HAI 2 Ceramic Flat Iron, works well for very thick curly hair. I'm very please with my purchase and would highly recommend it. It also has rounded sides not like the other flat irons, which give a more choppy look to your ends. HAI allows you to turn in your ends, giving it a more finished and polished look (of course my opinion). I was also very please with folica.com, I received my flat iron in ONE DAY. Thank you.
Be gentle with the power supply cord

This is the 2nd HAI 2 that I purchased in 3 years. The first one had a problem with the power supply cord. Towards the end, if the cord was held at a certain angle (near the plug), it worked fine. Otherwise it was "dead". I now have have my 2nd HAI 2 set up so that I don't have to plug it in everytime I'm ready to use it. That will help in saving it from "normal wear & tear such as shorts in the power supply cord or plug" that is not covered by the warranty. I was afraid to try another brand for fear that I would not get the same result as the HAI 2. Other than that, I'm still happy with the product & it's result.

This is the best flat iron that I have used. I used the Chi and find that the HAI works on my natural hair better. This might just be the best product for African-American hair out there!

Got it few weeks ago. I used a it few times now and I love it!! Its great for long hair. I had the sedu but I like the wider 2 1/4" plates on the HAI. I would highly recommend this iron for anyone with long hair. Worth the money!!

THE SAME THING AS KARITZA...IT HAPPENED TO ME! I realized this morning how the cord is not working properly and that the little red light goes on and off because of the cord! I was late for work cause i couldnt get my hair the way i like it since it doesnt heat up as usual! Im sad...I came here to look for more, but should i buy the same one? i dont know now, maybe the same thing will happen after a year, considering the fact that i got mine a year ago also....and the year before that i had another one but thinner, and the same thing happened!!! what should i do!?, i cant live without my hai! haha

I loved this straightner its awesome...My hair is super curly and frizzy and with all the other starighteners i tried it either made my hair frizzy and straight or it didnt straighten at all. This straightener works Great it straightens without making it frizzy. I set my straightner to 350 degrees it gets hot within a couple seconds it Rocks...

It works great on long hair!!! I recently cut my hair and found it very hard to use at the back, I have owned the sleeker Hai and it was much better for short hair.

I bought this HAI about a little over a years ago & have been nothing but pleased with my purshase and raving about it to who ever will listen. However about a week ago the little red light stopped working & unless the cord is in a certain position the iron doesn't heat up and your hair isn't as straight as it could be. I did get a good year out of my iron BUT shouldn't it last longer? These flat iron's aren't cheap! It shouldn't work just beyond the warrenty. I was reading reviews on the smaller HAI's which I am now considering because mine is broken and I read several reviews on the same thing happening to their HAI's. Just want you all to be prepared that this can happen. It's a great iron and I love it but I wish I could have gotten a little more use out of it before it died.
Over all I would recommened it does the job. I have thick wavy hair and it works!
Although reached little late but Its was good.

Thank you for sending me such an amazing hair product.It was nicely packed and brand new.I would suggest you to take Extra care in writing the address labels and should include a note for the delivery Guy.My product reached late and it was delivered at my Apartment complex managment office and no note was left at my door to inform me.Any way this flat iron seems excellent so far.

This flat iron is very rough on hair...it just snags. Also, The first time I used the HAI, I burned my hand after I touched my hair. I returned the HAI for another Solia (now I have two Solias). The HAI is not good, but Folica is absolutely outstanding!

I have the longest most difficult hair on this earth!
And with this iron (and the right styling products of course) my hair is straight and soft and fabulous in like 20min!!!! Before, it used it to take me 2 & a half hours!!!!!!!!!

i bought this same one 5 years ago for about $200 and i just broke witch was my fault i plugged it into a European outlet and blew a fuse or something but now im buying another one because it is truly the best!

I love this iron I recommended it to many friends 5 of whom purchased it and sware by it. Although I am very happy with it I had it for only 1.5 years and at the time I paid $105 for it. I would expect that for that price I should get at least 5 years use. I see others have also mentioned wiring problems after around a year. Despite the short life expectancy I am purchasing another Hai Ceramic 2 1/4 inch because it does remain the best hair iron out there and I can't survive without one

i owned a chi before i bought the hai 2 flat iron. the chi was great but way too small for my thick long hair. the hai 2 is the perfect size for my hair and it heats up so fast. i have no complaints so far and i don't think i will. highly recommend this.

this flat iron heats up very well and stays hot. there is a strange oder that comes off it when you first use it for the first few weeks( i think its just because its new). i think the plates are too slippery for my hair. so i have to use it very slowly. its not bad though. its a heck of alot better than any conair product.

I love this iron ! It makes my hair so smooth soft silky and shiny. It does not snag rip or pull my hair. It heats up quickly and it works great to bump my ends under without using a curling iron. I have pretty straight fine thin hair naturally. However I do get frizzies ... which I cannot stand. This iron does not burn or fry my fine thin hair. I just use a dab of Redkin smooth down , blow dry , flat iron and wa-lah !!! Oh ,by the way ... this is my 2nd HAI 2. Never had problems with the 1st one. I dropped it on a tile floor and it broke to pieces. Definitely 2 thumbs up !!!
