Ive had it a while now and its workd perfect. I have the thickest most curliest hair and it makes in PIN striaght!! I LOVE IT!!! Theres nothing bad to say about it. It heats up fast, does not pull my hair and make it straight in seconds even if the weather is humid.
Very good !!

I really love this flat iron! it's a cheaper alternative than spending over $100 on the CHI! however, i've never owned a chi (but have had hairdressers use it on me)...it certainly gives the CHI a run for its money! I only used the flat iron once...and since it's summertime I usually wear my hair curly most of the time anyways...but this fall i'm sure ill get much use out of it!
great for hair

I've only had this flat iron for a week or two, but it is great. Reading other reviews, the only negative thing I've heard is that it stops working or breaks pretty early on, and I haven't had it long enough to tell, but so far so good. I have tried cheap wal mart flat irons, I have bought a cheaper ($30-) flat iron from a beauty supply store. But nothing turns my thick, coarse, curly hair stick straight - I always get waves and frizz. I live in Florida, which makes it even worse. I even sat in a salon for hours and had my hair chemically straightened to no avail. In fact, I have been so exasperated with my hair I have been shaving my head for the past few years. Right now I have a mohawk, which is getting rather long, so it is getting harder and harder to maintain. A friend flat ironed my hair with a Ceramic Tools straightener, and it was stick straight (although very fluffy - very 80's) - I decided I needed a more expensive iron. So I went all out and bought a hai convertable (the "new and improved" kind, which this specific one apparently is by the appearance of it). My hair has never been so straight, other than when a flat iron was used on my hair in a salon once. It straightens it so much, it can leave a little kink in your hair where you started, from the hair going from wavy to straight, if you're not careful (which is a good sign). Not only is it straight, it is very silky and smooth for once in my life. The Hai Convertable heats up very fast and has a temperature control dial that goes up to 400 degrees, and a LED light that blinks when the set temperature is achieved. According to their site, the Hai only uses 50 watts of energy. It is light and has a great, easy design; it feels nice to use and it clamps down nicely on hair without puling it.
If you have unruly hair that hasn't responded to previous treatments and products - if the idea of shaving your head has ever crossed your mind out of exasperation - the Hai Convertable is neccessary for straight, smooth hair.
Pics for idea... excuse the haircut. My hair probably doesn't look so bad in the picture because it is short "baby hair", but I am sure that the hai would have worked when I had long hair.

I've used certain irons from CHI to Corioliss, which have been borrowed from friends. I decided it was time to purchase my own since I am a woman of color, and also in college. I can't always afford to get my hair done and don't have transportation in my home away from home. Upon doing research, i decided to purchase a HAI. At first, this iron was so-so, but when i got the hang of it..it worked great and all my friends love to borrow it too. (My friends CHI iron broke when it fell-one of the plates fell out). I recommend this iron to all women of color before any other iron. GREAT PRODUCT! Below I have placed a picture of the turn-out of my hair after using this product. GREAT RESULTS!

My friend had this hair straightener and I used every time I was at her house and it was great, so I finially got one. My first one lasted about 10 months and then it died, I liked it so much though that I got another one. That one died out of no where too about a year later, and for some crazy reason I bought a third. This one just died and it was only 9 months old. I can't tell if how good it really works is work dropping $90 every year. Im searching the website for another one to try.

I purchased this flat iron because it's the one my hair stylist uses, and I wasn't disappointed with the results. It's lightweight and easy to handle, unlike the last one I had which was big and clunky. I have naturally wavy hair which tends to be frizzy, but this iron straightens and smoothes my hair beautifully. My hair salon was selling it for $130, so I was very happy to find it online for much less. I also purchased the heat-proof mat/travel pouch and I HIGHLY recommend getting one - it protects your countertop, and lets you wrap up and store the iron immediately after using it.

This is a great Iron I have very curly frizzy hair and it straightens it nicely. My daughter in her 20's thinks it's the best. Just watch out for the cord. my 1st one I would wind around the iron and ended up shorting the the cord.

I have tried several flat irons including the Sedu 1 1/2". This flat iron by far outdoes all the rest. It heats up quick and stays hot. It smooths the hair as it flattens and makes it look healthy and shiny. It doesn't pull or tug the hair either as the Sedu did after just a couple months. You can't go wrong with the HAI! I bought this for my daughter and she has long, VERY thick, VERY wavy hair.

I hate wavy and curly hair so much and unfortunately that is what I was blessed with. But ever since I bought the HAI seramic flat iron, I have never had so many compliments given to me by how great my hair looks. To my surprise, compared to other flat irons I tried in the past, the HAI seems to leave the least amount of damage to the hair compared to others. I have bought a total of 3 through out the years because I use it so much. The average cost for one is about $80. I bought others for more money and the quality wasnt as good. So the price is very fair and well worth it!
Best flat iron!!

This is the best flat iron I have used. I bought a Chi and that completely fried my hair. The HAI is perfect; all my friends use it now after trying mine. I would highly recommend it to anyone that has wavy or frizzy hair and would like to get the smooth, healthy look. The Chi is great for special occasions but not for every day use, it's way too damaging. Anyway if you buy this flat iron you won't be disappointed!!

I purchased this flat iron, and from your site, for my daughter on the recommendation of my stylist. We have very pleased with the easy use, results on her hair (long, thick, VERY wavy-curly), how long the results last, and health of her hair. The price was lower than similar products and much lower than local stores. I would certainly recommend your site and this product to others.
