I love this flatiron, my hair has never been so smooth and shiny. It is comfortable to hold and easy to use. The cord is soft and flexible unlike some of the stiff cords I've encountered in the past. The only thing I wish this flatiron had was an adjustable temperature gauge for people with finer hair. This is a great flatiron for coarse hair.

I just bought the Kenta Straightner from Folica and love it the only thing I'm unsure of is he spring makes noise when you shut the straightner. I know someone who has had there kenta for seven years and 130.00 is worth the price knowing you will never need to replace it.

I am completely satisfied with my Kenta flat iron. I recently purchased a second one after my first iron gave out, after 5 years. I decided to go with the same product because even after 6 years my sister still uses hers everyday. It is honestly a great product because I tried using a different brand (ceramic) & didn't work well on my hair. I tried sticking with the ceramic but was excited one day when I found the Kenta online. I didn't realize that they were still being sold because my first one was a gift. Let me tell you even though it is a bit expensive I am glad I purchased it after having to struggle with the ceramic brand. I do my hair in less time now. What can I say I really do love this product.

My daughter loves her new Gis Kenta Flat Iron! She had first used her girlfriend's Gis Kenta Iron and immediately recognized what an outstanding product it was. She is now gleefully using this wonderful product at home and her hair looks lustrous and luxurious!!!!

While this iron definately did an awsome job it was really scary to use because you will definately get burnted! My mom and I have very thick course hair and she loved it more than me. Its really good for thick hair but it didn't last long. I only had it for about a year and it died! I would recommend the CHI or the FHI iron its better and it won't damage your hair as much as this Kenta iron. Also, I don't think this iron is ceramic so it can be very damaging.

My daughter received this flat iron for a Christmas present. She absolutely loves it. It leaves her hair so smooth and shiny. She has used other irons from department stores, but this one has superior quailty. I really did not realize the difference it would make. But, the outcome was remarkable.

The Gis Kenta Flat Iron is the only iron that has worked in my hair and all my friends... I had a Gis Kenta flat iron before i bought another one and it lasted me 5 years. It's totally worth getting for the price that it is!

This flat iron is what I have been searching for for a long time. I have very thick, curly, heavy hair. I have tried everything to get the sleek look that my stylist gives me; to no avail. This iron gets HOT and smoothes my hair like silk. Occasionally, strands of hair will get caught and pull, but if that is what I have to sacrifice to get the smooth, straight look I want, I can deal with that!

THE ONLY THING IS IT DID NOT COME WITH A WARRANTY. A $130.00 FLAT IRON SHOULD COME WITH AT LEAST A 3 YEAR WARRANTY. AND MY HAIR REPETIVELY GETS CAUGHT BETWEEEN THE TWO SIDES....ITS VERY PAINFUL. THIS FLAT IRON STRAIGHTENS MY HAIR BETTER THAN ANYTHING I HAVE EVER USED BEFORE.

I had a Kenta 5 years ago, and it blew a fuse. Since then I have tried several expensive($100-200) straighteners and for some reason, nothing compares to Kenta. I have long hair, which is fine and somewhat wavy ~ which turns into frizzy hair. NOTHING gets my hair as sleek, smooth and stick straight. I just received my new one from Folica and cannot believe I waited so long.

My friend came into town and brought her kenta. I used it and I was amazed! I have the thickest hair ever and it's long to. It usally took me about an hour to straighten my hair and it was still frizzy and poofy. With my other straightener it only takes me around 15 min and it's as straight as it could be! by far the best straightner and worth your money!

This flat iron is the best! I have tried every kind of straightening tool out there and this is the best. Being multi-racial (Native American/African/Caucasian), my hair texture is a mixture of course/fine hair. The Kenta effectively straightens my course hair and doesn't damage my fine hair. My hair stylist used this flat iron on my hair and I loved it! I recently have purchased my own Kenta and I can't believe how well it works.

i love this straightener... it gets very hot and it straightens real well...ive had it for like 3 years and it broke which is real unusual, and i bought a different straightener from my salon where i bought the kenta and the new one was called the RUSK and my hairdresser recomended it and it was $100.00 and i used it and you have to use much smaller pieces and it pulls your hair, so i tried to return it and get the kenta and they wouldnt except it so im willing to spend the money and buy this flat iron becasue it is worth it and it straightens really fast and keeps it straight... i recomend it... of all my straighteners this one is my favorite...

i think this flat iron is definitely worth the money. I would have rated it 5 stars with the exception it does burn my forhead and ear a lot. It has lived up to the higher standards I ever imagined. I would recommend it to anyone.

While the Kenta certainly straightned my hair, I have burned the right side of my face by my eye three times in 10 months of having it. Further, my hair often catches in the hinge, pulling and breaking.
The texture of my hair and the quality of the straightening are great, though. I do have the Bio Ionic straightening treatment so the effort with which I had to use the Kenta is easy (less than 10 minutes for corse/wavy, medium length hair).
Unfortunately, it died while I was overseas last week so I just ordered the Sedu 1" based on customer reviews.
Prepare to burn your forehead!

I was given this hair straightener as a gift and it works very, very well at straightening. However, because the sides of this flat iron are also exposed and are also very heated, I have yet to use this and not either burn my forehead or an ear. As I said, it does work very well at straigthening, but I would not recommend it.
