I just purchased this Global Beauty hair straightener in the beginning of April. I love it. I have really thick, coarse hair. I was really reluctant in purchasing it because of the price. I thought there really wouldn't be any difference from the one that I purchased at CVS. My hairdresser kept telling me that I really need to spend a little more money to get a really good flat iron. Well, I bit the bullet and purchased this flat iron.
Results?? I can't believe how smooth and shiney it makes my hair, not to mention STRAIGHT! It was well worth the money. Seriously. The CVS flat iron is now in the trash. It didn't work NEARLY as well as the Global Beauty. So, if you are debating on spending $100.00. Do It! You won't regret it. You will end up saving money. I don't need to go to my hairdresser anymore to have her straighten my hair. I can do it myself!

Before this, I had a scheissy Revlon that I could get my hair straight with after like an hour...and then it would frizz when I went outside. With this straightener, I am done in 10 minutes and my hair doesn't frizz. It sounds silly but it really boosted my self esteem, and I'm not constantly worrying if my hair is getting frizzy or not. Take it from me, I have alot of thick, wavy hair and this works wonders. I really recommend this product and the money is well worth it...and it's free shipping right now and a free pad thing to keep it on...I mean...come on!

The product arrived quickly, which is important to all of us. My daughter has very very thick hair and requires a good product. A hair straightener that you may purchase at Walgreens, CVS or Walmart simply never did the trick. There is a substantial price difference between those and the one here. However, if you count the three previous hair starighteners that I purchased from CVS and Walgreens and that died or never quite worked at all, the prices even out and in the long run the Global Beauty Ceramic Hair Straightener saved me money.

I was very pleased to find that this model has temp control as compared to the model I am replacing. Heats fast and evenly. The last one made it 3 years of everyday use.

I hav wild long curly hair and since my flat iron makes my hair dry i went to my friends hosue who has this flat iron i used it and it made my hair look and feel silky. I felt lik i went 2 da salon and got it done. I recommend this to every1 da price mayb high trust me it was hard 2 convince my momz 2 buy it but its worf it!!

My daughter, teenager, told me it was time to get out of the eighty's style and move into the 20th century. My sister had recently purchased a Flat Iron from Folica and told me that she was coming to do my hair. When she was all done, I was totally amazed. I lost 10 years off of my age immediately and looked exactly like my daughter. The good thing about the Folica Iron is that my hair is not getting dried out and damaged from the iron. It is totally different then any other flat iron that I have ever used. My hair is naturally curly and now I have hair as straigth as the flat iron itself! It is totally amazing!! I have sinced purchased another iron so that I don't have to wait on my daughter to get down with her hair. What a great job Folica has done with the creation of this iron.

I have used this straightener for 4 year until recently when it finally quit on me. I paid 250.00 for this item in Canada from my hair dresser and it was worth every cent I paid for it.
My hair was always smooth and straight and I used it atleast 3 times a week on my thick hair without causing damage. I didn't have the heart to part with it so as ridiculously as it sounds, I still have it in the box in a closet. Recently I purchased a straightner from a different manufacturer because I got it 50% off an introductory special and I'm happy to say it works just as good, but it took a long time to find one as good.
As far as straightners go, don't skimp and do your homework. Make sure you can return it (used) if you don't like it, because you probably will until you realize that unfortunately you will have to pay more for a really good product but the results and usuage you get will be well worth it. If I hadn't gotten my new straightner at an introductory price, I would have purchased this one again.

I love this straightener!! I have very course, thick and wavy Latina hair and this works wonders! It straightens within the first stroke and gives my hair a very shiny look without burning my hair. It isn't even on the highest temp setting. Worth it and would buy it again!

I love this straightner b/c it keeps my hair shiny and straight. Even after a long night, my hair still looks good in the morning. It's a kind of expensive, but worth it if you want a good quality straightner.

I purchase the Global beauty after taking my daughter to a hairstylist to straighten her hair who used the global beauty. Of course, it cost a great deal to have the hairstylist staighten her hair. My daughter (bi-racial) is 4 and I have never seen her hair straight. I loved it and thought it would be a great investment down the road when she gets older and can do her own hair. I was a little sceptic that I would be able to do it as good as the hairstylist but the global beauty worked beautifully. It did not take long at all. For a 4 year old, 15 minutes is a lifetime. I am so glad I decided to make the investment.

My hair is very curly. It usually takes me about to 1 hour and 45 minutes to straighten my hair. On day i went over to this friends house who had the straightener and she gave it to me. It worked awesome. It only took me about 25 to 30 minutes to straighten my hair. I've had the staightner for about 9-10 months. But one day it fell off the bathroom counter and one of the gold plates came off. I tried to put them back together but they wouldn't stay.

I have long, thick, curly hair and have never been able to get it super straight- blowing it out was a joke. It just looked fluffy and frizzy. Other straightening irons just tangled it. My sister owns the Global Beauty and tried it out on my hair as a challenge. It was AMAZING!!! It looked shiny and perfect and not fluffy at all. I could run my fingers through it and it lasted for two days without a single wave.

I have amazingly thick thick hair. I have gone through probably about 10 differant types of straightners then finnaly bought a Global Beauty iron. The one I have now is the second one I have had because I broke it by dropping it. But we sent it into the company and they sent us a new one. So do not complain about it breaking when you are the one breaking it. And they always give refunds/new straightners. It has a life time warranty afterall. With my hair it is worth the money.

I went to the beauty salon today and my hair is extremely curls and when I used it, I was so amazed! I looked so much better. My friends all like my hair, if you don't like your, I suggest this. Its all worth it in the end. If your a teenager like me, beg your parents!

I have really thick wavy hair. It sometimes could be comepared to a lions mane! I was nannying and the father's sister was visiting. I saw she had this hair straightner on the counter and thought of trying it. I assumed it would be pretty good because she works at a hair salon and would know what would work good. AND IT DID!!! I don't think my hair ever looked like that...ever! It was so smooth, soft, and straight! It made my hair look even longer which is great cause I'm trying to grow it out! When I stopped by my families house they noticed right aways. They kept saying how long it was. I almost felt like those models on those shampoo commercials! :) Everyday I'd go over there I use it. I even tried buying a hair straightner I thought would be just as good, and it wasen't! I'm going to be screwed when she leaves and takes it with her. I have to get one!! It's the best out there!
