord tight either), I tryed the expensive SEDU, which was fabulous at first, but then over a six month period I noticed lots and lots of breakage which I did not see with the HAI convertible. The only problem I have after trying cheap ones and these most expensive brands, is that they all seem to stop working after a year or so, just after the warranty runs out. That is very upsetting after spending over $100 on the SEdu and previously the 80.00 for the HAI. These things should have better warranties and after I took very gentle care of them, should last at least 5 years. My cheap hair dryer I got at a drugstore, conair, has lasted over ten years and is still my favorite dryer. These flat irons have warranties but just remember, the longest I've seen these reported to last is up to three years, and that does not include the Sedu. I guess I would consider paying much more if they had a longer warranty on them, such as the one I just got at the local beauty supply (professional) place in Seattle. It has a warranty of 72 months, which is impressive and that is why I bought it. As for the HAI, convertible, it was a great iron while it lasted. It didn't break my hair as the Sedu did over time as I said. The Hai seemed to lock in moisture, rather than leave the hair with static after ironing it. (and that was after I used really good moisturizer from Joico first).
Hope this helps encourage customers to ask for more warranty on these expensive things.

This was a replacement of the exact same one that I've had for 2 years. Unfortunately I dropped it and the metal plates dislodged and NO glue that I used could sustain the high temperature so I had to throw it away. When I went to the local beauty supply, the exact same one was $119.99! I was very happy to find it on your website for $79.99! Thank you! And free shipping and no tax! YES!

I have thick coarse hair that is exceptionally frizzy in high humidity. I recently purchased a HAI Convertable and put it to the ultimate beach test this week during a trip to the Georgia Coast. It worked great! Heats up fast, is light weight and straightens without frying my hair. I love it!

I've had my Hai iron for over 3 years now. Now it only takes me 20 minutes to do the job. I bought it at the time because it was the highest rated iron, beside some of the negative & bad reviews. I'm very happy with it, and am glad I made the choice I did. I waited a while to write a review to make sure I was absolutely happy with the product. I would totally recommend this iron to anyone. IT'S THE BEST!!!

I am bi-racial. Half black and half white. My hair cannot tolerate chemicals at all. Everything burns my hair really badly. However, I have to have a lot of heat to get my hair straight. I was using the golden hot curling iron to get my hair straight and it worked really well if i wanted to curl my hair under or flip it out. This flat iron is awesome though b/c i can have it straight or flipped. It gets my hair really really sleek (even at the roots!)and i never burn myself like i did with my curling iron. I highly recommend this for anyone who doesnt have "black" hair or "white" hair and cant put chemicals on it. The price is right and the pouch it came with is a nice addition.

I am a professional hair and make up artist, and I first used this item while working with a fellow hair stylist... she asked me to flat iron her hair and pulled out her hai flat iron. Long story short, I was amazed... went home, ordered it on folica.com and have been recomending it to everyone I work with. I haven't had it that long, so I don't know how long it lasts, but judging from the reviews, I haven't seen any complaints. I am 100% happy.

I borrowed my friend's Hai Flat iron and fell in love with it. It's fast, easy and makes my hair super shiney and straight. I've been told by numerous people who have it that it is the best.

I love this straightner. I am sure at the heat it goes to it cant be good for you hair but I am ok with that. I bought this one because my best friend has the same one and I knew it worked so didnt want to chance it on a different one. I would recommend it for sure.
