ok i have never been one to buy in on peoples reviews nor have i ever left a review for any product. im a college student and have limited time and even more, limited money. i bought this iron and i have naturally wavy hair that is COARSE and stubborn as all hell but i just wash my hair with biolage shampoo and conditioning balm, put some biosilk serum in it, and let it air dry then i run my HAI 2 thru it and in 15 minutes my hair is like SILK. blow dryig makes it a frizzy mess and those cheap conair or hot tools ones messed up my hair so bad in the past but i HIGHLY recommend this. i am very studious in my studies BUT id buy this for a 100 dollars rather than a textbook that i need!! THIS IS HUGE for me!! GET IT GET IT GET IT this wil be the best investment ever!!! just check out the pic!!!!!

I love my HAI flat iron. I've had it for years and it still works beautifully. I have long wavy hair and it usually takes about 15 minutes to straighten it. It has one of the widest ceramic plates available, which makes it ideal for longer hair.
I've bought this same exact one for many of my friends and family (so they stop borrowing mine) and everybody loves it. It goes with me everywhere. I travel a great deal, so it's seen many countries. I'll get a new one, when this one gives out... but it just wont!!
Just Another Overpriced Straightener

I ordered this flat iron off for my birthday, and I was super excited to get it in the mail, because the last flat iron i had was one of the Conair $20 ones from the Drugstore, which took 2 hours to straighten my hair. When I got the HAI 2, I immediately tried it out with my new heat protectant... only to be extremely disappointed. Yes, it did heat up very fast, but it took more then 2 passes to get one small piece of hair straight. Also, when I finally finished straightening my hair, which took a whole 30 minutes less then my old flat iron, my hair was poofy and totally unhealthy and dead looking, with no shine whatsoever. I honestly preferred my thick frizzy curls to the finished product of my flat ironed hair. I am planning on returning the HAI 2 and going with something cheaper and better quality. I was very disappointed and suggest trying out this flat iron before making an uninformed purchase

Incredible! This flat iron has lasted for over 8 years, the only reason Im buying a new flat iron is because I took this one on a trip to Argentina and the converter that I used was not enough voltage and burnt :(
Im getting a more slick HAI since its available now as this one is a bit bulky.
In summary, I highly recommend getting this flat iron if you want it to last.
awesome!

My brother bought me this flat iron about 5 years ago. I have long, frizzy, thick hair & it works wonders! I love it! I'm just now buying a new one & i used the old one almost everyday. Definitely love how wide it is. Perfect for people with lots of hair. A++

This is amazing. I first bought the smaller one that has a blue plate and it was great. Everyone at work wanted to use it and all my friends wanted to use it. I bought the larger red plate one for my sister for mothers day. Since we both have really long thick hair, I ended up using hers more, so I decided to buy the larger red plate also. I've had the blue one for 5 years and it still works like new. The red one is still working perfectly.
I am hooked on this HAI Iron

I ususally never take the time to write reviews, but this iron is so fanatstic, I just had to write about it. I am a clutz when it comes to my hair and can never manage to get that just out of the salon look. I have been getting hair extensions from Hair Extension expert Nicole Bilzor and I could never get my extensions straight like what she does when she dries my hair. I spend so much money on my hair, but I really cant afford to pay $60.00 twice a week for blow dires. Nicole suggested that I purchase this iron, and I love it!!!!! I may even buy an extra, just in case mine breaks.
AWESOME for long wavy hair

I have coarse, wavy, long hair and this is the first flat iron I have purchased that controlled my hair. Also, this price is unbeatable, as well as the fast shipping. Even compared to my chi and sedu, this is definitely the best!
Rocks!

I initially purchased the Sedu but was very dissapointed. But I guess that depends on your hair length and type. I choose the HAI over the Sedu because my hair is very long and thick and I didn't want to spend forever straightening it when I wanted to wear it straight. The HAI with it's 2.5 inch plates gets my long thick hair bone straight in about 30 minutes. Even damp. I'm so glad I returned my Sedu for the HAI!
Breaks your hair off

I purchased one of these thinking it wa 100% ceramic not plated. I recently found out that is not the case! I called and asked if it was ceramic before I bought it and was told that it was. It has broken so much hair off around my face I cannot wear it pilled back because it looks terrible. My suggestions if you want a hair straightner is make sure it is 100% ceramic.
Awesome!

I've had my HAI 2 for four years now. It still works great although it is probably time to buy a new one as the edges of the ceramic are starting to wear off now. I've used it 3x/week for four years and it delivers beautifully straight hair every time. I love the weight of it. My hair is coarse and when I tried the lighter weight(equally expensive) flat irons, it took soooo much longer to straighten my hair than it does with my HAI 2.
Bang for your buck!

I've had my share of flat irons. With curly hair, it isn't easy getting away with a store bought iron (conair, revlon, etc). This is actually my second HAI that I've owned and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone! I would say that my first HAI broke b/c of my daily use and careless treatment.

This product sucks- because it is such good quality that i feel forced to buy it for a 3rd time in a row- but why is it that right about the time when the waurantee expires it breaks- why does it only have to last a year???? I keep buying it again-bec i dont feel that anything out there performs as well..but every year another hair iron???!?!?
Good...not great.

I have always loved HAI straighteners and this definitely will not be a disappointment...just won't blow you away. Great for extra long hair, but otherwise stick with the 1 inch width.
Good iorn...bad cord!

I have had this flat iron for about 3 years. I have always been very happy with the way it worked. My hair stays smooth and silky even on rainy days. However, 3 years ago when I 1st bought this iron, I had two others (exact same models) that I had to return for bad electrical cords. Finally, my third time was a charm-unitl now. I am now having to buy a new flat iron because, yet again, the electrical cord has shorted out. Not the plug but at the connection to the unit. I have loved it daily, for 3 years, but the cord issue has been a problem for me and other reviewers as well. Also, just a note...unless you have hair past your shoulders, it best to stick to a smaller size plate. 2-1/4" is a little large and harder to manage.
They're all the same

Ive had the chi, the sedu, the cheap one from Walgreens and this one, and I can safely say theyre all the same.
My curly hair can be straightened by all of them, however it is not perfection. The only thing that really makes a difference for me is what products I use with the straightener.
My only complaint on this one is that its heavy and tires your arm after awhile, especially if you have long hair.
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got fed up with spending a fortune on terrible flat irons until I came across this one. WOW is all I have to say. Going from a flat iron that took me about an hour and twenty minutes to do my hair down to a wicked 7 minutes. Come on! where do you go wrong. This product is so wicked I recommend it to anyone and everyone. On top of that Folica was fast to deliver. Im in Canada and I thought it would take at least a week...umm no...it took 2 days...not even, a day and a half....fast service...even better product!!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!!

I gave it to my daughter for Christmas, and she really loves it. The only negative comment she had was that it was a little too heavy; however, it was not much of an issue because it didn't take long to do her hair.

I have VERY!! curly frizzy hair, it usually still looks frizzy after straighting it.I also own another flat iron made bu Bead Head cost me around $90.00 dollars that dosn't compare. HAI 2 is the best even on a rainy day I'm more than happy with it. I love It.
