This iron works well, grips the hair without catching and heats up very fast. I think it is a fair price for the product.

I owned the previous model HAI ceramic straightener, and like another reviewer, the cord started shorting out and then died after 5 years. That's not bad considering I used it 7 days a week for 5 years!
That's why I ordered another one! It works fantastic on my thick hair - with only one pass my hair is shiny and straight. My hair is thick as a horse's tail and it looks so sleek after using the HAI.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!

i had this straightner for 5 years....5 years..and it finally wore out..but im ganna buy another one because it works really really good...i mean you turn it on and it is already getting warm..for all of you who dont like your curly or wavy hair...this is the straightner for you...and it doesnt even cost alot...so if your thinking of buying one...be sure to buy this hai straightner...!!!

My sister bought a HAI flat iron 2 years ago and I had difficulty finding this product in a store after it broke because we dropped it. So I managed to live without it until I found folica.com. Thank GOD - I couldn't take it anymore using the other brand name flat irons. This flat iron is the only one that makes my hair straight, soft,and managable. I will always buy a HAI flat iron as long as it is for sale. Thank you HAI.

I asolutely LOVE my HAI ceramic hair straightener. It does a great job. I had previously borrowed a CHI (which costs more) from a friend, and I find that the HAI works at least as well on my thick, long, wavy, sort of frizzy hair. It heats quickly and stays hot. I always use the hottest setting because my hair's so thick and unruly. The free pouch/mat is a very nice and useful added bonus.

I have had this flat iron for about 2 years and used it almost everyday. Unfortunately it is kinda dieing. I am very upset about this because it has been my baby. Even though it died, I am buying the same one again. It makes my hair wavy or straight depending on how I turn it. I have not tried other high-end flat irons, but I cannot imagine one being as versatile as this one. And lets face it, the cheap ones don’t even compare. I would recommend this for anyone really, it has been so good to me and I have definitely gotten my money's worth. It is also cheap in relation to the other ones on the site.

I have really dry brittle hair. Is it possible that this thing is making it healthier? My husband, who hardly notices my hair most of the time said it looks and feels like "spun silk". What a compliment. What a straightener!!! I love it and highly recommend it! Thank you Jennifer for recommending it!

I had a cheap flat iron before I purchased this one, only because I couldn't afford a better one. My sister-in-law who is a hair stylist recommended this website and this particular flat iron to me. I bought it that same day and I LOVE IT!

I have thick curly/wavy hair and before this iron I tried every iron out there. This one is the only one that has worked! It leaves my hair frizz-free and shiny and soft. It heats up super quick and does not lose heat either! It only takes 15 minutes to straighten my hair now as opposed to an hour before. I have this iron for almost three years now and it has never let me down!

I have very thick, below shoulder length hair, and the HAI straigtens it all in about 20min. It's a very good flat iron for the price. I looked into many and this one gives you the best look for the best price.

This flat iron does an amazing job on my very curly and thick hair, much better than my old one. It takes about 20 minutes to straighten when i start with air dried hair. It used to take more than an hour (blow drying and straightening)to achieve not-so-straight results. I would just say be careful of holding the iron in one spot for too long because that can burn your hair and leave a weird crease mark, and also if your hair isn't completely dry when you iron it it will get scorched. I use this iron on the hottest setting and my hair hasn't been fried even from using it every day for the past two weeks i have had it. Overall, I am VERY VERY happy with this straightener, and the site has a really good price for it.

I've read many of the reviews on this iron and I must say I give it all the praise in the world!
I've been doing hair for five years now and this is truly the best I've had my hands on and trust me, there's been dozens. I've straightened the tightest, thickiest and coarsest hair out there with this guy. Almost all my curly headed clients own one.
I'm anal-retentive about hair being perfectly straight and frizz free and this iron delivers. JUST TREAT IT RIGHT!
I used mine everyday for 3 years at home and in the salon and only when i dropped it for the millionth time did it break... on a tile floor at work :-(
That's why I'm purchasing a new one. Everyone I know that has had them short-out treats them like crap and wraps the cord around the iron, or hangs it from a hook. You shouldn't treat any of your tools like that! No wonder they break.
Like I put before, I used this iron multiple times a day, on every hair type (without one person saying it pulled their hair) and had it last over 3 years.
BUY IT!

First off, my flat iron arrived in the mail faster than expected. But the iron itself is amazing. It's small and easy to use and it heats up quick. I cut my straightening time in half since I receieved this flat iron. I recomend it to anyone who wants fabulous straight hair.

This is the second HAI Convertable Flat Iron I have purchased. The first was in 2001 and began shorting out 5 years later. I love this iron, and the improvements on the one I just purchased are great. The on-off switch is more convenient, and the cord rotates better. This iron is the only one I have found which straightens my hair, which is coarse and curly (I am Caucasion). It heats up in less than a minute and cools down quickly, also.
