I think that you are not leaving the flat iron in your hair long enough. if you leave it in your hair longer than it will be straighter and you should use some anti-frizz oil..it really works! | scalp burn
Does the Hai burn the scalp if you touch the scalp while starting to straighten? Does it have pins to guide the hair? Question posted by Don Erickson Sat Jun 03 2006 Submit your answer | Reply by wendy

Most flat irons will burn the scalp if you get too close. Hai flat irons get extremely hot and will steam when you get close to the scalp, but you get used to it. They get my curliest hair clients straight, even if their hair is super curly at the root. The hai flat iron does not have pins to guide the hair, I use a non meltable comb in one hand the flat iron in the other. | | Reply by Taurence

If you burn your scalp which you can do with ANY straightener your hair will FALL OUT and you will be left with patches of baldness. And certainly, above all, do NOT straighten your hair when its wet.... EVEN if your rushing.. I REALLY paid for it :( | SHOULD I BUY OR NOT?

Hi, I know that the Hai Convertable Ceramic Flat Iron is Ceramic, but is it also an Ion iron??? I've heard that Ion irons are much better. I still don't know what iron to buy, if a CHI, SOLIA or a HAI... Which one do you think is better? Question posted by Ana Thu Jan 26 2006 Submit your answer | Reply by meagan

yes, the hai uses ions, it works excellent for people with frizzy hair... | HAI or Sedu?
I was browsing the ratings between the HAI and the Sedu flat irons, and cannot decide which to purchase. The price ranges are similar, and both have high ratings. I don't know if the Sedu is more complimentary only of its common advertisement? Question posted by Nicole Sat Jan 14 2006 Submit your answer fryage?

Yes, the cord shorts out. I started experiencing problems with the cord just a year after purchasing it. It's a shame, too, because it's an excellent flat iron. | comparison between HAI flat irons and CHI flat irons
For coarse hair, which iron works the best, the CHI flat irons or the HAI flat irons? More specifically, which iron retains moisture & protects the best? Question posted by DLynn Fri Oct 21 2005 Submit your answer | Reply by Mony

many of my friends have CHIs and their hair is FRYED. i havent tried HAI yet, but im getting it soon. my cousin works at a salon and says its better than CHI, so I would say to go with HAI. :D | hai 2 vs. Hai convertable
Im not sure whether to buy the Hai 2 or the Hai convertable, what is the difference and which one is better? Im looking for a hair straightener that gets my hair silky and very smooth. I'm also scared to buy the Hai, because I dont want mine to break. I had the sedu, which fried my hair the first time I used it. Is this worth it or should I try the Solia? I would choose the HAI convertable. The HAI 2 is large and bulkie to use. You will find this useful when you travel. I know that some people complain about the it malfunctioning but it seems to be far in between. If never tried the Sedu or Solia. The HAI is still my 1st choice. | How to curl?
I recently bought the HAI convertable about a month ago. I know how to straighten and flip hair with it, but I cannot figure out how to curl with it! With my other flat iron, all I had to do was run the flat iron through the hair and stop at the tip. Then, roll the hair around the flat iron to the desired height. Leave for a few seconds, then Voila! I tried that with this flat iron, and needless to say that it did not work! I was wondering if anyone knew how to curl with this flat iron, or had personally done it! Question posted by Lisa W. Tue Aug 09 2005 Submit your answer | Reply by Danielle

As you pull the iron down through your hair, start turning it in the direction you want your hair to curl. You want your hair to wrap around the iron as you pull the iron down through the end. I curl my hair this way all the time. It's easy, just hard to explain! | | Reply by Amy

To curl your hair with this flat iron you need to turn the iron in the desired direction (out or in) as you are going down the strand of hair. Do not stop anywhere, or release the twist until you have completly pulled the iron over the entire strand. I do it all the time | will a converter work

whenever you need to go to europe or a country with 220 vols you need to get a voltage converter. I have one with me with which I use a lot of things of 220 voltage to be used in the US and viseversa |
