This flat iron is very rough on hair...it just snags. Also, The first time I used the HAI, I burned my hand after I touched my hair. I returned the HAI for another Solia (now I have two Solias). The HAI is not good, but Folica is absolutely outstanding!

I have the longest most difficult hair on this earth!
And with this iron (and the right styling products of course) my hair is straight and soft and fabulous in like 20min!!!! Before, it used it to take me 2 & a half hours!!!!!!!!!

i bought this same one 5 years ago for about $200 and i just broke witch was my fault i plugged it into a European outlet and blew a fuse or something but now im buying another one because it is truly the best!

This flat iron is the best of the best. It leaves my hair silky smooth and heats up in seconds flat. Definitely recommended!

I love this iron I recommended it to many friends 5 of whom purchased it and sware by it. Although I am very happy with it I had it for only 1.5 years and at the time I paid $105 for it. I would expect that for that price I should get at least 5 years use. I see others have also mentioned wiring problems after around a year. Despite the short life expectancy I am purchasing another Hai Ceramic 2 1/4 inch because it does remain the best hair iron out there and I can't survive without one

i owned a chi before i bought the hai 2 flat iron. the chi was great but way too small for my thick long hair. the hai 2 is the perfect size for my hair and it heats up so fast. i have no complaints so far and i don't think i will. highly recommend this.

this flat iron heats up very well and stays hot. there is a strange oder that comes off it when you first use it for the first few weeks( i think its just because its new). i think the plates are too slippery for my hair. so i have to use it very slowly. its not bad though. its a heck of alot better than any conair product.
The best flat iron I have ever used !!!

I love this iron ! It makes my hair so smooth soft silky and shiny. It does not snag rip or pull my hair. It heats up quickly and it works great to bump my ends under without using a curling iron. I have pretty straight fine thin hair naturally. However I do get frizzies ... which I cannot stand. This iron does not burn or fry my fine thin hair. I just use a dab of Redkin smooth down , blow dry , flat iron and wa-lah !!! Oh ,by the way ... this is my 2nd HAI 2. Never had problems with the 1st one. I dropped it on a tile floor and it broke to pieces. Definitely 2 thumbs up !!!

I receive the HAI 2 about a few week and when I first used it I didn't like it becuase I felt that it wasn't heating up and my hair looked frizzy but when I used it the second I felt like a princess with silky shinny hair. I would recommend it to anyone.....

I purchased my Hia about two years ago and about 5 months ago the wiring started shorting out.
So needless to say I loved it for about a year and a half and then it just broke.
Too much money for such a short while to use it.

After having my hair cut and professionally flat ironed, I never wanted to go back to the cheap Sally's Beauty iron again! I read every single review on this site for HAI2 before making the purchase - I consider $90 a bit extravagant for a flat iron. I'm a mixed race woman (black & white) with thick, frizzy hair. This iron allows me to have the straight hair I've always wanted with virtually no other products in my hair. The only product I need is a heat-protecting spray, which I use as I flat iron each section. This was the best investment I've made in years. I've had the iron for about 2 months and have had no issues either with the cord or the plates, but I am very careful because the other reviewers say that dropping the appliance or wrapping the cord around it may cause short outs. This is simply the best flat iron I've ever owned and I cannot imagine doing my hair again without it.

This is the second HAI flat iron of this kind I had to buy, after the first one's electrical wire became disconnected and wouldn't stay on. I love the straightener, but was dissapointed that it broke within about a year and a half of purchasing it.

Prior to owning the Hai 2 I ordered the Hai Convertible. I ordered it because I wanted a wider iron. The Hai 2 was such a dissapointment. I received the first on and it was faulty. I returned it and FOLICA was wonderful about it. I received my new one with in a week or so. But the second one did the same thing. It didn't work as well as the convertible. I still own it, but unfortunately it collects dust in my closet. I wanted to call FOLICA again for that iron but I felt it was going to be frowned upon. However my Hai convertible is the best iron on the planet. I LOVE the Hai convertible, and my hair is down to my waist.I'm from the Dominican Republic and I relax my hair. I get more compliments when I do my hair myself then when I go to the salon. Even in the rain my hair does not frizz up. I can really say that I don't know how I survived without it. I did alot of research before I purchased an iron. I even tried a couple of them. I love my Hai convertible.

I've had this flat iron for over 2 years now and it still works as well as it did the first time I bought it. I'm half-black,half-white and in the past had used Hot Tools metal irons. But I noticed my hair becoming fried and damaged, so I decided to make an investment in a ceramic iron. I did alot of research and decided on the HAI, and I will never use another brand!!

I love this flat iron. I was going to go for the 2" CHI flat iron that was priced much higher, and I'm glad I didn't. I've used both, and I like this one just as much. It heats up quickly, works super fast, and hasn't damaged my somewhat course and porous hair. I really love it!

This iron is great...I haven't found an iron better than this one. I makes my hair so straight and it never makes my hair tips look burnt. I really recommend this hair iron to everyone who's looking for one.

I have tried a lot of flat irons, but this brand is by far the best that I have bought! I have thick hair and the smaller irons took forever to use on my hair. I also like the HAI ceramic iron as it does not fry my hair like the others that I've tried.
Folica.com is great! Not only was the product in stock, they also had the best prices compared to everywhere else I looked!
