i dont know, i've been trying to figure that out!! i think you can, but it doesn't turn out that well. i straightened a little bit of my hair, and it seemed to be okay.

ur safest bet is to when hair wet put on matrix sleek look smoothing system. it is dewsigned for thick hair n it works on ma hair which is thick n curly as well.afterwards while still wet put on frizz ease serium but buy the purple one which is for thick n use a lil bit. than put on roller n let ur hair dry in the hair dryer n than pass the global beauty iron. trust me t will stay for days even if its raining... goob luck ;)

Curling with a straightener is easy, 1) Get A Section Of Hair (as thick as you want the curl) 2) Clap The Hair About 1cm Away From Your Scalp 3) Pull Down As If Straightening Done!!..Thats It.. The Slower You Pull The Straighteners Down Your Hair The Tighter Your Curl Will Be Have Fun..x

Both of my daughters have very thick naturally curly hair, and this is the only straightener that we have found that works. It is much quicker than other straighteners (20 minutes avg). It is also much easier on their hair. It does not dry it out. We are looking to buy a second one since one girl is off at college and cannot live without it.

yes it is!! my best friend has this straitener and her hair is LONG and wavie but it is so shinie and helthy looking!!! it only takes like 2 min. to straiten her hair with this straightener and it takes me like a hour when i use mine (i have a rimington(cheep)) and her hair is twice as long as mine!!!!!this straightener is really good!!!!

My hair is very thick and wavy also, and yes it would take me hours to straighten, with little to show for my efforts the following day! Now it’s a case of half an hour with this product. I have found these hair irons to be the best. I get a professional looking finish from these irons. I can iron my hair and it lasts a week with these irons, with no need to top up everyday! Breakage can be a combination of factors. You may need a good cut, if your hair is colored/bleached it will be more likely to break. You may be over using other irons or heating products to control your hair, if this is the case then minimizing the need to apply heat products on your hair will minimize the damage. So these irons are ideal for that as you don’t have to keep on using them all the time to control frizz ect. You may not be using a protection product before ironing/using heat products, such as hair dryers/heated rollers etc on your hair. These products can be sticky and leave your hair feeling heavy. You have to pick on that’s right for you and not over use them. Always use a hair protection product before ironing or using heat products on your hair. A really good intensive conditioning treatment is also a good idea and use it regularly. Hope this helps.

This product is awesome and it worth getting it, my hair is like yours and this iron works wonders,find out if you can send a check or something, I don't think you can get this product from anywhere else, BUT you might go to a beauty salon and have them order it for you.

Go to Ulta they sell Global Beauty flat irons, but beware they are pricey!

Courtney i am from Temple Texas. I bought my last 2 Chi's from JC Penny. I was told on my last purchase that they now carry a 2 year warranty. Check at your local mall for the JC Penny beauty salon they should have them.

No! A stylist told me this will damage your hair. I tried it and my hair started smoking and it looked a little fried-do not use on damp hair :o(

If anyone reads this It actually works better if it is damp that somke comming off was steam from heating the water. That is what happens when you dry hair if you dry your hair with a blow drier the same thing happens just not as fast because the Iron is hotter! you just have to use a protectant in your hair first. While it is damp rub it in (I use stuff called Kiwi)then strighten it is easier if it is damp goes faster. I have been using this flat Iron for 2 years and my hair has never been healthier!
