While gray magic DOES work well for covering gray and achieving longer lasting hair color - my grays would just not stay gone ! Expert colorists advice : Do the mixing with peroxide first - as exactly explained in the instructions - and saturate those stubborn grays to soften and open the hair cuticle so it will accept the color for better results ... ( while grays are of a drier and much more wiry texture than the the rest of your hair , that makes for difficult coverage of hair coloring products . And if it does cover completely , it doesn't last very long .) After this initial step to rid your hair of unwanted gray , proceed with your usual hair coloring regimen . The result ? OUTSTANDING !
