that is a question you would have to consult with a person who lives there but in my experience the hai convertabile is good anywhere. | 220 Volts

I took this iron to Spain about a year ago, and the plates got so hot that when I started to straighten my hair the section I was on immediately began to literally sizzle, even though I had not changed the temperature, and I used a proper outlet converter. The straightener itself wasn't damaged though, as it still worked well when I got back to the States. Just make sure to straighten an inconspicuous test-section before risking a large section of hair to severe heat damage. | | Reply by pam

No, I am here b/c I was in Israel and even with a converter I fried my curling iron with 220. I am going to buy one in country next time I go so I have 220 and a 110 for USA.
I didn't have a converter but I would not trust it. | solia vs. hai
I'm trying to decide between the solia and Hai convertable. I know the solia is a tourmaline iron so does this make it better? Any recommendations? Question posted by Sabrina Sat Mar 24 2007 Submit your answer Where is it Made?

On the box it says it's MADE in china. but it's distributed from Poway, California, a neat little town | Breaking Down
I know with all tech products, sometimes they just break down. To prevent this from happening to a good investment, like the HAI which I am seriously considering getting, what are some things to do to take good care of it? And why do they break down sometimes? I have had Hai flat iron for at least 4 years and I have curly hair and when i'd blow dry my hair or use a cheap flat iron my hair would frizz right away. I love this Flat iron it makes my hair feel soft and it stays straight. I also use some kind of a frizz control that helps if u live some where where there is aolt of humidity like in florida where I live. | is this straightner good with wet and dry hair?
I know that you should typically have your hair dry, but when I get out of the shower my hair is sometimes damp. I tried using the CHI but it just made my hair really frizzy. The salon I went to used HAI so I wanted to know all the specs and details on it before I buy it. Can someone help me out? I think that you are not leaving the flat iron in your hair long enough. if you leave it in your hair longer than it will be straighter and you should use some anti-frizz oil..it really works! |
