I LOVE THE PRODUCT. I OWN THE HAI STIK AND NOW MY HAIR IS LONGER SO THE 2 INCH IRON IS QUICKER. I HAVE THE CURLIEST,WAVIEST MOST OUT OF CONTROL HAIR AND THE IRON TRANSFORMS IT LIKE MAGIC TO SMOOTH, SLEEK HAIR. I LOVED THE CONVENIENCE OF ORDERING ONLINE AND ACTUALLY SAVED $20.00 COMPARED TO THE SAME PRODUCT AT MY HAIRSTYLIST'S SALON. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS AWESOME AND RECIEVED MY IRON IN JUST A FEW DAYS. I DEFINITELY WILL PURCHASE FROM FOLICA AGAIN.

I have been straightening my hair for 9 years now. I tried everything to get straight silky hair. 4 years ago I purchased this flat iron, and I finally got my straight silky hair! It works great. This size is perfect for long hair. Its quick and it honestly does not damage or "fry" your hair. You don't even have to use it everyday. It's GREAT!!! I have always said, if mine breaks, I will never hesitate to go buy another. It's also a great deal, I paid $155 for mine elsewere. But with these great prices at folica.com, I'll definetaly buy my product from here. In fact, I have shared this web site with many of my friends and they either already have or are planning on making their purchases here. A friend of mine has a different brand of flat iron than mine. She regrets that one and wishes she would have listened to me when I told her to go with the "hai" brand. I have tried hers before and I never seem to get the same results as I do with mine. It actually makes my hair frizzier. In her case, her hair is never really straight. It still keeps a waive to it. With the "hai", her hair is as flat as a sheet of paper. SHE LOVES IT!!!
The best thing is when I don't straighten my hair and evryone says..."you got a perm!"
Every one thinks I have naturally smooth, silky, straight hair!

For better results and more shine...use a serum before straightening,(dime size amount). It gives your hair more shine and a smoother silkier finish. It also reduced static in your hair. You'll Love your new hair!

I love this product. With a new baby and a full time job, I just don't have the time to blow dry my hair out like I used to. This flat iron does the trick much faster, and I think it does less damage to my hair. The price on folica.com is also considerably lower than that of beauty supply stores in my area.

I started using HAI two years ago after having tried several bad straighteners!!! I truly love this straighter, not only did it straighten my hair so quickly, but it didn't damage it at all or leave it dry. All of my friends asked me where I got it, and I always recommended it to them. Since I have really really really thick hair, it took me hours to use other straighteners, but since this one is 2 1/4 inches thick, I was able to get a lot of hair all at once. I love HAI. Even if you don't have thick hair like me but want it really straight, I recommend the thinner version of this straightener. Best product I used.

I FOUND OUT ABOUT IT BY A FRIEND SHE USED IT ON ME AND I LOVE IT VERY MUCH!!! EVEN MY FAMILY LIKE THE WAY MY HAIR LOOKED.SO I HAD TO BUY IT! IT WORKS 100%. MY HAIR IS COARSE AND THICK, BUT ONCE I USED THE IRON COMES OUT NICE! I COULD GOT WITH IT FOR 2 TO 3 DAYS. I LOVE IT . U GIRRLS NEED TO BUY IT.

Like others have claimed, after a 4 yr love affair with my Sapphire it just stopped working (i've been told it may be b/c i wrapped the cord around it for storage- I've also dropped it many times). I swore by it, eventhough others have complained it's too hot or too heavy/bulky. I have VERY thick, coarse, frizzy, wavy/curly (not one or the other- just a mess) hair, so for me it was the only thing that ever did the trick. I was about to order another one when a friend suggested I try the HAI. She had the Japenese thermal straightening and I was worried that the ceramic irons were only good for people who had that process (which I did not). so I tried hers before ordering it and fell in love with a new beau. Although it's lighter in weight, I think it's actually a bit more difficult to use than the Sapphire since you can only do small clumps of hair at a time. Also, it doesn't clamp as tightly as the sapphire so you have to kind of clamp it extra at the tip with your fingers (obsessive hair straighteners should know what i'm talking about). But the results are worth it- my hair is even straighter and flatter with the HAI (WARNING- if you are not looking for flat-as-a-board hair this IS NOT for you). Also, I suspect I will be burning my face/neck less with the HAI since it's a thinner device. One thing I would caution about is that it gets VERY hot (if you choose so, which I do)- it seems even hotter than the Sapphire. So, I've hurt my fingers a couple of times grabbing a piece of newly ironed hair (but you don't have to put the temp that high). I also worry about damage due to this high temp, but so far it's no worse than the Sapphire. I do miss the little comb that came with the Sapphire, but I'll get over it as a result of the absolute BEST thing about the HAI: you can actually go for days (3 or 4) without re-ironing. The first time I used it, I did my hair at night and slept on it. When I woke up the next morning my hair was STILL PERFECTLY STRAIGHT (I bet you're saying, "NO WAY!!!") With the Sapphire, I would have to iron it EVERY day to keep it really nice. No more, which makes it easier when travelling for the weekend- since you don't have to lug around the iron-- and less likely that I'm doing damage to my hair-- since I only really have to iron it 2 or 3 times a week. Go for the HAI- it's worth the money if you have CHSS, like me.

I bought a solano 5 years ago...it was the 2.5 inch one. It was well worth the money! but alas it finally died. So I thought I would try a new product. So I went to my local beauty shop and returned two before trying this HAI.
I like it. Although the design doesn't seem as "tough" as Solano but straightens my hair well. Take it I have very thick hair and tons of it!!!!so i need a serious iron! this will do the job. Stay away from magic ifared it was not worth it!!!! returned that one and sedu! not worth your time.Also if you are like me and have really thick hair and long hair dont' bother with anything smaller than 2 inches wide!
Best hair tool I have ever had!!!!

I love this product, my hair is super wavy, it doesn't know if it wants to curl or go straight....I hate it....but this hair iron makes my hair so managable, soft and smooth. It doesn't burn my hair either, even on the highest setting. And quick too!! 10-15 minutes tops!

I LOVE THIS FLAT IRON! I bought a cheap one..its sucked! I was looking online and saw this one...and I absolutely love it! wouldnt trade it for anything! with all the humidity in the south it never gets frizzy or anything! BUY ONE!:-D

I love the HAI 2! :) It's great. I have really long, naturally curly hair and the HAI 2 works great. I wash my hair, blow dry and iron...I keep the temp at 400 degrees, as my hair is thick...and I only have to go over a section 1 time! I leaves my hair bouncy, very nice to look at and nice to the touch. I get sooo many compliments. I use Redken "Smoothdown" products as well. Great combo! :) Buy it. It's worth all $100-something dollars.

I am an african american woman with very very long unrelaxed hair. My stylist uses the HAI Converter and recommended the brand to me. I first purchased the Sedu iron which was ok, but it was too light and did not get as hot. I love this iron because its plates do not yank my hair out, it gets hot, but is not hot to hold. It was a great investment!! I have a Gold n Hot ceramic which is a joke by comparison. This iron has finger grips at the end so you can straighten the hair very well. The Hai Converter works great too (that is what my stylist uses)! I would recommend deep conditioning your hair because it is torture on your ends, but the hair gets really straight and lasts. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO WOMEN OF COLOR WITH CURLY, COURSE, OR STRAIGHT HAIR!!. Good Luck!

For the Money they charge, the electrical cord desin is cheap, it breaks within the year. You cant even find the manufacturer on line to buy a new ord...and that sucks..

I bought this hair straightener about 1.5 years ago. I have medium length, curly red hair. The HAI got my hair the straightest it has ever been and did a great job for about a year. However, as other reviews have complained, the cord at the base of the straightener becomes loose and it stops getting as hot and only works when held at a certain angle. I must say though, that it made my hair beautifully straight and shiny for a year and the price was worth it for how good my hair looked. However, I did purchase a Sedu this time around...

I bought this flat iron about 2 years ago from this site. I lived in San Diego, and recently moved to Oregon where the weather is more damp. The flat iron works just as good here, and even with the added moisture, my hair doesn't get frizzy. I love this flat iron, the cheap ones by other brands in regular stores are ceramic, but not worth it because of the damage to your hair by uneven heat. This tool was reccommended by my stylist and I have colored hair. I love it, and this site has a great price!

at first i noticed a huge diference between this straightner and my old hot tools one which absolutely fried my hair, my hair defintaly started looking healthier, but for some reason now i have to put a jaw clip around the cord right where it connects to the straightener otherwise it wont owrk i have to bend the wire a certain way. also i recommend the HAI 1, not this one, it works better so does the chi ive used my friends straighteners this one my hair gets poofy and ugly like 5 min later. not the best deal out there
